We did the Old Goa Heritage Walk tour today with our family. Our tour guide was Valentino. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to explain everything in great detail. His passion for Goa and history was clearly demonstrated and made the tour more enjoyable. We felt like we were back in time as he described minute details and stories associated with each church. The tour lasted two hours and exceeded our expectations in every possible way. We highly recommend this tour.

We took their Fontainhas heritage walk and old Goa heritage walk. Both were totally worth our time and we got a good dose of history of Goa and we went around to see some of the old heritage of Goa which is fascinating and otherwise almost forgot by the city it is blooming into and most of the sites are barely well preserved by the government bodies. This is a must do activity!

My friends and I were keen on doing something more than just beaches this time around on our Goa trip and since I had been on similar heritage walks in other cities, i was curious to see what Goa had to offer. We found Makeithappen online and after speaking with their coordinator regarding the people who would be conducting the walk, I was convinced that this would be a good experience since it was to be led by historians or experienced locals who were well versed with Goa's untold stories. The walk, as expected, was truly enriching. We got to see a side of Goa not many would know existed. It's rich history was neatly tied back to its many current traditions and customs. Our storyteller for the day did not tire of the many questions we had and the pace was not hurried at all. I would highly recommend this experience to everyone who would like to go off the beaten track and experience a different side of Goa.

Absolutely unmissable walk through the streets and churches of Old Goa, steeped in history and mystery, a great way to get an idea of the beginnings of the Portuguese conquest and the advance of Christianity. Amreen, our story teller is a local and has a deep knowledge of Goan history, she keeps everyone engaged and entertained. Top Marks all around.

Our tour Guide Amreen knew everything about the place! She gave a very detailed explanation about everything from the architecture to history. She is a great storyteller and was super patient with all the questions I was asking her. Got to know old Goa like never before. We were extremely late for the heritage walk, but the team at Make It Happen were patient and guided us really well.
Everyone at Make it happen is super warm and good at their work!

This old Goa tour with Make it Happen was my first guided tour in a tourist destination. Ever. I like to have my independence; to be able to wander off and feed my curiosity, to soak in the beauty of the place and observe and contemplate about its residents. But I have to admit, I loved every part of this one. Amreen, my host was charming (even though I reached extremely late), very well informed and… what’s the word I am looking for? Passionate. Yes. Adorably passionate about history. She’s eloquent about not just the sights we were visiting but also many other historical events we happened to randomly discuss. She also comes armed with a great sense of humour and a couple of dad jokes which makes the whole tour more memorable. About the sights? The lesser I talk about them, the better but yes, we visited some very interesting places with very interesting stories attached to them so you better quit your dawdling, click the necessary buttons, and book this tour. It’s totally worth it.

It was sultry Goan morning in April when I decided to go for an an elaborate old Goa walk with make it happen as a part of a 14 day walk festival Goa. And so so happy I did! Their story teller Amreen, a passionate chirpy and knowledgeable did a fantastic job tending to all our curiosities while showing us around the Beautiful heritage churches. MIT, I’m told has a signature feature in all their walks. Music. Was lovely listening to the girl with the violin and her choir singing!
Friendly yet professional, this was a great morning with the team and I only think first of my many with them!

I'm happy that I took up this walking tour with Mugdha. Even though I was the only one on the tour, there was never a dull moment between us; the whole 2 hours just flew by with pleasure.
Mugdha's storytelling was quite binding, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to explore Goa beyond booze, beaches and partying. She also gave some good suggestions for shopping. If I had more time, I would have taken up their other offbeat tours as well, but hopefully next time they'll be on my itinerary.
A small souvenir at the end of the tour from Make it Happen made my day!

We did it in our own. Being a Sunday morning the streets were not packed so we sauntered around this part of ancient Goa with its heritage buildings and quaint restaurants, and shops selling poreclain products. The Gallerie was closed. The facade of one house caught our attention made of a mosaic of coloured tiles, very eye catching. The staircase with the peacock had our attention. It's worth visiting this part of Goa and learn about the history and culture.

Our walk through the churches and streets of old Goa with ‘Make it happen’ storyteller Gauresh was truly an amazing experience! We learnt a lot about the history of the area through his engaging and quirky style of retelling history.
The tour was leisurely paced and with a small group that made it more personal. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience Goa with a local point of view :)
