About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Vancouver020 contributionsA beautiful example of Mother Nature! We had a wonderful excursion to Upper Antelope Canyon! Unfortunately, Nate, our tour guide, was not very informative about the canyon unless asked but did take the time to show us good angles for photos, took several photos of the different couples (4 couples) and knew where to get the best lighting etc. Our photos have created a beautiful memory for us. We had hoped for more info about the Navajo culture especially how it relates to the canyons and the area in general and a couple of personal comments to create a personal connection to his group. He didn’t even introduce himself until someone asked him his name. When we got to the canyon entrance he said “there it is.” We were not sure what we were looking at. We could not tell it opened up inside. We had no context. No introductory comments. Very confusing arrival. But all in all still enjoyable. Nate needs a bit of training on how to inform and engage.Written 25 January 2025

- 61graceu0 contributionsso so worth it!!!this was so amazing!! absolutely gorgeous, a little chilly in december but the views are so worth it!! Nate Photo was an amazing guide, he helped us get great photos and told us all about the canyons!Written 16 December 2024
- Arios200 contributionsBad experienceThe tour begins 30 minutes earlier than the time indicated on the ticket. The company should update the ticket to reflect the correct start time.Written 2 December 2024
- TEBroglio0 contributionsBest Antelope canyon area tourAwesome tour. Roman - our guide - did an amazing job. He was friendly and knowledgeable about not only the canyons but also Navajo history. He even took us to 2 extra canyons. Would surely do again and recommend to my friends.Written 2 December 2024
- yozakik0 contributionsGreat canyons, tour guide not so muchThe canyons themselves were amazing but the tour guide was not the best. I could understand it was hard to talk about Upper Antelope Canyon when the canyon was so crowded during the Thanksgiving weekend, but he also didn't introduce other canyons when there were no other groups around. It was nice that he helped take nice pictures and showed us some extra small canyons other than Upper Antelope and Rattlesnake, but I wished to learn more about canyons and the land instead of only seeing them. Most of time the tour guide looked like he didn't even want to be there even though it was his job to be the guide. I understand it was their land and we were visitors, but he could have been more patient and polite. I felt like I paid $200+ for a driver/photographer and nothing more. I am sure this company has other tour guides that are great, but just be aware that you may be unlucky like us.Written 2 December 2024
- 365bethj0 contributionsWe would do this tour again in a heartbeat!Nathaniel was an excellent tour guide! He was professional, friendly and so informative - everything from the geology and histories of the canyons, to the animals and wildlife in the area, to the best foods and eateries in the area, to the cultural significances of the canyons and the area. He knew every perfect spot for photos and how to optimize the photos on our iPhones. He took amazing photos of my husband and I with perfect placement and lighting. Thank you Nathaniel for making our visit to Rattlesnake and Upper Antelope Canyons such a memorable and wonderful experience! We highly recommend this tour!Written 24 November 2024

- Alexandria Z0 contributionsAmazing experience!!This was such an amazing experience! Our guide was so helpful and so knowledgeable about the canyons. He is a professional photographer, so he even told us where to take the picture and what setting it needed to be to get the perfect shot. This was also the only tour group I found that offered to show you other canyons near the upper antelope canyon, so that was really nice. I would highly recommend going to this group for the canyon tours.Written 7 November 2024

