    Lots of Fun
Our guide was Aliya and she was great. She told us all kinds of wonderful stories and made sure to take us on a gentle route (San Francisco is really hilly) so she didn’t wear us out too quickly. The equipment she gave us to use and that she used was fun. We didn’t see any ghosts but that didn’t take away from the experience at all. Overall a great way to get to know the city and its history.

    Spooky Walk Through San Francisco
It was a fun experience ghost hunting our way through San Francisco. With the EMF reader, dousing rods and the spirit box it really felt like we were ghost hunting. Rose our tour guide made sure we had fun and that we did not add any new ghosts to the tour. She was able to weave stories of the macabre with sensitivity. Highly recommend her as a guide.

I loved the stories and energy that Rose brought to the tour! Plenty of fun tools and historic facts. Really liked holding the EMF the whole time.

    Engaging and mindful!
Jamie is clearly enthusiastic about the history of his city, whether it is good, bad, or ugly. He shared great stories of SF's colorful past and didn't try to pull any "fast ones" when it came to paranormal encounters. It was a fun time and the whole group was engaged throughout our tour.

    Great tour
Jamie was such a great guide! What lies beneath SF is fascinating. He was very knowledgeable about the history, as well as current events, such as the modern use of LIDAR in this places.

Would do again in a heartbeat
Our tour ended up being just us and the tour guide, which ended up be pretty cool. It would have been great either way… but Jamie was so knowledgeable about the history of the town and we got to ask so many questions. We’ve lived in the area (but in the rest of the bay or Sacramento) and we learned so much we never knew. Jamie was a great narrator, had great tone talking about the spirits to emphasize the gravity of what happened in those areas, then solid and detailed with the history. I would take more tours to pick Jamie’s mind about San Francisco alone. Also as far as the spirits go, my neck hurt the entire time (I thought it was bc I biffed on a scooter) but the second the tour was over & we ent our separate ways, the neck pain stopped. Take the tour to find out the significance of that… Thank you Haunt Ghost tour. It was a wonder and sobering experience.. Jamie you’re awesome, thank you. Hopefully we catch you again on another tour! Like 10 stars

    Ghost Hunt Tour Review
My two kids and I were on Jamie’s Ghost Hunt Tour last night. Jamie was an entertaining tour guide - answered all the questions my kids asked. He was respectful of the guests (and the ghosts), and knew a lot of cool stories about SF Chinatown's spooky history/folklore. Would recommend this for a fun night out.

Fascinating SF history fun for everyone
Been in SF since 1992 and learned some really cool fascinating facts. My 15 year old son who was making fun that we were doing a tourist attraction but he ended up having a great time. It took you back in time in SF. The stories were so interesting. The tour guide did a great job keeping it lively. Loved the ghost hunting tools provided and used. Highly recommend this to learn about SF history and explore some of the oldest streets here.

Wes led our Chinatown and Little Italy food tour and he was a terrific guide for the afternoon. He packed in a good amount of interesting and diverse food spots into one tour, and each one was entertaining. He gives just the right amount of context and history at each spot to leave you informed but also to leave you time to chitchat with others at each one. He's not boring and instead really engaging. You can also tell how much he reveres San Francisco, which is a plus when you're there to appreciate the city, too. I've lived here for years and had been to each neighborhood before but never had this perspective that he was able to lend, so it was a great tour for an SF lover, history nerd, and foodie like me. I should note that I participated in the tour with my colleagues for a team outing, so compared to other social things we do together, I really liked this one because it wasn't just another dinner or event centered around drinking and small talk. Thanks for the memorable and fun afternoon, Wes!

I really enjoyed this tour with Mina. Mina was super friendly, energetic, and knew a lot about the history and food of the places she took us. The tour was really well organised and timed with a great selection of food and desserts. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

Mina was our guide who gave us a lot of information on both Chinatown and Little Italy. We made six food stops so there was plenty for lunch. The Dim Sum place was pretty awesome and filled with local patrons. Pizza and canolis round up the tour. Highly recommend this tour if you want to visit these neighborhoods!

The food was ok, but would have liked more discussion along the tour. For example, very little said about dim sum, how it originated, whether it’s still popular etc. At the pizza place the guide sat at only one table and didn’t bother to come sit with the other table. We’ve done a variety of food tours, but this one left us feeling that we knew very little about the neighbourhoods or the people. Plus, the kids were still hungry at the end of it.

Thank you for your honest feedback--it looks like there are some standard procedures that didn't occur on this tour, and I apologize for that. Namely, we want guides to include a great history of Chinatown, North Beach, and the cuisines of these neighborhoods. I'm speaking with all of our guides to ensure that they're doing this consistently. Guides should also be talking with each table when we have groups spread out in a restaurant, and giving plenty of attention to everyone. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, and am sorry your table felt ignored. Lastly, most of our guests are quite full by the end of the tour, so I'm impressed with your kids' voracious appetites! Please email me at wes@wildsftours.com and I'll see what else I can do for you.

I took a grand total of three tours with Wild SF and each one was brilliant in its own way. I originally selected the free walking tour because it was run by creatives who live in San Francisco. I knew it would be full of fun personalities, local urban legends, a bit of flare, and that they wouldn't shy away from the harder topics in history. I wasn't wrong, the free downtown tour with Mina was wonderful, from sordid pasts to heart warming stories, it had everything I want from a tour, the history, the politics, the legends. All from a very knowledgeable and friendly Mina, a costume designer, who knew the most quirky and wonderful stories of the city, and delivered them with the skill of an actor.

Mina also took my paid tour through the Street Art in the Mission district, which was an easy stroll through some politically important art pieces, local mission history, and the art crews who call the area home.

Finally, I took the delicious food tour with the amazing Fisher which also, to my surprise, doubled as a delightful history tour of the area (not just the food). There was a LOT of food on the tour, so make sure you only have a light breakfast before hand! Like Mina, Fisher was a delight - a filmmaker who has a flare for storytelling - Fish was knowledgeable, happy, and constantly checking in with everyone.

I highly recommend this great tour company.

I arrived to San Francisco and booked this tour as first a tourist activity to do for 3 hours. The guide was lovely showed us the original history of China town and sample local favourites visited 4 places. Then moved to Italian town visited 2 places I was little disappointed about Italian food not what I expected. But walked past many other fantastic restaurants that helps plan to visit for meals during my stay in SF.
Tour guide talked so fast that it was hard to lip read as I am Deaf. This tour was good in some ways but you quick in moving on to next place and not much time to take photos.

Mina our tour guide was knowledgeable but extremely scripted - it seemed like she was almost constantly in the midst of performing. She shared some good info but frankly got annoying quite quickly. The best part of the tour was Dim Sum. There were some interesting side stops but overall it was nothing unforgettable. I don’t regret doing the tour as we did have a good time but it could have been better with a different guide.

Hi Andrea, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your guide's delivery of information. Mina has been giving amazing tours with us for 4 years, though it sounds like her style didn't resonate with you. I hope you'll consider joining another Wild SF tour guide with us in the future!

Fisher was a great tour guide who leavened the serious and sad parts of the history of Chinatown and Little Italy with a great sense of humour. Really enjoyed ourselves and got to see places and enjoy food we'd otherwise have missed. Definitely recommend.
