Overview
Set sail for a 3-hour cruise to Captain Cook’s Monument for dinner, as a local historian shares stories and legends of the sites you will see along the way. First cocktail is on the house! Listen in to live Hawaiian music and enjoy a magnificent sunset as you sail back to Kona. Don’t forget your camera and keep an eye out for dolphins and seasonal whales.
Highlights
  • Relaxing cruise to Kealakekua Bay, reachable only by boat or hiking
  • Sample traditional cuisine at the Hawaiian buffet with one included cocktail
  • Take in the views and watch entertainment from local performers
  • Learn about the history of the region from a local historian
What to Expect
Your cruise begins at the Kailua Pier where you board the boat for a 12-mile journey down the Kona coastline. Sit back and relax as a local historian shares stories about the landmarks you pass on the way to the Captain Cook Monument. Upon arrival, enjoy a cocktail from the fully stocked bar and an island-style buffet. A typical buffet includes vegetable crudites, assorted cheeses, Lomi Ahi tuna, dips, and pita chips. For entrees enjoy kalua pork and cabbage, ginger shoyu braised beef, pineapple-glazed chicken, veggie rice pilaf, and assorted salads. Make sure to save room for dessert and Kona coffee. Additional cocktails are available for purchase. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available upon request. Keep an eye out for dolphins, turtles, manta rays, and seasonal humpback whales. Take in the sites of Ahu'ena Heiau, Keauhou Holua Slide, and Kuamo’o Battlefield as you sail back to the pier.

What a fabulous dinner cruise. The food was amazing! The staff was funny and friendly! The entertainment and music, was awesome! But we hit the trifecta... a whale breaching 3 times🐳, manta-ray saying "hello"👋 and dolphins spining out of control🦈. Man this was the best

Aloha Sarah, We heard all about this very special dinner cruise up here at our retail office and we are all super excited. When we see the first whale of the season, we know we are heading into our busiest time of year! For those reading this, whale season begins around December 15th, and ends right around the first week of April. Needless to say, when the ocean life shows up, it really creates a magical experience for everyone, even the crew. Thanks so much for telling the world about this experience! Mahalo, Chris Grossi @ Body Glove Ocean Adventures

This was our one opportunity to get out on the water and take a look back at the Island. The boat was clean and comfortable and plenty spacious. Lot's of places to sit with a good view for the trip. The staff was accommodating and efficient, but not overly friendly or

Aloha CooperSix, Thank you so much for joining us on our Historical Sunset Dinner Cruise to Kealakekua Bay. We are glad you decided on Body Glove, and we appreciate this feedback. One of the challenges of running a cruise like ours is figuring out who needs a little extra attention to feel at home. Sorry we missed your cues there! So happy you particularly enjoyed the musician, and we are honored at your recommendation. Also, sometimes when we get a four-star review we are left wondering how we could have gotten that fifth star from our guest. We really do appreciate you filling in the blanks there. It gives us something to work with as we make choices about how to improve our guests' experiences in the future. Mahalo, Chris Grossi @ Body Glove Ocean Adventures

Aloha Ambassador, Thanks so much for saying so! I think we are much more of an adventure compared to a luau, though both are must-dos here in Hawaii! We would love to know more about how to blow you away. If you'd to tell us how we could have gotten that fifth star from you, please email reservations@bodyglovehawaii.com. We want to know what would have made the food great, and the music terrific. Thanks again! We appreciate your business and feedback. Mahalo, Chris Grossi @ Body Glove Ocean Adventures

Aloha GypsyKat8, Thank you so much for your feedback! Captain Bob runs a tight ship and they go above and beyond to make sure that everyone has a great time aboard the ship. And Jasmine does make a mean cocktail. We hope to see you out in the boat with us again! Mahalo, Chris Grossi @ Body Glove Adventures