- millsli0 contributionsGreat, Small Group, Would go back! Owl, Rattlesnake, and Upper Antelope CanyonsOur tour to these three canyons was great! Art was our guide. There were only 2 of us and Art when we went to Owl canyon. Art showed us how to use the filters in our cameras to get the best lighting. For the remainder of our tour we had 4 people total. I really appreciated the small group and all the assistance in getting just the right picture. I would recommend this tour to everyone!Written 4 November 2024
- Culture119662387150 contributionsAmazing place and guide. Highly recommend.Had a wonderful experience with Irene as our guide. She was highly knowledgeable in the area and also how to help everyone in our group achieve perfect photos regardless if it was an iphone, a Google pixel, or a DSLR. Antelope canyon is a magical place made even better with Irene! Would highly recommend this tour and doing at least two canyons.Written 2 November 2024
- 983robind0 contributionsMagical experienceThis tour was absolutely amazing. Got to see more than the Upper Antelope Canyon. All the canyons are just as beautiful. Each one is unique and a must see. Though the Rattlesnake Canyon may be more challenging for some, especially for those who are scared of heights, as you will be going up and down ladders. There were a lot of parts where you are going through tight spaces, similar to a maze, which may be claustrophobic for some. Not terrible though. Going through the canyons felt so magical, as if you are in another planet. Felt a sense of peace and gratitude for having been so fortunate to have experienced such beauty. The icing on the cake is our tour guide Nathaniel. He is very knowledgeable. He is a sweet and gentle soul, he made our experience extra special. He let us take our time taking pictures, as well as help us take them. He is a talented photographer himself so it was a privilege for him to take our pictures. I highly recommend this tour, and this company. If it was possible to request a tour guide, I would request Nathaniel. I would definitely do this tour again.Written 2 November 2024
- Travelbok3450 contributionsAmazing experience with a brilliant guide! We got a private tour with Connie and she took us to all three canyons and ‘bonus canyon’. The Canyons are amazing and Connie gave us so much information about the geology and history of the slot canyons. She also shared a lot of interesting information about the Navajo Nation. Connie also showed us a lot of camera tricks - she’s a pro! The Canyons are amazing and exactly how they look in the pictures. This was a real highlight of our trip! Highly recommended!Written 1 November 2024

Last week we visited the most amazing part of the Canyons. Nathaniel was our tour guide for Upper Antelope Canyon Tour. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. He was also a professional photographer & took pictures for each family by adjusting the settings on our mobiles for the perfect picture in the canyons. Those pictures are totally amazing.
Adventurous Antelope Canyon Tours are very organised and have air conditioned SUV’s which are used from their meeting place to the entrance of the Upper Canyon. I did see other tour operators with open vehicles which are not suitable in September with high temperatures resulting in heat and dust. The drive is around 15 minutes to the Canyon. We had booked a few months in advance as the prime tour 11.05am does get sold out fairly quickly. It’s totally worth booking for this time of the day due to the lighting effects of the sun in the canyon. Make sure you are on mountain time so your timings doesn’t get messed up on arrival for the tour.
I would highly recommend Adventurous Antelope Canyon Tours and ask for Nathaniel as he in my opinion was the best tour guide.

OMG, what an adventure! We had an amazing time visiting Upper Antelope Canyon. The intricacies of Mother Nature art are breathtaking! The play of sun rays and sand particles dancing in the air are magnificent!
Our guide, Connie was the BEST! She told us about the canyon as well as some stories of her ancestors that have been living in this area for 600 years. She pointed out "the sculptures" created by water and wind.
And of course, pictures! We took some great shots!
We didn't feel rushed, took our time looking around, while keeping the pace.
I'd strongly recommend booking the tour in advance and, if possible, going on the 11 am tour, as the light in the canyon is the best at that time.
Solid 5 stars experience!
Thank you again, Connie!

We had an amazing time! Please note there’s a time zone change of an hour ahead between Sedona/Flagstaff & Page, which Adventures does remind customers in the itinerary. Our tour guide for the 1pm tour was Josh; he was jovial, friendly and informative, talked about the landscape, Navajo culture & history, and geology when explaining how the caverns were formed. He kindly borrowed my iPhone to take some amazing shots inside the canyon and family photos. This tour group uses mini buses & SUVs to ferry visitors to the caverns. Wear study shoes or sneakers, there’s a lot of fine sand while walking. If you don’t wear glasses I’d recommend goggles, there can be some fine sand that can drift down as you’re looking up to take photos. This experience was well worth the ticket price.

I visited both the upper and lower Antelope canyon tour and would NOT recommend the upper canyon tour at all. I know it's the more popular one because of the light beams, however, the tour itself and the tour guide were not a good experience. Our tour guide was solely concerned with showing us what animals or shapes certain photos would look like but did not once offer to take photos of me and my dad (it was 2 of us for the tour) nor did she have much knowledge of the canyon that she shared. She rushed us along and ignored many of our questions and kept talking about what animal or shape certain areas of the canyon looked like. I expected to learn a lot more about the canyon and get some photos from paying $300 for 2 tickets for this tour. My dad and I felt that it was a waste of our travel time and dollars. On the other hand, the lower antelope tour was phenomenal and highly recommended! I have and will continue to tell my family and friends to tour that instead of the upper antelope.
I also took the initiative to email the booking company my feedback and let them know the tour guide they assigned to us was not good and ruined our experience and since I can't get the precious time back, it would be great if they could reimburse me. I had to email them 3 times before I got a voicemail from their manager who then said he can't do anything about this and sounded like he could care less. It's truly unacceptable to be a tour guide company and not care at all about your customer's experiences. Very unprofessional and again, highly NOT recommended to book this tour. There are many other things that people can do with their valuable time.

