- saltydog72170 contributionsSalt Lake City Highlights in a condensed timeframeThis tour covered most of the major highlights of Salt Lake City in 2 1/2 hours. Our guide (Mark) was informative, able to answer almost every question, and had a very pleasant demeanor. The bus was brand new and very comfortable. There was a good mix of windshield viewing and also plenty of stops to explore further. We parked in the City Center garage and walked through the mall area after the tour. Overall, I would highly recommended this tour for families of all ages.Written 12 October 2024
- thomasmR7008AS0 contributionsAn enjoyable ride. It's excellent. This was a very family friendly tour that was both informative and entertaining. I have to admit I was skeptical about the price, but in the end felt fully satisfied. This was fun, enjoyable, and engaging. It's probably the best was to be introduced to SLC. BRAVO.Written 10 October 2024

- loud1400 contributionsGreat way to see the sights! This tour was very informative. We made three great stops, so we felt like we got a good taste of Salt Lake City, especially since we just had one day. We loved hearing the organ recital at the Tabernacle!Written 9 October 2024
- aaguila140 contributionsGreat way to see Salt Lake CityThis was my first time in Salt Lake City and I had some time before the main event, a friend's wedding. It was a little chaotic to find parking but that was due to the General Conference of LDS. Our tour was great, the guide was knowledgeable and he and our driver were great at improvising because some locations were under construction and some were just inaccessible because of the General Conference. We got to see some great sights, make some stops for gorgeous panoramas at This is the Place Heritage Park (personal favorite) and see much of what the city has to offer.Written 8 October 2024
- Q9881NHjoanr0 contributionsGood tourWe had a nice tour even though a traffic jam kept us in one spot for twenty minutes. They were entertaining If u get cold in air conditioning, bring a sweater. The snack was a small bag of cracker jacks and a small bottle of coke or water.Written 7 October 2024

- T1307WLnancyc0 contributionsSLC city tourMark was an excellent tour guide with lots of historical and currentinformation on SLC. Unfortunately, there was a lot of construction and restoration going on in the city. We saw a lot of sites, but didn’t have much time at each of the stops. We were seated in the last row of the bus which is raised up and could not see much out the windows as Mark pointed out various landmarks. Very interesting to see/hear the organ rehearsal at the Tabernacle. The tour was a good way to get a quick overview of the city and give you the option to return to the areas you wish to explore more on your own.Written 7 October 2024

The bus is equipped with large windows for good viewing; however, air conditioning was not working properly. Information given by our guide was good. You stop at various places that are either closing or closed, so it’s just a short stop. We primarily did this because we wanted to see the choir. Apparently, getting into the choir practice is FREE. So, we paid $90+ a person to ride in a hot bus, go by places that are or were closing and dropped off at the side door to the tabernacle to stand in an extremely long line to see the choir that would have been free. If you’re in SLC, just know that seeing the choir on Thursday practice is no charge. I would not suggest taking this tour unless their price drops.

I want to start off by saying citysights was super accommodating and great when I missed the tour I originally booked. They let me rebook for the more expensive tour for the same price. However, I purposely didn’t book the more expensive tour because I had zero interest in seeing the tabernacle choir. After the choir I was hoping the tour would be slightly less Mormon related or at least would talk about Mormonism from a more objective perspective. Our tour guide, while very nice and friendly, spent most of the tour talking about Mormonism and his experience with the church which was obviously pretty biased. At the end of the tour he even had copies of the Book of Mormon for us to take. I understand that it’s impossible to talk about SLC without talking about Mormonism but the whole tour felt incredibly white washed and just left me feeling deeply uncomfortable, truly not sure if the issue is the tour or this city though.

Our driver and tour guide, Michael, was a terrific guide. Knowledgeable about
both historical events and timelines, as well as current happenings and local issues of importance, he kept up a steady stream of conversation that helped us understand Salt Lake City. We had 3 stops during the tour, the final one to watch the very impressive Tabernacle Choir rehearse. I highly recommend this tour (and Michael)!

