    Great overview of SLC
This is a great option for someone that doesn’t want to walk too much. SLC is kind of spread out and this tour allows you to travel great distances by the comfort of a bus while hearing interesting factoids about the city. Very enjoyable with a few stops to get out and stretch your legs.

A great way to see the city!
I thought this tour was a great way to see the city. I was in town for a conference and did not have a car to get around. I wanted to see parts of the city, and this was the best way to do it. The guide was so informative and did a great job narrating the tour. The stops were great (although I do wish we had more time at some of the stops) and overall I am so glad I took the tour!!

Good tour, disappointed with the organ cancellation.
Tour guide was great! Disappointed that we specifically choose the tour with the organ (concert) at the tabernacle and after purchasing tickets and getting into the van, we were told that they wouldn’t be playing the organ. Seems like that should’ve been conveyed when purchasing (or an invite back when they were playing since we paid for it).

    outstanding tour guide
This is a great way to see Salt Lake City and learn about the history, culture, and geography in a short time. Our tour guide, Grant (who was also our van driver), was one of the best I've ever had in many years of travel. He knows a lot about the area and presented the info in a friendly and entertaining way. The small group format is good, the stops were just the right length. From the 2002 Winter Olympics to Mormon history to what makes the Great Salt Lake salty, I felt like I really learned something about the area. Great job, Grant!

    Beautiful lake
The salt lake is beautiful. The water is blue, can see beautiful mountains surrounding it. There are some sea birds sitting on the beach and some flying. The beach is silver because of the salt and other minerals.

    Excellent in every way
The choir was worth the cost of the tour. However, our guide, Todd, provided MUCH more. Overall an EXCELLENT experience.

    Salt Lake City tour
Great tour of the city for first time visitors - lots of history and local facts. Todd, our guide was most informative and knowledgeable. My wife uses a wheel chair - tour bus was accessible and Todd was of great assistance. Tour was most enjoyable.

    Excellent Tour
Goodness, did we have a great time, your driver was very knowledgeable and funny. He had the bus laughing from start to finish. This was how we ended our convention work week in Utah. It was amazing. 👏

    Fun Tour
The Trolley Tour was fun. The tour guides were excellent. Funny and informative stories. Sometimes, things were hard to see as the windows weren't high.

    Great overview, fabulous music
Especially good if time is limited, the city tour touches on key sites with just the right amount of information. The rehearsal of the Mormon Tabernacle is a must see and even those not interested in that kind of music will be impressed.

    A mountain top experience.
We attended the concert on a Sunday morning and it was a mountain top experience for us. We enjoyed the rehearsal as well. The acoustics in the tabernacle are exceptional. We enjoyed learning about who is allowed to participate. I am a musician and have vocal experience too. We enjoyed the entire experience. Thank you for this opportunity. We only wish we could have videoed during the performance but understand why we could not.

    Couldn't see from our seats
Great story telling. But don't sit in the side facing seats. YOu really cant see anything out side of the trolley. It needs higher windows or an open second story.

Great Tour and Even Better Guide!
Our tour guide was fantastic! He was so informative, interesting and fun! He gave us so much history of Utah that we have decided to come back again so we can see more. Getting to see the Tabernacle Choir sing live in a radio broadcast was beautiful. The capitol was beautiful and reminded us of the capitol in Washington DC. It was absolutely gorgeous.

The tour itinerary was aggressive, but should have provided a good overview and history of the area. It was apparently too aggressive.
Items not seen or not discussed:
1. Gardens with 500,00 plants
2. Fountain with 294 jets rising 50 feet
3. White Memorial Chapel
4. Memory Grove
5. Pacific Union Depot
6. Trolley Square

We were given 15 minutes at the conference center to listen to the organ rehearsal and no mention of the rooftop gardens or observation levels. The organ playing was very impressive.

We were given 15 minutes to explore the Capital Building on our own - no points of interest were highlighted or history imparted while there. There was some history given on the way to the capital.

