Lava & Rainforests Helicopter Adventure from Hilo

Select Date and Travellers
US$ 274.00
2 travellers
You will fly over Kīlauea, the most active volcano on earth.  However, the windward side also catches enough rain to make Hilo the wettest city in the United States. All this water fills tunnels that once flowed with lava, creating incredible rivers, pools and waterfalls all over East Hawai’i. Hilo’s lush rain forests, Mauna Loa’s vistas and the plunging Wai‘ānuenue (Rainbow Falls), so named for the rainbows you can see in the mist when the early morning sunshine hits the water.
For a guaranteed window seat, make sure to upgrade to the preferred seating option.
  • Take a scenic helicopter flight over the Big Island from Hilo
  • Fly over Kilauea, the Wailuku River, and the wettest city in the U.S.
  • Upgrade your tour to guarantee a window seat for the best views
  • Multiple departure times are available to suit your schedule
What to Expect
Make your own way to the airport in Hilo at least 45 minutes before your chosen departure time. Meet your FAA-certified captain-guide, climb into your 4-passenger helicopter, and get fitted for your 2-way radio headset. For those who want to see all the action, upgrade your tour to a guaranteed window seat in the helicopter.
After takeoff, admire the lush scenery of the Big Island and fly over waterfalls and volcanoes, including the famous Kilauea. Listen to engaging commentary from your captain through the 2-way radio and feel free to ask any questions.
Your tour concludes back at Hilo Airport.

This company can meet all your flight needs; shirts, glasses, videos. Hilo airport is easy to find and park. Sit in front if possible, as viewing from the back seats are side views only. Very pleasant, would do again.

We took an afternoon ride to see the lava flow and had a wonderful time. The helicopter is very comfortable and has large windows so you can see everything even if you are in the center seat. The pilot was great as well.
