        Above and beyond!
We took two hikes, one with Elliott and one with Sophia. They were both amazing! They guided us through the hikes with great storytelling and education for the kids. They went above and beyond to make sure that each one of us enjoyed every part of the day. The hikes were the best part of our trip to Seattle!

        Fantastic hike and fantastic guide!
Loved this tour with Sophia! She is an amazing guide and took great care of us. She supplied light breakfast, snacks, lunch, drinks, sunscreen, backpacks, and trekking poles. The 6 mile hike is definitely moderate but we loved the challenge. The views of the falls are stunning. So beautiful! Highly recommend this adventure and this tour company!

        Magnificent day
Before the trip I communicated with Sophia, she was very kind and helpful and very responsive. She got me really excited for the trip. The guide, Kevin, was very friendly and knowledgeable . I felt very comfortable and learned a lot! I really liked the gondola, the hike, lunch and snacks. The views were incredible, we saw lakes, water fall, a lot of greens and trees. The guide was so kind to make detours to show me more of the area whether around the Crystal mountain or on the road leading to/from it. I had great time and I will definitely do another one of their trips once I come back with family and/or friends. Kevin also gave me some tips on things to do and places to go around Seattle which all I did the next days and enjoyed my time. I took this trip as a getaway and a break from stress. It totally worked!

        Wallace Falls Hike
Had an awesome time hiking with Sophia in Wallace Falls just outside of Seattle! I didn’t have to to do anything- Sophia picked me up from my hotel and she planned the rest.

        Mount Rainier Hike
My wife and I booked a private tour, and we couldn't be happier with our tour. All details were easily arranged by email always prompt replied by Sophia. The tour was well organized and everything worked as plan. Our guide Ben was very good and patient since we stopped quite a lot for taking pictures, it was a stunting day! We had an awesome experience during this trip. Highly recommended

The hike and meteor shower view were amazing!
The guides thought of everything on this trip (food, water, good communication with each other...) and the trip ran very smoothly. When the weather on one night was not good for meteor shower watching, we were given the choice to do the hike on another night, chose that night instead (everyone in the group chose it because who wants to see a bunch of clouds and/or rain?) and it worked-out perfectly! It was a clear night and we saw multiple falling stars. If you are thinking of going on this trip, do not hesitate on buying the tickets. There is a reason why it sells-out every year (it's kind of one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences).

        Amazing hike, amazing staff!!!
We moved to Seattle area about 7 months ago and we try to do something every weekend, whether it is a hike or museum or fair or an event in the city. We read about Adventures in Seattle on FB and that they were going to have a hike to Summit Lake to watch the Perseid meteor showers overlooking Mt. Rainier. We booked last minute and we were so happy we did!!! Sophia, Ethan and Kevin were amazing!!! We arrived at the meeting point and Sophia introduced herself and the team, we waited for the rest of the group and drove to the trailhead where they offered snacks, fruit and water. We started the hike and they made sure everyone was safe and made it to the top. Once at the top, they offered us drinks and cooked popcorn for everyone. It was an amazing spot for stargazing, we did manage to see meteors and had lots of laughs spotting UFO's (which turned out to be planes or satellites). On the way back down, once again they made sure everyone was safe. It was an amazing experience and definitely recommend Adventures in Seattle!

Half day hike for solo traveler
This was the perfect half-day trip from Seattle for anyone who's traveling alone and/or new to hiking. I wanted to try a hike, but I didn't want to hike alone, didn't know where to go, and didn't know how to get there (staying in Seattle without a car). Sophia took care of all the details, so I could just have fun and enjoy the beautiful scenery-- she picked me up from my Airbnb, packed lunch and snacks for the trip, and dropped me off again afterwards. Sophia was also great company. I felt at ease right away, and we chatted the whole morning! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to try a hike but isn't sure how to get started alone. (I'm guessing she's a great choice for more experienced hikers, too.)

