we were on the last trip for the seson coming off the cruise ship NCL the boat is beautiful, crew attentive. It was cold and wet the morning of our trip. the view from the boat is nice and the captain had a few items to share about the coastal sites. Unfortunately we did not sail, the sails were hoisted, but we remained under moter control. there was plenty of wind that morning so I assume that is normal procedure for this tour. I really love the quiet of sailing and thought that was what we were going to experience. I was disappointed in that fact . It should be communicated in the tour information in the future.

This was the first time my husband and I had ever been on a schooner (Sail boat). We had an amazing time and took tons of pictures. The crew was very friendly and informative about the schooner and things that we saw. The crew made you really feel at home on the schooner and we "Thank them" very much for the incredible experience. We highly recommend the cruise.

I can’t recommend a sunset sailing trip high enough. The crew was extremely friendly, providing some history of famous sites along the way. They were funny and engaging and the complimentary koozy with drinks was also a pleasant surprise. It was a very windy and chilly evening and the crew even provided blankets. The views were spectacular. The sunset as we were almost at the dock, but the views were spectacular.

Although the weather was not great this was one of the highlights of our Newport visit. The sail gave a a true Newport feel. The crew was fantastic and provided us with much information. The tour was just long enough. It would have been much better if it were sunny and 20 degrees warmer. Kids should like this also. I don't thing this is a good option for those with disabilities or mobility problems. Regardless, we loved it and was a great first-time experience.

My sister and I took my mom to Newport to celebrate her 80th birthday and one of our daily adventures was a sail on the Madeleine Schooner. The captain and crew were so warm, welcoming, and funny and the sail was perfect. The schooner was beautiful and we could not have asked for nicer weather for a weekend in October. As I definitely plan to return to Newport (too much to see in 3 days!), I will absolutely be booking another excursion at Newport Classic Cruises. Such a memorable sail.

This was our first ever sailing experience and we absolutely loved it. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable and we especially loved Kat ( Cat?) and her witty sense of sarcasm. She and her crew mate were able to point out 4-5 different homes on the bay and give quite a bit of info about them. The sunset was the icing on the cake. 10/10 recommend.

We joined a cruise of about 30 people on Madeleine. The crew were really helpful and light hearted (but clearly competent sailors). We didn’t expect any commentary but they offered 3 or 4 witty explanations of sights and views. Well done to all

The crew was great. We thought it included mimosas. But you had to pay for that. We didn't read the fine print well enough.

If you're visiting the sailing capital of America, you need to take sailboat cruise in Newport. The evening we went the weather was perfect. The winds were just enough to allow to use only the sails. The young woman who was our captain was friendly and passionate about sailing. In fact, she was headed to the Mediterranean to work in a week ro so after our cruise. There are drinks for sale on the vessel and it's a totally chill way to relax after a day or visiting mansions or doing the Cliff Walk. Afterwards it's a perfect time to do dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants.

This was a lovely experience, especially if you have never been on a sail boat. The crew of young people was competent and delightful to talk with.

Matt Wes and Mark were great hosts and sailors. Very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. Weather was beautiful and of course the scenery was as well!

Such a fun experience! My friend and I were walking around and the wharf discussing how fun a sail would be--we looked up and saw the next boat was leaving in 15 min for a sunset sail. We immediately booked our tickets and got on--what a fun time! The crew was awesome, the serve champagne and beer (soft drinks and water too!) throughout the duration of the sail with some light narration of local historic spots. Super fun and would love to do it again.

Wonderful, relaxing boat trip. We felt very safe, the staff was very attentive, we were served soft drinks. The captain was very informative and entertaining explaining us all the sights we were passing by. Highly recommended!

Fun way to see Newport from the water. Captain and crew were very friendly and experienced! It was cloudy and chilly but they had blankets for everyone!

This is an excellent outing! Crew was so funny and enjoyable, with lots of great info about the area. Each trip is different depending on the wind, so where you go may change, but I don't think you could go wrong choosing this sailing opportunity!!
