Far away from the hustle and jostle of the party beats in Baga, Calangute and Anjuna beaches.. there lies the Island of Divar - sitting upon the river Mandovi , a must visit for those who appreciate the calm and serene. If you're looking for a getaway from the maddening city life, make sure to include the BLive Electric Bike Tour to explore this gorgeous island from the Portuguese colonial era.
If you're a cycling enthusiast, you'll surely have a super amusing escapade with this guided tour arranged by BLive in and around the Island.
Do not worry if you haven't been on an electric cycle before...as long as you know how to ride a normal bicycle..your host for the day from BLive will help you get comfortable on it and within five to seven minutes you're good to go .
My visit was on Diwali morning , 24th of October 2022 and my BLive host for the day was Ameez Baig . Right from the orientation at the beginning of the tour till sign off, he made sure that the guest is comfortable and is having a wonderful time.He showed me around the Island, through the vibrant old Portuguese colonial lanes, stopping by the alluring houses and churches to explain the architectural history of those places and the popular folklores of the village.
In between your tour, the host will take to a ravishing river side resort retreat to have a fulfilling breakfast after which you can continue with the rest of this immensely delightful journey.
I would recommend this to all my cycling enthusiast friends and family to include this in your itinerary for making some incredible Goa memories.
P.S my host Ameez made sure that the beautiful moments are captured perfectly for me to remember my time with BLive .. exploring Divar Island.

It was our first e-bike tour with BLive and a fabulous experience discovering the beautiful Diwar Island. The BLive team is very professional right from handling the tour booking and ensuring that the right equipments, instructions and safety precautions are in place prior and during the tour. Special mention to our tour Captain Umesh who did an excellent job to ensure this was not just any other bike tour but a trip down the history and diversity of Diwar island. Refreshments and halts at historical monuments at the island are part of a well curated itinerary. Also would like to thank BLive team for accommodating a change in schedule, they were very professional about it.
Overall I would recommend the BLive e-bike tour experience to anyone who like to explore Goa in a eco friendly way. Go for it!

We are a couple who feel the best way to experience a new place is to walk on it , find out history of the place & talk to locals. Just this time we did it on an E-Bike. Must say we have found our best way to experience the bike.
B-live team is awesome with Riyaz who ensured that everything was in order from calling us and ensuring that we had a captian with us. Captain is our guide who was this young guy, Asher , wow what a choice , he is so well researched on what he was showing us and thouroughly excited through the entire trail. Without him the trail would have been quite meaningless, he stopped not only at key places but ensured we completed the entire trip in time and with hidden facts which we werent aware of ! We loved the part of the trek where they actually took us for coffee , it was amazing 😍
We loved this beautifully curated tour through divar island on the bike. We were very lucky we even spotted a peacock on the trail. Best time as per us is the morning time during winters , weather is so so pleasant and so hospitable. We would love to tour again a differrent place with b-live team ,who ensure that that they aren't polluting the environment but making us enjoy it with a different angle..loved the tour. Thank you so much for this . ❤️❤️

The Blive electric bike experience was one of it's kind in Goa and was great fun. Goa is not just about beaches and raves.The e-bike tour of Divar island opened up a whole new side to our perception of Goa. Thanks to our Captains Swapnil and Suraj, we had the most memorable and pleasant experience riding the e- bikes across the countryside. The historical bites shared by Suraj at every stop point was so interesting and full marks to Swapnil for the amazing hospitality and the concern he showed towards the group members. It was a lovely experience for our group of 8 today and I would strongly recommend these tours when in Goa.

On a sunny afternoon, Shafi from BLive guided me and a family of 3 on an e-bike trip of Diwar Island.
The ebikes were great and easy to use - it was my first experience with one and I loved it!
We took a ferry to the island, and drove along beautiful marshland before an exciting steep uphill climb to a church on the highest part of the island. The downhill ride was thrilling too!
Shafi explained us the basic history of the island, the Chapel, stepwell/tank and fishing area we saw. The houses here were beautiful!
We were done in two hours and I was sad to leave the island after such a lovely time exploring it. We were provided some snacks and a bottle of water- in a backpack.
I liked it but for the premium price point I think a three hour tour (with us stopping by to admire more architecture) would have been more bang for the buck. I also wish the history of the places were explained in more detail.
Shafi was a nice person and a good guide. Overall a lovely experience, very unique!

Best part was the actual ride in pitch perfect location like this island. For a novice like me on an ebike was handled very patiently by all the tour guides. The information provided at each stop about it’s history fed into our knowledge bridging any gaps that were. Don’t mind if the duration was extended in future by another hour. A little more time spent riding would be preferable. Also, if there was an option of another time slot during the day besides 8am and3 pm will be helpful. If not, perhaps pushing the 8 am to 9 am would allow convenient travel for clients coming from distant locations.

