I booked this tour for 2 adults and 2 teens after lots of comparison and back and forth with other options. My husband and I did a hop on/hop off tour and hated the pre recorded audio but loved the open top bus. This time we wanted a live tour guide and loved that this tour offered several.guided stops, but the open top bus was booked up so we had to sign up for a closed top. We had no problem finding the tour meeting spot (get there early if you care about sitting in the front of the bus). Our guide was Steve, whose humor was entertaining and much better than the recorded audio from our prior experience. We were amazed at how he managed to keep our large group mostly together without losing anyone at the various stops. We enjoyed the information and the stops made, though it was sometimes hard to see things he pointed out on the closed top bus. If I could change anything, I would book earlier so we could choose an open top bus instead. I would definitely recommend this experience over the pre recorded audio options. Thanks, Steve!

From welcoming on Board, to departing and arriving back to the city centre the tour is something I would recommend to anyone who would like to visit what NYC had to offer in a quick tour
Our guide (Gil) was so friendly, courteous and had an incredible in-depth knowledge of the city and history.
From visiting the rockfella centre Xmas tree, to walk at the Central Park, to visiting the Liberty statue, WTC, valuable info of the city - the tour was just top notch, a def value for money and highly recommended.
Only feedback is to increase the lunch break from 30 mins to 45 mins, the restaurants are so busy that you would end up waiting and hurrying up for your breakie (tough I understand it’s a rush rush on the clock tour). Lol.

Definitely worth the money and I am even familiar with the City. My wife and teenage son were mad at me for booking it but at the end they both admitted it was worth it. Steve is a good tour guide and you will learn more than you want to know about NYC. The food court you stop and eat at is not the best and was crowded with school tours so I recommend eating somewhere nearby on the Street level. Also the Staten Island Ferry was cool and Steve knows all the ins and outs on how to beat the lines and the views which was awesome. Here is the deal with the Ferry it's a little confusing it is about a 15 minute boat ride to Staten Island very safe and stable once there you have to get off the ferry so they can do a security sweep and then you do an immediate u-turn and get back on the ferry to return. If all goes well you are on Staten Island land for less than 5 minutes. Also my recommendation is do the tour at the beginning of your trip because Steve will give you tips about how to move around the city as well as restaurant choices so do it like day 1 or 2 of your trip.

This was our first time in New York and so we wanted to book a tour that would allow us to see as much as possible, with a knowledgable tour guide to explain the sights. We were not disappointed!
We booked the open air/glass roof mini bus and would thoroughly recommend, it allows you so see so much more of the amazing skyline!
The itinerary had to change due to there being a parade on the day we booked, so lots of road closures. They handled this really well, changing up the route and giving us the opportunity to visit Highline Park and Chelsea Market instead!
A really enjoyable trip and a great way to see lots of the most famous sights all in one day!

This was an awful experience. When booking, we did not know that it was St. Patrick’s Day. The parade made traffic unimaginably bad. They should not have allowed a tour on this day - the tour guide was flustered and ran out of facts to say which made for an awkward experience. Due to traffic we only had seen central park after 2 hours on the bus!!! So, we forfeited nearly $400 spent and decided to walk around the city instead. Such an awful waste of time and money!!!

A good tour that was made great by our guide Steve. His knowledge was extensive but he also had great tips for best places to stand/view etc. He worked hard all day and if you get him you will have a great time.
Pay extra for the open top bus, as you can see the streets better and there are only 15 people so a small group. Bus was driven by Betty who has a smooth driving style and did a great job in the NYC traffic
I recommend this tour especially with Steve and Betty.

I’ve been to NYC quite a few times, but it was my husbands first trip, and since it was just a 3 day stay we decided to do a tour to make the most of our time in the city. We had such a great experience! Our tour guide, Buster Freeze, was a delight!! Born in Londen but a true New Yorker at heart, he was an endless book of knowledge and adoration for the city and the people. The tour hit most of the major landmarks, with short stops at places like Central Park, Rockefeller Center and the World Trade Center. By taking the bus, we were able to cover so much of Manhattan in such a short time. We took the Ferry to Staten Island, which really gives you a “true New York feel” just being among the commuters, and it gives you a pretty sweet shot of the Statue of Liberty. Our driver, Izzy, was cool + calm, and if you’ve ever been in a car in NYC can you even imagine driving a bus? No, thanks. But, I felt safe the whole trip with him behind the wheel.
Long story short: I ABSOLUTELY recommend spending the $100ish bucks to to take this tour, and if you do it near the beginning of your trip it’ll give you loads of help planning what you want to do next.

