In the grand Metropolitan Museum of Art, it’s easy to get lost, or to spend hours looking for the exhibits you’d like to see most. With this guided tour, you won’t waste time wandering aimlessly. Bypass the chaos of the entrance lines with a skip-the-line admission ticket, and head inside where your guide’s packed agenda leads you to the top highlights of the museum’s collections in just a few hours.
What to Expect

Meet your Metropolitan Museum of Art tour guide in front of the Met. Use your skip-the-line admission ticket to avoid the heavy crowds waiting to get in.

Your tour begins in the Ancient Egypt section of the museum. From here, you see the armor of King Henry VIII, the Antioch Chalice, and ancient Greek and Roman artifacts. Your guide describes the history and significance of each artifact in the collection as you go.

Next, view masterpieces by European masters such as Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Auguste Rodin before heading up to the rooftop garden to take in sweeping views over Central Park.

If you’ve chosen the longer tour time, continue through areas of Dutch, Italian, and Spanish paintings by artists such as Rembrandt and El Greco.

When your tour ends, you can stay and explore the Met on your own, or continue on your New York City adventure.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Tour with Katie

Just completed the tour with Katie. She was an outstanding guide and communicated to our group actively throughout the multi hour tour. Each member (from young to old) enjoyed the entire visit. Highly recommend this tour and Katie to all.

Excellent small group tour

Katie was a great tour guide. She shared interesting facts, historical info, pictures (such as what the original colors might have looked like), etc. She was happy to try to answer questions. We truly enjoyed the tour.

Excellent tour

Katie did a great job. She even laughed at my husband’s jokes. Would highly recommend the two hour MET tour. Very informative, hits the highlights, and when your done with the tour you have the rest of the day to explore on your own.
