About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- TandMS7600 contributionsGreat way to spend an eveningLots of visuals along the way provided great insights into Church of the Latter Day Saints, albeit just scratching the surface. The choir was an unforgettably lifetime experience.Written 6 February 2025
- Passenger146194469730 contributionsHeavenlyAmazing experience. Church was half full so plenty of room to sit. This is what heaven will sound like. Two conductors with different styles. Large orchestra with brass alsoWritten 1 February 2025
- Y8941TTdanielo0 contributionsGreat tour of key sites with perfect timing to see the Tabernacle ChoirThe tour of key SLC sites with short walking visits to many of them (including bathroom breaks) was perfect for general orientation. We will go back and visit some again for longer. The Choir visit was really easy, and absolutely beautiful. We viewed a practice, took a break and then were the audience for a 30 minute broadcast of the 360-person choir with full orchestra. As awesome as you can imagine. Our guide, Matthew, provided an endless stream of interesting current and historical information about what we viewed, and was able to answer just about any question. This tour is a tremendous value, and starting early leaves the rest of the day for other activities. Overall a wholly excellent experience, and highly recommended.Written 20 January 2025
- GoPlaces061567828540 contributionsSLCMatthew was an amazing tour guide had so much information to share. We enjoyed seeing the sights of Salt Lake and better understanding where we can visit ourselves to learn more. The choir performance was unforgettable!!Written 20 January 2025

- kellis8240 contributionsGreat Tour and Stunning ConcertTaking a tour of your destination city is always a good idea since it gives you an overall picture of the landscape, industry, history, food, shopping, activities, etc. But this tour had an exceptional draw: the Tabernacle Choir performance. Matthew did an excellent job presenting a lot of information in a relatively short tour. He was clear, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dressed to impress. He was also right on the money when he said the concert would be a highlight of our stay in SLC. The concert is not available for all the city tours, but taking one with it is a high recommendation!Written 11 December 2024
- DONS400 contributionsOutstanding !!A most amazing concert !! Also, the BEST narrated bus tour we have ever been on. Guide and driver were both amazing. Do this !!!!Written 11 December 2024
- villagepantryotr0 contributionsSLC 101Very good tour with Matthew our most excellent tour guide! Learned so much about SLC, and was spiritually uplifted by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!Written 26 November 2024
- tommybG8106ZG0 contributionsGreat JobDespite the inability to see a few things because of snow and cloudy conditions, the tour was great. Our tour guides did a great job of explaining all that Salt Lake has to offer and gave many interesting tidbits that peaked more research after the tour. Recommend to do the tour early in your stay and plan the rest of your trip based on your interest. Also great for those like me who had only a few hours before an afternoon flight to catch a glimpse of the town for future visits.Written 18 November 2024
- Gina C0 contributionsAmazing guide, we visited so many places and ended up at the tabernacle watching the choir rehearse. Our guide was super sweet and knowledgeable. He took time to truly show us everything. The only downside about going when it gets dark is you can’t see some amazing views but our guide still took us all over and flashed high beams on statues so we could see.Written 15 November 2024
- adventurous330 contributionsHighly Recommend!Amazing trip! The tour guide provided delightful information about the Tabernacle choir and Salt Lake, while riding along in the bus or at each stop.Written 13 November 2024
- 716kimberlyu0 contributionsNice way to spend a held day in SLCThis was a nice overview of the Tabernacle Salt Lake City. Although the tour is by his, there is just enough walking to keeps things interesting. We also got some nice photos.Written 11 November 2024
- 215pams0 contributionsA little priceySeemed high priced when every stop had free admission and over an hour of the tour is with the tabernacle choir. Hard to see some attractions from the van if you are not seated by a window located on the side of the attraction.Written 10 November 2024
- T9460KYbrendab0 contributionsRecommended tour of Salt Lake City.great way to see the sites of the city. The Tabernacle Choir performance was spectacular. We did get to take many pictures of sites and scenery. Wonderful experience. Knowledgeable tour guide, named Matthew, so accommodating for participants with limited mobility.Written 8 November 2024
- 605JaneD0 contributionsWell worth it!Great experience seeing a variety of important city sights with and end at watching the Tabernacle Choir during rehearsal (which was amazing!) Tour guide was a lot of fun and even dressed in character There is a decent amount of walking and stairs Well, worth it and not too challenging, but definitely not for someone who has A lot of mobility problemsWritten 25 October 2024

This was a great quick trip around Salt Lake City. I was only in town for a day so it was a great way to hit the city highlights. If you are looking for a lot of time at each destination this is not for you, but if you want to get your bearings or scratch the surface of the city I highly recommend it. Mark was a great bus driver/tour guide.

The reviews were good and we decided to try it. We boarded a small bus with Mark as our guide. My friend and I were seated in the last row of the bus. As Mark began the tour we were having trouble hearing him and the air conditioning in the bus was loud! I was concerned the trip would be not that great as it seemed most of trip would be in the bus just watching out the windows and listening to his animated narrative. But Mark tweaked the AC and fans and it got better by the minute. We made several stops where we could get off the bus and really get a flavor of Salt Lake City! It turned out to be a delightful well worth few hours! I got some great photos and felt we got to really get the “feel” of the area. I recommend it highly! The Utah State Capital building is amazing!

