It was not however an architecture tour. Out of the 3 hrs maybe 10-15 min was about buildings, and it was basic surface level knowledge. My friend and I ended up using our phones to look up buildings we wanted to know more about or get more specific architecture information other than, “that’s the blank building”.Written 11 September 2024

Booked for the “cocoa & carols” on the 15th Dec as we love a good old Christmas carol and have previously enjoyed cruising the Hudson & witnessing the stunning city lights at night. We payed £95 and were expecting a Merry atmosphere on board …. it was not to be. The band were a group of 4, sax, drummer, keyboard player & singer ( past captain ). Very Jazz type of music and for us not enough of the expected/ advertised Xmas carols, although the musicians were entertaining the singer/ captain had very little festive cheer. Think we witnessed Lady Liberty moving more! Only hope his sailing skills were better than his singing skills! One complimentary drink each and a saucer containing 2 biscuits, 2 small candy canes and 1 Ferrero Rocher ! Yes just the 1 . We gave it 1 star for sailing past Statue of Liberty and another star for the boat itself which was very comfortable and decked out in Xmas cheer. If you are looking for an evening of Christmas carols to put you in the festive mood then we would not recommend this. Not value for money.

I have booked the Sunset & Holiday Cocoa cruise for my family to celebrate my child's first birthday.
This included 6 tickets, a bottle of Champagne and a cheese board. Unfortunately my child got Covid and we had to take her to the hospital that day, so we couldn't take part in the cruise. I called and sent several emails on the day and the days after. I had no response. One week later I finally managed to get hold of a representative who told me they don't refund and don't care what happened, all they can offer is a 50% voucher if we ever want to book tickets again.
Very bad customer service and company. They are clearly just trying to make a profit not caring about their customers at all. They didn't even offer us to move the booking to another day in the future or at LEAST refund the Champagne we didn't drink and they can sell to someone else.
I will certainly never book them again, and I share my experience with all of our guests so they won't book them either. And we regularly have visitors from overseas.

Full disclosed: We arrived late and were not able to be accommodated with a reschedule or refund. I understand this and am not disputing that. My complaint is on the service. The ‘kids’ doing the check in when we arrived and asked if there were any options were rude to us, ignored us, and were busy playing to jump and wrestle with each other than acknowledging us. They discounted us and made us feel insignificant - like we weren’t even standing there- nor did they care. For $400 for a family of four, they didn’t give us 60 seconds of their time.

We did the cocoa and carols holiday cruise a few days before Christmas-- highly recommended, literally one of the best things we did while in NYC. The boat loaded promptly on time as described, assigned seating was effortless and we were on our way. We selected a 4pm cruise this time of year and it was a great way to see the skyline both before and after sunset.
The cruise staff were all very friendly, provided great table service and offered to take our photos while on board. The cheese tray was delicious, as was the spiked hot cocoa. The cruise paused at dusk for some amazing views of the Statue of Liberty before making our way back to the pier. The on-board band was great and made for a wonderful holiday experience. Would do this again!

This was the favourite part of my trip to NYC. Such a Christmassy and festive feeling, the musicians played jazz versions of Christmas carols and songs. The views were spectacular, something you wouldn't be able to see on your day to day walking in NYC. I would 100% recommend this trip. The only thing I would say is if you are sat in the middle tables and not one but the windows, you really do miss out on the beautiful skyline at night unless you go out on deck to see. This would be fine in summer but when we went and in the winter with the wind, it was bitterly cold so you wouldn't want to spend more than 2 minutes outside even when all wrapped up!! Definitely try and book to get a seat with a view

We were on the 4pm trip which allowed us to see Manhattan as the sun was setting and on the return journey seeing the night time setting.
The trip was well organised from the friendly welcome to the setting arrangements.
Welcome drinks, snacks and live Christmas music were all included in the price.
Great views of Manhattan, New Jersey, Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge among others.
Would recommend that you add this to your itinerary.

Had very high hopes for this cruise. Very disappointing. Couldn’t hear the music hardly at all. They took a LONG break, when the cruise was only 1.5 hours long. If it’s a Christmas Carol Cruise, they should be singing the whole time and we should be able to hear it. I would have recommend spending your money on this cruise.

Loved this event.
Jazz version of carols plus other favourites by an outstanding quartet of musicians. Every member of the band is a master of their art, especially the singer.

Over priced for what it is - one drink and a cookie. We had beer, it was given to us in the can, no glass (small thing, but for the price would maybe expect a bit of higher quality service - will probably get a response to say we should have asked for a glass, but really it should be at least offered!). Generally, save your money! Go on the free Staten Island ferry instead and play Christmas tunes on your phone!

Well.... VERY disappointed in this cruise. Christmas Carol cruise Pier 62.. I would NOT recommend this at all. Service wasn't good. Decor? Most of the lights weren't even plugged in. Singing and playing for only 1/2 the time maybe 40 minutes is all. And you couldn't hear them very well either. I might of well went to a very loud bar trying to hear what Christmas song was playing. Hardly any crowd interaction. Red wine? don't order it... and DO NOT WASTE your money!! I hope others review. Cause this is the the truth... so much money and it was that terrible.
