Overview
Explore one of Boston’s most cherished landmarks, the historic USS Constitution, on this 45-minute cruise to see America’s Ship of State. Get up close and personal with "Old Ironsides," including the option to take a tour of the famous ship and USS Constitution Museum. Also on this tour, see Bunker Hill Monument, the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum and Old North Church. This seasonal cruise operates from April to November only.
What to Expect
The USS Constitution is the world's oldest commissioned warship afloat and America’s Ship of State — a wooden-hulled, three-masted frigate (a type of heavy warship) of the United States Navy, named by President George Washington after the Constitution of the United States. Launched in 1797, the USS Constitution was one of six original frigates that were authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794 and the third one ever built.

The USS Constitution is located inside Boston National Historical Park as part of the Charlestown Navy Yard and part of Boston's Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile path through downtown Boston that passes by 16 locations that are significant to the history of the United States.

This 45-minute journey visits “Old Ironsides,” with the option to disembark for a tour of the famous ship and USS Constitution Museum. Also on the tour, see Bunker Hill Monument, which was built to commemorate the Battle of Bunker Hill, the first major conflict between British and Patriot forces in the American Revolutionary War; the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, a floating history museum with live reenactments, multimedia exhibits and, of course, a tearoom; and Old North Church, Boston's most-visited historical site, where the famous "One if by land, and two if by sea" signal is said to have been sent.

Beautiful views of Boston!

We had the 3 day Go Boston card and one of the options was the harbor cruise. It was a perfect way to see Boston Harbor and the USS Constitution. Plus the boat pulls up and lets you off/back on to visit the USS Constitution...More

Harbor Cruise

Fun cruise. Very informative. Where to meet was a little confusing but we figured it out. We took the last cruise of the day and it was about to rain but it was a nice ending to a packed day of sightseeing.

Nice little ride

Took the last tour out, tour guide was informative. We got off so we could walk around and tour ship, and just ubered back to our destination. A lot of history here.

Not What We Expected

While the ship was beautiful (from the distance we saw it cause it wasn't open due to a ceremony of some sort), we DID NOT sail on it as it was suggested by the website. We also weren't aware we had to be at the...More

Company Was Fine - Would Recommend Different Cruise

We were hoping to combine seeing the USS Constitution with a harbor cruise. Would recommend taking a longer cruise and going to see the USS Constitution as part of your Freedom Trail walk. Boat was large with plenty of seating up top and in the...More

Yes you can buy tickets onsite. But if you want to just get over to the USS Constitution you can pay $3.50 and take the ferry. Their ticket office is separate - further down toward the aquarium.

As previously answered, no. There are claims that the web site for the cruise is misleading. But it is not. Nowhere does it even imply that you will cruise on the USS Constitution.
