For the morning tour, meet your guide in downtown Boston and board your bus. Prepare to sample beer and get educated on the history and specialties of various breweries. Stops may include Samuel Adams, one of the earliest and most prolific American craft brewers, Night Shift Brewing, which specializes in barrel-aged beers, and the nearly 3-decades-old Cambridge Brewing Company. The tour ends with lunch at Meadhall, a gastropub featuring sandwiches, bar fare, and a drink menu with dozens of American and European beers.
The night tour focuses on nanobrewing—or the production of beer in batches of three barrels or less—and may include Boston’s first such operation, Idle Hands, which brews German and Belgian style beer, as well as Mystic Brewery, Cambridge Brewing, and Night Shift. The tour ends with dinner at Boston Beer Works, a brewery serving pizza, burgers, sandwiches and salads.
