    Amazing tour and tour guide
First and foremost, I need to give our tour guide, Tom, a shout out. My wife and I have been on other tours before, but he was excellent! He was very welcoming when we arrived to the pick up spot, and while we were driving to the destination, gave us some interesting facts and information about the city, and pointed out some historical places along the way. While at Valley Forge, I was amazed at the amount of knowledge he had about how George Washington and the continental army lived while staying there. You can tell how much he enjoys his job and sharing his knowledge of history with others. As far as the tour itself, we walked through the visitors center and got to see the exhibits on display. We also drove through the park and saw replicas of the housing that the army stayed in. The views throughout the park were incredible! My wife and I were just in awe of the historical ground we were walking on. This is definitely a must do tour if anyone is in the Philadelphia area!

Get to see a good variety of Philly - good and not so great neighborhoods
Having grown up in Philly I was looking for something different to do with my kids on our latest visit. Both have see the Rocky movies and loved the tour. They have not yet seen Creed and now are itching to watch them as well. This tour takes you out of the normal sights and gets you into different neighborhoods - Kensington, Center City, South Philly, Fishtown and Gerard estates to name a few. This would be a great tour for anyone that enjoyed the Rocky movies - no need to be a super fan. James did a great job showing the Rocky locations and clips from the movie. In addition, he is from Philadelphia, shared other interesting facts (not Rocky related about the city) and was more than happy to share restaurant and food ideas as well. Thanks for a great tour.

    Amazing experience
Had the most amazing experience with Adam, who's very friendly, knowledgeable and fun to chat and spend time with. He knows all the history and facts about Rocky, and it was quite surreal getting to see the famous sights and absolutely bucket list stuff for me, thank you so much, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone

    Italian Food Market Tour
Craig was a lovely guide with a lot of detailed knowledge about the Italian markets and the surrounding environment. We started with a famous local artist and his mosaics and learned about the history of development of this district. Then he introduced us to some local restaurants and shops and the people working there. We felt always welcome and enjoyed a very delicious testing of Italian olive oil, mozzarella, cheese, fresh bread and lovely cookies, as well as Mexican tacos and Vietnamese wraps. Altogether a great tour!

History tour of Philadelphia on Spring Break.
Tom's passion for Philadelphia and extensive knowledge of its history and landmarks shone through from start to finish, making our first day in Philly amazing. He was flexible and allowed us to get out or stay in the car anywhere he took us. He picked up on one of my family's neurodiversity and rolled with it beautifully. It was perfect. Thank you!

    Lancaster County Amish Tour
The mini bus was early which was great as it meant we could wait for the remaining guests on board. Our guide was James and he was friendly and informative. The journey to Lancaster County passed so quickly with us learning lots about the Amish. Our first stop was the Amish Village and Farm, this included a guided tour around a reproduction of an Amish house and plenty of time to browse the farm and shops - great produce!!! The rest of the day was spent dropping in to numerous Amish shops - toys, goats, quilting, leather, woodwork, bakery. Lunch was not included in the price but we were taken to a local hotel to experience a plentiful all-you-can eat buffet of local food for a very reasonable $20 per head. By the end of our trip which started at 9am and finished around 5pm, the full minibus of guests had a much better knowledge of the Amish, full stomachs and lots of lovely products as souvenirs. We were a family of three with a 16 year old son. There were plenty of comfort breaks and time to browse without being rushed back to the bus. Highly recommend the tour and if you get James as a guide, you will definitely have a good time.

This tour is currently being offered through We Venture (it's listed here by Philly Tour Hub).

This was our second time taking in Philly and this itinerary hit some areas we hadn't seen our last time in town. Elise, our guide, had good knowledge of both the area and history. She uses the filler word "ah" almost every sentence though so it was sometimes difficult to listen to especially for the teachers in our group.

We made one stop at the Center for Art in Wood that was not on the posted schedule and seemed to be of no relevance to the history tour. The stop at the Museum of the American Revolution turned out to be a movie, we did not stay for the live enactment which was taking place next that we had hoped to see. The needless stop at the wood place could have freed up the time to see the live performance.