        Awesome hike, awesome guide
My husband and I visited Seattle for the second time in March, and did a hike up Wallace Falls with Sophia. Holy hell, this was incredible! It was a 9 mile round trip, and we saw some insane scenes, wow! It wasn't Mt Rainier like we were hoping (high avalanche risk), but we had no idea how beautiful this state was. It was a great variety of scenery and some breath taking falls. It's convinced us to visit Seattle again very soon to do more hiking. Sophia was a brilliant guide, super chatty and a very open person with lots of outdoors experience. She picked us up from our AirBnb in Capitol Hill and dropped us off, which was amazing for us not being from the US, did not particularly want to drive on the opposite side of the road! She had coffee and food and snacks all ready to go for us, and it was good coffee on the go. She was so patient with us and our stop-starting. We had trouble with the elevation, but she waited and gave us breaks and went slowly. When she picked us up, she chatted like we were old friends. It was just such a great experience, and I can't fault the service she's provided. Definitely going to look her up again once we're back there in the summer for an overnight hike!

        Midwest girls on a mountain
Sophia was super prepared and organized for our hiking trip! She was available for questions prior to our hike and was even game for taking us on the Colchuck Lake hike in Leavenworth which wasn't listed on her website. (I had done a hike there a year prior and wanted to do another one in the area) We didn't need to bring anything other than ourselves and she picked us up from our hotel! She had made lunch for us, had plenty of water and snacks, and provided us with backpacks and hiking sticks. She was a fun roadtrip and hiking buddy for the duration of the trip and endured my many questions! She even dropped us off at the airport for our flight home after our hike! Sophia was such a positive, upbeat person. We had an awesome experience and her services were a great way to enjoy a hiking trip to the mountains stress free. Highly recommend her and her trips!!

Superb motorcycle adventure! No regrets :)
Wonderfully planned and beautifully executed motorcycle tour through several National parks in the US and Canada. A support truck came along so that we could enjoy the ride without worrying about carrying extra stuff, and a trailer was available to haul our bikes if that was needed. Spectacular views, great route, excellent food prepared by the host; usually people don't eat as healthy on a trip, but in this case I ate better than I do at home! Traveled through amazing places I didn't know existed, and would have likely never discovered on my own. This supported tour was well worth it! Would love to do it again and highly recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys nature, adventure and the company of great people.

Motorcycle ride to Mt Ranier National Park.
I really enjoyed this ride. The bike was fine, but the company and the surrounding really made it! The communication was perfect, the pickup and drop off went without a hitch, the snacks and lunch were fantastic. I’d do it again.

Day hike to Goldmyer Hot Springs
Sophia is a wonderful guide. The first thing she did when she picked me up was offer hot tea :) She had energy boosting snacks for the hike which made a big difference for me (all the things I didn't think to have she did). She had all the extra gear needed and navigated through the snow with ease. She had great stories and jokes. When my "all weather" gloves were damp and cold, she gave me hers to use on the hike back. When my hat got wet she had an extra buff to cover up my wet hair. This is an excellent hike to do if you are interested in pristine backcountry scenery with the reward of a hot spring soak in a cave. The sound of waterfalls and moving river were soothing throughout the 6 mile one way hike. The mountain vistas and abundant trees made the trip unforgettable. Recommended!!!

Wow! You are going to love this hike with “Adventures In Seattle”! Both Sophia and Kevin are cool people who make you feel welcome and appreciated. Sophia was very accommodating and well organized in helping me understand what to expect. Kevin took me on the hike to Mount Rainier National Park, and it was like a non-stop conversation from pick-up to drop-off. Kevin is so down to earth, knowledgeable, and has so many interesting stories from his experiences outdoors. The hike itself captures the beauty of the National Park and Mount Rainier and it is timed and organized perfectly. Kevin is very knowledgeable of the Park itself, but he also gave pointers on the skill and technique of hiking, which is a takeaway I can use when hiking in other areas. The hike itself was, in my opinion, a notch above “moderate” in skill level. When we completed the hike, I feel like I accomplished something and felt good about myself. I highly recommend this hike (or anything else from “Adventures In Seattle”) and look forward to another adventure with them during my next visit to Seattle!

I was looking for a guided hike that would take care of all logistics and was stoked to have found Adventures in Seattle! I used Sophia's services for a guided hike in Mt. Rainier and I couldn't have been happier with the experience!

Sophia was wonderful throughout the entire process. Prior to booking she was incredibly kind & responsive and after booking she was very communicative in confirming the details we'd need to know regarding weather, pickup, etc. Finally, during the actual hike itself, she continuously made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the hike and worked to ensure everyone's safety.