Being a goan i had never been to diwar island and when i got the opportunity to do it on e-cycles with b:live i was really excited .i would suggest this tour to everyone be it tourist or goan .our captain Deepak who guided us thru this tour was professional and friendly and we took breaks at places where he would tell us about the area today and history of the place as well....he was well versed with the mesmerizing diwar island. We were given a small complementary bag with a bottle of water and a card with emergency numbers if we need them on the way....very professional .we were also equipped with safety helmets and were given a practice session with the cycles before we started.The b:live cycles were a dream to ride.
We visited the church on top the hill and then proceeded for a homely breakfast at a local beautiful homestay boutique hotel from where we went to check out the salt water dam,secret cave and historic temple pond excavated and now a protected site.
But what i loved the most was riding these beautiful cycles on the small quaint winding roads with cool wind in my hair and a smile on my face.i definitely felt one with nature amidst the fields on one side and mandovis tributeries and backwaters on the other.
I would recommend this tour by b:live to all and its very easy if u have ridden a cycle before as being on motor u dont have to put in too much of efforts cycling and can enjoy nature to the fullest with 2 very experienced guides in the front and the back of the cycling line taking care of you and getting you back safely from this wonderful experience.

I loved the experience specially the small little stories we got to hear about Divar. I think there is no better way to explore divar then on cycles and the Blive electric bikes powered us and gave us the boost and confidence to brave the divar slopes. .
Our guide was good and we would definitely recommend this tour to folks intrested in offbeat Goa experience s
Just a few things to consider for Blive is maybe to ensure the information available on the website is upto date. We found that the reporting times were different on trip advisor and Blive website.
Also the website claims breakfast at Devaya resort and instead we got a packed tiffin. (Tht should have been updated on the website)
I would recommend maybe breakfast at a small Goan local joint for authentic experience rather then the packed tiffin.
Our guide was good and we would definitely recommend this tour to folks intrested in offbeat Goa experience s

I was pleasantly surprised when my wife organised this experience for my friend and me. The trip started from their office/garage where the group is introduced to the guides and we were given a choice to choose between the three types of eBikes they provided. They then explain the mechanism of operation and battery conservation and also provide the safety gear (helmet) and a complimentary bag containing brochures and a water bottle.
From there we headed off to the ferry terminal, which took us across the river to Divar island. This island has the old Goa charm which is preserved well and there was hardly any traffic. The guide gave well spaced stops for rest and explanation about the culture, various customs and traditions of the location. We took the evening slot, so we could see the sunset view once we reaches the highest point of the island. On the way back to the ferry terminal there was high tea provided at a resort - Mercure Goa Devaaya retreat. By then it was a little dark, but no worries here thanks to the powerful headlights on these bikes. The entire experience was very good and good value for money. Will definitely try blive when we are at Goa next time and will try it out at other cities where it's available as well.
P.S.: will add pics of the ebikes later. Don't have them on my phone. Also I'm visiting Goa with my wife soon and will try the Chorao island trip this time.

A well spent morning in Goa; it was our first bike tour and we really enjoyed it. The coordination was smooth and hassle free. The tour guide and manager were friendly and easy to bond with. I was initially a little concerned as it was our first bike trip and we were going to cycle after a long time. But there was hardly any learning curve and the e-bikes were very light weight with optimum boost during pedaling. Infact we are considering buying these bikes. Dewar island is a serene beautiful place, seemingly untouched by tourists.The tar road is well maintained with no traffic, making the experience kids friendly. The guide told us interesting stories about each spot that we stopped at and the tour ended with a breakfast at a local's house. All in all highly recommend it if you are visiting Goa. The next time we visit we have planned to take their South Goa tour.

We are staying in Candolim later on this year and would like to do the Discovery of Divar Island how would we get to the bike location and would there be a charge, if so how much in sterling. it would be for my wife and I. Cheers

Namaskaram, the Divar island e bike tour appears quite an interesting one..
my son Anvay is 7 years old and a very good cycle rider for his age.. can he take this tour ?
My wife knows cycling but has ridden a cycle in last many years, so low on confidence, can she take this tour?

Hi,
I am not sure on the age restriction on the bike tour, however if one can ride a bicycle he can go on the trip.
The bikes are a hybrid of electric and a pedal bike, It can be driven as a moped , hence you don't have to worry about not driving a bike before, also there is 10-15 minute workshop on how to ride the bike at the beginning of the tour.