A lot of the history of Salt Lake City is related to the LDS (Mormons), but we felt the LDS history was emphasized with very little imparted about the non-LDS history. Our stop at the Pioneer Village was long for what was actually there and geared for the gift shop. (Thank you to the gift shop employees for their singing performance.)

Our tour guide, Jim, was very nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, it must very difficult to give a tour and drive in city traffic at same time, as he did both. Thank you, Jim, for pointing out the Family Search Library. We went there later in our trip and it was well worth the visit. Your insights about the Great Salt Lake was also useful in planning our activities.

Overall, the price was not worth it, especially after ticket price, tax and 20% tip to offset how little the tour guide is paid.

Overall it was good to see the sights and learn about the history of SLC. Our tour guide was very informative. It was good to see everything in one tour because SLC is a sprawling city, and it would be difficult to see everything on foot, and renting a car is too expensive, so I recommend this tour if you have a few free hours in SLC

Not being familiar with the city, we decided to book a guided tour. Our guide proved to be very knowledgeable and friendly. The bus was very comfortable. We saw the highlights of the city and were delighted with the running commentary. Some areas were closed due to Covid concerns, but our visit to the State Capitol Building was truly eye opening. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the sights of the city.

A good way to get an overview of Salt Lake city. We met at the Radisson and had a helpful commentary as we drove through city streets up past the winter Olympic stadium on to the heritage village. This was interesting and we had a short stop before driving back to the capitol building. We were lucky to see a meeting room and this tour covered main sites including the Catholic cathedral and its architecture and was an informative tour. Once completed you could consider whether to return to venues as its about 20 minutes in each but very well laid out. Our host was informative and explained a lot and also answered questions for our group. Would recommend

We highly recommend the Salt Lake City Guided Bus Tour aka ULTIMATE Salt Lake City Tour with Jim. Jim really made all the difference. He was very welcoming, knowledgeable, engaging, funny with all of his relevant jokes to the sights visited and historical people who made the sights and history of SLC unique. Jim is also a retired math and science teacher which his teaching repertoire showed. This tour was a highlight of our trip. Thank you Jim and City Sights. It's $10 cheaper booking directly at their website.

We had an excellent guide named Wynn (hopefully I spelled correctly) who was both knowledgeable and personable. The tour was a great overview of the city with history included. We stopped to listen to part of the organ recital at the conference center, did a brief tour of the Joseph Smith building and state capital. We drove by several areas that we made note of to go back and explore further. I recommend this tour as an ideal way to be introduced to SLC.

I rate the tour and tour guide a 5 out of 5. Sites we passed and visited were very interesting. The parking directions on the website, however, were terrible. 0 out of 5. I parked in a public lot right next to the Radisson hotel. It was a Saturday. the pay kiosk said parking was free. when I came back 2 1/2 hours later after the tour I had a $45 ticket from the city of Salt Lake City. the fine print said that the free parking was for two hours only. the directions on the website sent us to a location that had no parking. Just beware.

We are happy that you enjoyed the tour. We will certainly contact Viator again and ask them again to change their description of parking. Their description is not acceptable and we will correct this issue as soon as possible.

Todd, was very welcoming & left 15 min earlier since all 7 of us were accounted for. That gave us extra time for the attractions. Was partially snowing which made it pretty; 20 min holiday organ concert at the Tabernacle was a nice bonus.

We recently had the opportunity of visiting Salt Lake City the city is beautiful, friendly helpful people, mostly clean with great history and gorgeous views. Our only concerns are 1), we found the food in downtown area to be as expensive as any other major cities like New York or London 2) sadly we also encountered a number of people sleeping and living on outdoor spaces not to the extend of San Francisco or Los Angeles but noticeable enough to lessen our experience in some areas. We still felt safe and recommend a visit to such a beautiful city.

Definitely the way to see highlights of Salt Lake City. We were fortunate to have Wynn as our guide and driver. He obviously loves and is proud of his beautiful state. His knowledge and ability to share it made the tour so enjoyable. The impressive Capitol building can not adequately be captured in photos. It is breathtaking in its splendor and magnitude. The tour never felt rushed and Wynn personalized it in a way that was welcoming and inclusive.