On most tours the guides typically will get to know you a bit and ask if you'd like pictures in different locations. Elise did not ask and the one time my wife asked her to take a picture for us in front of Independence Hall she cut off the top off the building.

We were mostly underwhelmed by the experience and will look elsewhere next time we return to the area.

Thank you for leaving this review and feedback. I am sorry that you did not receive a 5-star experience, which is something that we strive for on each tour. However, we do use feedback like this to improve our tours. On our tours, we don't only discuss the past but also the present. Old City has experienced a recent rebirth, and one of the largest factors in that has been the local art community. The stop at the Center for Art in Wood pays homage to that part of Old City's story, which is why we include it on our tour. A portion of your ticket is also donated to that community art organization as we believe that supporting local artists and vendors is vital. The George Washington Tent presentation is a wonderful way to understand the man and the complexity of his time, while viewing a truly remarkable American artifact. The live performances at the museum are indeed great but do not run consistently at that time, therefore we are unable to include them on our tours. I thank you for joining us on this tour and appreciate you taking the time to leave these comments.

We really enjoyed this tour that covered a lot of the main historical sites of old Philadelphia. Our tour guide David did a great job telling us stories and keeping our whole family engaged including our young kids. He was very knowledgeable and attentive to all members of the tour. Some of the highlights were seeing Washington’s tent at the American Revolution Museum, seeing Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and Benjamin Franklin’s grave. I’d recommend the tour to other families looking to provide a good overview of the history and sites of colonial Philadelphia.

Fantastic tour with Nina! Right off the bat she established a rapport with those on the tour, with her easy-going and light-hearted demeanor. Filled with encyclopedic knowledge about anything and everything Philly, she focused the tour on Revolutionary history while punctuating here and there with interesting facts about Philadelphia. She easily finessed her way around other tour groups and traffic, while answering questions and keeping us engaged. I learned much more than I expected to, and came away with a newfound appreciation for this great city. Thanks, Nina!!

Dave was our tour guide this past Saturday. he did a great job of keeping the group moving forward which is really difficult with about 12 people. througout the tour he kept it historically informative and interesting. He shared a ton of facts over the 2.5 hr tour. would definetly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about our country's history and having a good time!!

We took a 3 hour tour with Adam. I have visited Philadelphia extensively for over 50 years, some visits for 2-3 weeks through work. During that time I have walked the city many times over and visits many of the historical sites. Adam gave insight into many sites and artifacts that I took for granted. Some of his information dispelled myths such as the Liberty Bell being part of the Revolutionary era and others opened new information for things I had visited previously. It was a leisurely pace with rest stops if needed- I highly recommend it to either a newcomer or seasoned visitor.

Great tour of an important city! Rick offered thoughtful, new and topical perspectives of our nation’s founding sites. I appreciate his also asking for questions and answering the interests of our group. He seemed to love sharing his city and made locals and visitors all feel welcome. When friends come to town, send them to Rick!

Thank you Jeannine! No two tours of ours are the same because we craft the experience to the guests. Asking questions and making the tours interactive play a large role in that.

Carla was an excellent guide! In addition to her expertise on Philadelphia’s history, she enriched our tour with her artistic background by explaining in-depth the beautiful brickwork and artistry in Philadelphia’s architecture. She was also a great storyteller regarding the founding fathers and their very interesting but less publicly known personal lives. Highly recommend!

We were part of a small group of about 7 or 8 people for this walking tour. David Z was a superb guide; he was very knowledgeable about the history of Philadelphia and the early US and had a clear idea of where he wanted to show us, making sure that we we kept to time and didn’t get run over at any stage! It never felt rushed though and he was happy to answer any questions that came up, was very engaging and seemed to genuinely want to pass on his knowledge of stories and topics close to his heart. He even gave us a sheet of places to visit and food recommendations when we finished.

For people with a very limited knowledge of the history and the area, we felt that this was an afternoon very well spent that we’d recommend to anyone.

Anthony was AMAZING! He did a great job of giving us the historical facts while weaving in anecdotes to keep everyone engaged. Was also very deliberate at our stops where we could sit while listening or be in the shade so nobody got tired or overheated. Clearly he has a passion for Philadelphia and sharing its history. He's in a profession well suited to him.