Gave a 3 because our first point of contact , older woman at the front window, was so rude. We were afraid she would be our tour guide. She wasn’t, thank goodness. I felt terrible for the people who were in her group. We were behind them and she yelled at them throughout the entire tour, threatening to take away their phone. However, our tour guide, Nate, was awesome, He gave a great tour and took many pictures for all of us. The canyon itself is a must-see. I highly recommend going, but it is about an hour tour, a bit expensive and I would not use Antelope Canyon Adventurous Tours ever again for fear of getting the woman whose name I wish I had gotten.

Booked online at the last minute, I recommend the mid-morning/midday times due to the angle of light that enters from above: you leave from the meeting point by 4x4 bus and arrive at the entrance of the canyon, the guide is immediately made unpleasant with rude and unfriendly ways of acting. He banned the videos, threatening to report us to the authorities and that they had taken permission to film us if we did so... he only explained to a Chinese family why he said that only oriental people are careful, the others are not... for the rest, the canyon he does everything himself, it's wonderful even if €130/person is really crazy... I don't know if you can go on your own (you have to have a 4x4 because it's all dirt) but I would look for alternatives

While the natural beauty of Antelope Canyon is undeniable, my experience on the tour left much to be desired. The canyon itself was stunning, with breathtaking rock formations and colors that I had been eagerly anticipating. However, the tour was rushed, which detracted from the overall experience.
From the moment we entered the canyon, it felt as though the priority was to move groups through as quickly as possible. I hardly had time to take in the intricate formations and play of light that make Antelope Canyon so famous. Given the significant cost of the tour, I expected a more relaxed pace, where I could fully appreciate the natural wonder without feeling hurried.
While I understand the popularity of the site and the need to accommodate many visitors, the experience would have been far more rewarding with better time management and more opportunities to engage with the environment.

a guide who is disrespectful to the members of the exploration group,
She selects by appearance and favors two people to show them how to take pretty photos while despising others and especially us French.
She's just there to teach a photography class while yelling at everyone and showing her displeasure whenever you take out your phone to take a selfie.
The guide doesn't respect people to the point that she doesn't even speak to us.
She is just here to explain to us that the iPhone is better than the Samsung!!
I remind you that we each spent $120 including tax for a 15-minute round trip in a 4*4 and a photo session in the canyon,
I find it excessively expensive for what it is.

This is how it goes : you are in a group of 10 people, you take a bus for 20 minutes, when you arrive there are already 20 other buses parked in front of the canyon. In the canyon, your guide yells and shout to make you hurry up, takes your phone to take “beautiful pictures” at each sport and gives you your phone back. And then you are rushed out of the canyon so that the other 200 people queuing in the canyon behind you can do the same. So sad …

The place it’s unreal. Its beauty is breath taking. Only problem is that you get in in small groups and each group get a random native guide and we got the one in a “hurry” and that wasn’t much of a talker. The guy looked pissed from moment zero to the end of the tour. The tour is supposed to last 90 minutes, ours lasted 30. We tried severely times to talk to the guide like “small talks” asking questions about the place but he simply didn’t seem in the mood. When he got us back to the lobby he parked the car and said “we win” referring to the fact that we started the tour as the last group and we anticipated everybody getting back as the first one. We didn’t even see the others coming back. It would have been ok if the tour would have been for free but for almost 150€ per person I would have expected a different kind of commitment, at least be in a good mood man and respect the tour duration.

How to dress for this tour in mid-March
Written 17 January 2025
I agree dress in layers. If you think you might get too warm you can leave your coat or sweater in the tour guide suv before entering the canyon. Or you can carry it with you that’ll be some stairs but nothing extreme that carrying a coat would be a burden other than putting the dusty ground when taking group photos.