It was a memorable experience and would 100% recommend booking with her! Also, she keeps groups small, which was an added bonus!

I was very fortunate, in many capacities, to have Sophia as a guide for a three person tour to The Three Burroughs in an attempt to see the best views of Mt. Rainier.

The guide experience with Sophia was more like traveling with a highly experienced friend rather than an overly sanitized, corporate excursion. I mean this is the best possible way — Adventures in Seattle offered wonderful personal services like pick-up from any Seattle lodging, food recommendations for the included lunch, backpacks in case we didn't want ours to get wet, and hiking poles for the day, all of which were a part of the trip cost and are not very common.

The weather did not cooperate for us. What should have been a cloudy day with decent rain on the mountains rapidly became gale-force winds pelting us with painful sleet as we reached higher elevations. Sophia was willing to push when I said I wanted to keep going, and we did, until our waterproof hiking boots and pants were soaked through and it became clear to her we were reaching dangerous territory. And so, we turned back. Had I been alone I don't think I would have — this would have been to my detriment. It wasn't until we were in safer parts of the hike that I realized how bad it really was. This is why a guide is important for inexperienced mountain hikers, and we were lucky to have Sophia there. Hubris on a mountain is not an asset.

And still! Still! This was an incredibly fun hike. We got to see Mt. Rainier's glaciers, some gorgeous lakes and wildflowers, accompanied by unparalleled views and a perfect amount of history and general knowledge shared by Sophia. I will recommend Adventures in Seattle to anyone and everyone coming out to Washington.

Sophia led the hike up the Burroughs trail and it was incredible. I went solo and she worked me into a small group of three others and let me just say, we had a Blast!! She provided transportation to and from the trail which makes it really convenient if you do not have a rental car. She made sure everyone was properly prepared for the day, managed the pace of hike, provided great snacks, and a hearty lunch. It was just so well organized. Mt Rainier was shining that day which made the trip even more special. We also saw mountain goats, marmots, pikas, even a sow and cub. The park is just so beautiful and Sophia made sure we had a great experience. This was absolutely the highlight of my trip. I highly recommend "Adventures in Seattle"!! I will be booking another adventure with Sophia when I get back to the area!

Absolutely wonderful group of people to do this with! So unbelievably happy I came across them when I was planning our trip. Great communication throughout the entire process. Our guide, Josh, was very personable and knowledgeable. I loved all the information - historical, geological, and biological - that he provided during the trip from the time he picked us up. (Because if you're like me, curious minds want to know.)
We did the Burroughs trail. The hike is amazing, with breathtaking views of Mount Rainier. The sun and heat that day made the hike more challenging for me, as my body doesn't deal well with either, but Josh was patient and I was never made to feel like a burden. And the challenge made the reward all that more amazing.
The stop for ice cream after was the perfect finishing touch! (If you need an extra energy boost after the hike, the ice cream store also makes a tasty NA red bull spritzer.)
As someone who travels a lot, it's not often you find a business where your experience is flawless from start to finish. Thanks for making one of my bucket list ✔️ one of my all-time favorite hikes!

I have done 2 hikes with this group and both provided beautiful views! The first hike was Mount Rainier Three Burroughs. I would recommend this hike to those who are in good physical condition as it was a bit rough. I consider myself to be in average/above average condition but I live at sea level and at that elevation it was more difficult for me to breathe and I needed to make frequent stops on the inclines (which our guides were great about stopping and making sure we were comfortable). While I wasn't sore after this, if you aren't used to hiking, be prepared for a bit of soreness. With all of that being said, the views are just gorgeous so it makes it totally worth it!! You can see so much on a clear day!!!

The 2nd hike was called Talapus Lake. This was an easy ~4 mi round-trip hike. The lake is crystal clear and is great for swimming and fishing or just relaxing. We stopped at the first lake but you can extend your journey by hiking to the next lake, just ask your knowledgeable hostess, Sophia to take you there.

I can not say enough good things about Sophia. She is very knowledgeable about the area and about hiking. She will go out of her way to make sure that your experience is everything you hoped it to be and more.