We're thrilled that you found the tour delightful and were able to capture some great photos, especially of the impressive Utah State Capitol building. The tour itinerary was aggressive, but should have provided a good overview and history of the area. It was apparently too aggressive.
Items not seen or not discussed:
1. Gardens with 500,00 plants
2. Fountain with 294 jets rising 50 feet
3. White Memorial Chapel
4. Memory Grove
5. Pacific Union Depot
6. Trolley Square
We were given 15 minutes at the conference center to listen to the organ rehearsal and no mention of the rooftop gardens or observation levels. The organ playing was very impressive.
We were given 15 minutes to explore the Capital Building on our own - no points of interest were highlighted or history imparted while there. There was some history given on the way to the capital.
A lot of the history of Salt Lake City is related to the LDS (Mormons), but we felt the LDS history was emphasized with very little imparted about the non-LDS history. Our stop at the Pioneer Village was long for what was actually there and geared for the gift shop. (Thank you to the gift shop employees for their singing performance.)
Our tour guide, Jim, was very nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, it must very difficult to give a tour and drive in city traffic at same time, as he did both. Thank you, Jim, for pointing out the Family Search Library. We went there later in our trip and it was well worth the visit. Your insights about the Great Salt Lake was also useful in planning our activities.
Overall, the price was not worth it, especially after ticket price, tax and 20% tip to offset how little the tour guide is paid.

This was a great tour. Just right for a quick tour of Salt Lake City and a good price. Mark, our tour guide was outstanding- friendly, informative and helpful. Mark was knowledgeable about Utah and Salt Lake City history.
We toured several locations and were given time for a quick visit giving us a taste of the location so we could decide about visiting for a longer time later.
Bus was comfortable and cool and there were about 22 people on the tour- not too many.
Would definitely take another tour with this group and in fact recommended this tour to friends who went the next day.
They have a variety of tour options, so check them out.

This tour covered most of the major highlights of Salt Lake City in 2 1/2 hours. Our guide (Mark) was informative, able to answer almost every question, and had a very pleasant demeanor. The bus was brand new and very comfortable. There was a good mix of windshield viewing and also plenty of stops to explore further. We parked in the City Center garage and walked through the mall area after the tour.
Overall, I would highly recommended this tour for families of all ages.

We highly recommend the Salt Lake City Guided Bus Tour aka ULTIMATE Salt Lake City Tour with Jim. Jim really made all the difference. He was very welcoming, knowledgeable, engaging, funny with all of his relevant jokes to the sights visited and historical people who made the sights and history of SLC unique. Jim is also a retired math and science teacher which his teaching repertoire showed. This tour was a highlight of our trip. Thank you Jim and City Sights. It's $10 cheaper booking directly at their website.

We just finished our 10:00am city tour with Mark and it was wonderful. He has a wealth of knowledge of the city of Salt Lake City. So many things to see, and do in Salt Lake City that trying to do it in one day is not enough time He recommended the red rocks brewery for their beers and food. The food here is fantastic and the beer is great at reasonable prices. I highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our bus tour around the city. We had enough time to take pictures and get a good lay of the land to determine if we should go back to any place to do a more in-depth tour. Our guide and bus driver were ver friendly. Our guide really knew his history and was able to make comments about many structures in salt lake. We I recommend it with teen probably not but we didn’t want to walk around in the 100 F heat. Overall great tour.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad you enjoyed the bus tour and found it helpful in getting a good overview of Salt Lake City. It’s great to hear that the guide’s knowledge of the city’s history and landmarks added to your experience. In that 100°F heat, the comfort of the bus definitely sounds like the right choice! We appreciate your feedback and are happy you found the tour worthwhile.

If it is your First Time to SLC, definitely highly recommend this Guided Bus Tour on your first full day; they fetched us from the front of our hotel and offered to bring us back about 2 1/2 hours later. Since we did the 10 AM tour, we opted to stay around where the last stop was and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon in mid city. The tour was extremely informative, it gave us a directional bearing on the city, gave us some history of how the city has evolved, a little religious background on LDS and evolution to the current day.

On TripAdvisor the description is out of date and does not match the itinerary posted so I want to confirm if this tour (10am & 2pm) includes "live recital at the renowned Mormon Tabernacle". I read in the reviews that the description is incorrect about allowing time to have lunch at the Lion House. Thank you

10 tour for us no time for lunch at Lion’s House. 30 minute concert.

Is this a hop on hop off bus? If so, how often do the buses come to the stops?
Written 17 July 2022
No this was not a hop on-hop off tour, however before we returned to the hotel pick up site, the driver parked and we were given the option to hop off and go to the mall across the street and walk back to our our car; approx 2-3 blocks away. It was so hot we chose to return to the hotel.

I know it says wheelchair accessible, but wondering if it you can wheel in and out of the bus. Also are most of the stops wheelchair accessible?

I am sure that this company can accommodate your needs. No one on our tour needed that availability.

Hi,
Do you have a city tour that starts at 5pm on 4 June Sat? I touch down at SLC airport at 2 pm on 4 June.
I am not interested in the haunted tour - don't like stories of dead people and spirits.
I depart early on 5 June.
Thank you.