There are so many options for NY tours and I chose this one because it had good reviews and provided an itinerary that would allow us to see a lot of NY highlights in one day. It defiantly served that purpose. Our tour guide (shout out to Steve) was friendly and knowledgeable and the bus driver was unbelievably smooth in navigating the big bus through crowded city streets. The only questionable moment was my brief panic we could be on the wrong bus - even after we pulled from the curb there was never any kind of reservation “check-in” procedure. My daughter and I wondered if some tourists may have gotten a free tour that day lol. If you’re not sure what to see in NY this is a good starting point so that you can better decide which areas you’d like to explore more in depth.

My family of 4 recently took your tour on Tuesday, November 22,2022 and unfortunately had a very negative experience. We were on a tour with a guide named Bernard, a middle aged man with longish s blonde hair. When we arrived at the Staten Island Ferry we boarded the ferry with no direction from our guide. Once on the ferry we rode and when we got to the other side we departed the ferry like we were told by the ferry workers. Once inside the terminal we quickly realized that our guide and noone else from our tour group were anywhere to be seen. We waited the 30 minutes for the next ferry to arrive and never laid eyes on anyone from our group. We saw several other USA Guided Tour Groups. Once back on the other side we found another group guide and explained that we were left by our group and we had no idea how or why. Mario, another bus driver was kind enough to make room on his bus and let us finish the tour with him. We were extremely confused and disappointed that our tour had to end on such a sour note. We still have no idea where our tour group went once we all boarded the ferry and how we are the only ones who got left behind but it doesn't make me want to recommend this group to anyone in the future.

We had Dana as our tour guide and she was sooooo much fun! She made sure we were all accounted for the entire time, provided fun facts throughout the whole trip especially when stuck in traffic which kept us very engaged. 10/10 would recommend this tour to start off your NY trip with first-timers. There is a bit of walking/getting on and off the bus for those with impaired mobility, just a heads up!

First, we went to Central Park, where we got off the bus to view the Dakota apartment building, where John Lennon used to live, and his memorial, Strawberry Fields. We had time to take pictures, everywhere we went. We went to Rockefeller Center, the 911 Memorial, rode the Staten Island Ferry, where the Statue of Liberty was visible from the boat window. We rode the bus, between stops, but tour guide was giving us information, along the route, as we were riding. It was raining and cold, the day I took the tour. Don’t know whether the weather influenced the number of times we got off the bus, but we still got to see and learn, a lot.

I do not believe there was a restroom on the bus. However, the bus stop at the 9/11 site and the Staten Island Ferry station had restrooms.

Hello, we are coming to New York on 2ndJuly Daughter has fair skin and burns easily would the air conditioned bus or open top bus be best?

Our bus had a glass top so it was great to see out of. We went in November so not sure if it had air conditioning but i would guess it did, Really nice bus I would think with fair skin in the middle of july one should consider not an open top bus. Our tour was great and would love to do it in the summer another time.

Is it worth upgrading to the glass top/open bus? We will be visiting in the summer. It is about a $500 difference for my family to upgrade from the closed top to the glass top. We do have young children if that makes a difference. Is it worth it to upgrade or should we spend that money elsewhere? To confirm, This is not a double decker bus correct? Rather the same bus but one has a glass top and one doesn't? Thank you!

Hello, I personally would not upgrade. you see plenty without the glass roof. and you get off the bus ever so often. Send the money on something fun to do with the kids.

Do you have to get off at every stop or can you remain on the bus. We mostly want a mobile tour but may take my mother off at a few stops but she can't walk for 15 minutes. She is 88 and not in a wheel chair but if they have room I could lift one on and off to push her around so she wouldn't have to walk much.

The boat you take during the tour is the Staten Island Ferry which is free (you just board as a group); from what our guide said, those ferries run 24/7, 365/year… not sure if they shut down for inclement weather or not? Hope this helps!
