Itinerary

Meet a guide at Manhattan’s Grand Army Plaza in the morning or afternoon, based on your choice at checkout. Your guide helps you make the most of your time in Central Park, as it’s easy to get lost in its 840 acres and 58 miles of trails.

Visit famous landmarks including Bethesda Fountain, and the John Lennon memorial mosaic, Strawberry Fields, at a leisurely pace with your guide. Visit points of interest that even many locals don’t see, including the Ramble trail, ponds and waterfalls, and the Hallett Nature Sanctuary.

On the walk, learn about the history of the park’s construction and the incredible feats of urban planning that were undertaken to complete it.

The tour ends on the Upper West Side, a charming neighborhood with plenty of streets to explore and grab a bite to eat.

No. This tour is available only in English. I recommend contacting/googling Barefoot New York, a NYC company run by a wonderful Italian guide who can help you better.

The walking tour does pass by the Zoo near the beginning of the tour, and includes some commentary & historical photos on its history as we pass by, but it does not include admission to the zoo, if that is what you mean.

This tour is quite vigorous... unlike most of NYC, Central Park is not flat terrain. I would not recommend it for an older person with difficulty walking for 2+ hours.
