Overview
Experience the beauty of the great outdoors in the Pacific Northwest on this all-day, guided,small-group tour of Olympic National Park. From beaches and mountains to forests and farms, explore this spectacular wilderness park on a series of nature walks with a naturalist guide. Ride along in a luxury van or SUV, then stroll through the country’s oldest forests or along beaches with a breathtaking view of the Olympic Mountains. A light breakfast and gourmet picnic lunch, plus hotel pickup and drop-off, are included on this tour.
What to Expect
After being picked up at your hotel in downtown Seattle, climb into a luxury vehicle and begin the approximately 2-hour journey to Olympic National Park.

The park features snow-covered mountains, rain forests and the majestic Pacific coastline. There are remote beaches, plus the country’s oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the greatest wilderness left in the United States, including sixteen species of plants and animals that evolved here — and nowhere else. Enjoy short, interpretive nature walks throughout the day. If there is enough snow for snowshoeing, the guide will bring all the necessary equipment.

Learn forest ecology and the geology of the stunning Olympic Mountains. Weather permitting, drive up to Hurricane Ridge for incredible mountain views and spot wildlife and waterfalls along the scenic routes. Visit the pristine waters of stunning Lake Crescent in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains. This lake was carved by glaciers, so it’s an ideal spot for those in search of natural beauty. On days when weather closes access to Hurricane Ridge we may visit the sandy coastline of the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge or spend more time among the forests and waterfalls of the Elwha Valley.

At midday, a gourmet picnic will be provided. Please see the Itinerary section for menu information.
Itinerary
Gourmet Picnic Lunch:
  • Organic and locally-sourced
  • Includes a meat (such as grilled salmon or chicken), a grain salad (such as quinoa with roasted vegetables) and a green salad. Sometimes sandwiches or wraps as served in lieu of the meat dish. Vegetarian option available.
  • Local wine, Pellegrino water and sodas are included.

I almost didn't take this trip, but I'm so glad I did. Visiting the pacific northwest in late November, I heard that the weather could potentially be unkind. Even with some rain in the forecast I decided to go for it, and it could not...More

My husband and I took this day trip to the park, led by Claire. She was great at explaining the history of the park and providing opportunities to see special aspects of the park. Our favorite was the time spent at Crescent Lake, a historic...More

Think I got back to my hotel between 8-8:30 pm, depends a bit on ferry and/or traffic which will vary day to day. Sorry don’t know about wheelchairs, but phone them up they are very friendly!