Good tour. The itinerary was re-sequenced and not what I expected but worked out OK. The Tabernacle Chior was very Good, but in the very big performance center, was a little bit quiet. Still very good concert. The tour of civic and religious buildings in Salt Lake City was good and I learned a few thing. The tour guide was good and very friendly. All and all a good tour to get you started in Salt Lake City. Also the tour guide gives you insight into the Wasatch Corridor of Wasatch Front. This is the long metropolitan area that extends from about 60 miles mother of Salt Lake City to 60 miles south of Salt Lake City. This is where most of Utahs population lives. I think the Wasatch Front has the same microclimate. An interesting area.

Great trip and guide. Gave us some history we were wondering about since arriving in SLC. We were able to get out at alot of the stops and walk around. The stops where we had more than 15 minutes were Heritage Park, the Capitol building and the Mormon Conference Center where we listened to the Tabernacle Choir. This is a 3.5 hour tour ending with the Tabernacle Choir. There is alot of getting on/off bus as well as stairs at various stops. Bus was not a huge tour bus but think coach bus. Bathrooms at all of the long stops. Bring your own water and a snack if you need it.

An excellent way to see the city and learn about its rich history. Our driver/guide Grant Beaty was a wealth of knowledge about the history , geography and politics of Salt Lake City - I learned a lot and enjoyed the many stories that Grant had to offer. Seeing and hearing the choir really is a memorable event and some very inspiring downtime from a busy day. If you want to understand the people and places of Salt Lake I highly recommend this tour.

The choir performance was amazing and we could hear our guide on the bus well but it was a big group and we were unable to hear him at other sites. Unfortunately, we toured on a Sunday and didn’t realize so much would be closed. I suggest giving guides mikes for off the bus.

Thank you for touring with us! We're glad you found our microphone sound system on the bus to be great and appreciate your feedback about the use of portable microphones off of the bus. We do have them for our guides to carry off the bus but some are hesitant to use them sometimes, so we will remind our guides and encourage their use more.

Overpriced for seeing a free rehearsal of the Tabernacle Choir, Utah Capitol (free entry), a Catholic Cathedral (free entry), and a state park (free entry). $91 plus dollars plus they bully you into paying a large tip-so over $120 on an uncomfortable little van. Bright Spot-the tour guide was good.

This is a great way to learn some history of the city and the surrounding area. Our guide was knowledgable, patient and helpful with questions. We went on a Thursday so we were able to spend an hour at the Tabernacle Choir rehearsal which was very interesting and wonderful. The rehearsal is free but it was nice to have curb-side service with the tour bus.
I would definitely recommend this tour for a brief overview of the city and the history of the area.

I am confused about whether there is a stop for dinner on the Thursday evening tour. I see conflicting answers and want to plan accordingly. Is there, or is there not, a stop for dinner? Thank you!
Written 24 October 2022
No stop for dinner. That ended when the restaurant closed.
Written 24 October 2022
The Thursday tour doesn't start till 5. Is that a disadvantage for seeing any of the sights? We are going in mid October but won't be there for Sunday only the Thursday option so just curious if others feel it is worth it if you start that late in the day.
Written 4 August 2022
The tour is probably not the same as the Sunday one. We went to the capital building and out to the heritage center. It would be dark in Ictober so they may go to different sites.
Written 5 August 2022
What time does the Sunday morning concert finish?
Written 17 September 2019
Between 9:30 and 10:00. It lasts for one half hour.
Written 17 September 2019
We will be staying at the Hampton Inn Downtown. Do they pick up at that hotel? We are interested in the Sunday morning tour in late September. Thanks
Written 20 August 2019
When we took the tour, we picked up people at a downtown hotel but I don't remember which one. Check at the hotel front desk or with the concierge, or the tour company. Enjoy the tour.
Written 21 August 2019
How did tour participants dress for the tour that included the Sunday morning choir performance? I read on the LDS site that they requested "Sunday best" attire. I can't imagine that would be very comfortable during the rest of the tour, walking around in the heat of summer. Would capris, a light shirt or t-shirt, and sneakers or flip flops be out of the question?
Written 27 June 2019
Casual--touristy--shorts were okay
Written 17 September 2019
who do I contact to see about pick up at a different hotel?
Written 14 June 2019
We were staying at a campground up in Ogden when we took the tour. Use their email address and tell them where youâre staying. They will either arrange to pick you up there, or (what they did for us) give directions to the nearest pick-up location with free parking so you can join the tour. It was very simple. They were very gracious. The tour was phenomenal! Donât miss it!
