Boston’s “North End” aka “Little Italy” is a pocket-sized Italian neighborhood teeming with history and charm. Among the narrow streets, hidden alleyways and park benches you will find The Paul Revere House, Copp’s Hill and The Old North Church. In the next step you are standing alongside Boston’s organized crime headquarters. Absorbing the history and folklore of the North End cannot be done properly without coupling it with the culinary lining of the neighborhood. As home to over eighty restaurants and countless wine shops, bakeries, and Italian salumerias (a.k.a Italian delis) it is safe to say you won’t leave hungry! On this 3-hour guided walking tour we’ll visit historic sites, hidden gems, unique neighborhood shops, local hangouts all while tasting some of the most delicious Italian food anywhere! Enjoy the history, outrageous stories, and folklore of the North End neighborhood through the eyes of your Politically Incorrect born and raised VERY FUNNY local tour guide Anthony

A hilarious food tour adventure with AKA Flash in Boston
This food tour from start to finish was a fun adventure through the local history and local food scene. Our guide Anthony (aka Flash) shared insights into the history, pointing out local landmarks and telling the story that helped shape the food scene. His passion for both local food and the community was evident making the whole experience feel personal. It was a fun experience and Anthony had a natural talent for keeping us in stitches without taking away from the food.

      Anthony is the real deal!
As a lifelong Bostonian who works in the North End, I’ve seen Anthony leading his hilarious tours countless times during my lunch breaks. When friends came to visit, I knew exactly how to show them the best of Boston—I signed us up for his food tour, and it did not disappoint! From start to finish, the experience was incredible. We enjoyed a generous amount of delicious food from some off-the-beaten-path and authentic places. Some I had known, others were new. He even takes the time to give you the inside scoop on many restaurants we did not go into. We enjoyed the food, drinks, and plenty of laughs along the way. There's also enough time to sit and chat with the other people on your tour, which is a nice change from most tours. Anthony is definitely a character; his storytelling and humor made the history of the North End come alive, and his deep knowledge of the area added so much to the experience. We brought our 1.5-year-old son along, who—like most toddlers—was a bit of a handful at times. Anthony was incredibly sweet with our son and it made the day that much more enjoyable. If you're looking for a fun, food-filled, and unforgettable way to experience the North End, I can’t recommend this tour enough. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Anthony will make you fall in love with this neighborhood all over again. Five stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A great way to experience the North End!
One of the most memorable tours that we’ve ever participated in. Anthony is an incredible story teller and brings a first hand understanding of the history of Little Italy and Boston. Anthony knows the right places to go!!! The food was more than plentiful, authentic and delicious! Take this tour! You wont regret it and you wont be hungry!

Anthony was fun but behaved himself!
This was a really great tour. I forgot ANthony's name, because so many people in the neighborhood were greeting him with "other " names. Anthony gave an interesting walking tour of the neighborhood and told the story of the North end, like only someone who has lived there his whole life could provide. Despite the title of the tour, Anthony is a very sweet man, and a fun group leader. Tony had the inside story on so many things , that brought a lot of historical significance to our food tour and he made sure that everyone was comfortable and got plenty to eat!

      As advertised
Flash was a great tour guide and kept an authentic North End vibe going throughout the tour. The food was amazing and made me want to come back for more. I also enjoyed meeting others from around the world on the tour.

      Awesome tour
Anthony is everything you never knew you wanted in a guide. He was 10 minutes late to his own tour, walked up smoking, yelled at locals, and was an overall delight. If you don’t have a stick up your arse you’ll love it. More food than you’ll know what to do with and it’s all delicious. My 11 year old…I mean 13 year old for the day… he doesn’t allow anyone under 13 on his tours thought Anthony was hilarious. All 3 kids ages 22, 15, and 11 loved it. My mother-in-law loved it. It really is a great tour for everyone. Just take the tour. You are sure to have a good time.

      10/26/24 Afternoon Tour
This tour was a lot of fun. Anthony/Flash was a riot and also very informative. I learned a few new things about the North End and Boston. There were out of towners on this tour and they really enjoyed Anthony's traditional Boston demeanor. Lots of laughs and delicious food at every stop!! Although I selected Family/teens below, It was really family/20-30 somethings!!

      History and food
Flash was great. We loved the well rounded history lesson about little Italy. We kept coming back during our stay because of all the decliciousness but also to support the little people-the mom and pop places that are trying to stay open. Keep up the good work. Highly recommend!!!

Don’t be fooled by his gruff exterior. this is without doubt “a must do tour" for anyone that enjoys the north end.
The tour was outstanding. Our host was genuine, caring and passionate about his time growing up in the north end when it was 99.9% Italian families. We were poor. We just didn’t know it. He tells us. A very Intelligent man who plays it down in a gruff but loving, so what makes so special, especially becomes more . He cares about family neighbors and the people that make the north end where it is.. he appears to be unsentimental on the but don’t be fooled by the gruff talk. he will tell you which restaurant run by three brothers to go to for one kind of sandwich and which one to go to for the other sandwiches. he can tell you what goes into tomato sauce and how it’s made authentic way versus a mass production way to appeal to impatient Tourists. I originally heard about this two years ago was skeptical that I would enjoy it. my daughter and her boyfriend booked it and I’m so glad they did. I’ve lived in Boston for 40 years and for the first time as a long time north fan I feel like I really know it. he changes the way I will approach and enjoy the north end in the future.

A tribute to Boston's North End
The tour is more than just a culinary exploration of Boston's North End, it's a homage and tribute to the neighborhood and the people that made it special. How often do we pass an old storefront without giving any notice to the people and passion that make it thrive and survive over the decades. In this tour, Anthony provides a colorful context of what made the North End special and the people of the past and present that are working to preserve its legacy. I enjoyed all the stops, all the stories and the colorful people we met along the way. Can't wait to go back and re-visit some of the stops we made along the way.

Anthony is Anthony is a storyteller and brings the area to life.
Great fun, Anthony is a personality and you will get his personal take on an area he has lived his whole life in. You will find places you would never find on your own, you will hear stories from the area and get a sense of how much the area has changed over the last 50 years. Anthony is a storyteller, and brings the area, shops and people to life so you will look at places through a entirely new perspective. Great fun, would definitely recommend the tour.

This guy is an opinionated jerk. I highly recommend him!
We're foodies and this was our first trip to Boston. Imagine finding a local guy that can not only show you the best restaurants, but also tell you what it was like growing up here. Enter Anthony aka "Flash." "Flash" doesn't try to be improper. He's a regular guy who will unapologetically bring you into a world that most will never see. He's unpolished, unrehearsed and the genuine article. From his Italian accent to his colorful friends, you'll feel like you're living the experience and not just visiting. Along the way, we saw several other tours. Most of the tourists were paying more attention to our group than their own guide. That speaks volumes. Don't let the "Politically incorrect" heading sway you from taking this tour. If you'd grown up here, you'd talk just like Tony. "Politically incorrect" is his his way of warning you that he's not fake or trying to be someone that he's not. If you want a history lesson read a book. If you want to know what really happened, let "Flash" tell you about it.

There is a lot to talk about regarding this tour, but let me simply stress this point for why you should go - and why I'll be taking my wife next time I'm in town. Anthony is born and bred in the North End and spent his whole life there. It is sad, but understandable, that most Italians have moved out of the area as they gained the financial mobility, so having someone who can tell you first-hand accounts of places, people and events makes this tour above and beyond, not counting all the great things about the stops and the food.

We had a great time with Anthony tasting wonderful food from the North End and learning a lot of history! We loved discovering some "secret" spots we never would have thought to visit on our own. Thank you Anthony!
