Overview
Get a standard hop-on hop-off experience with upgrades for more tours as far as Sausalito.
What to Expect
The bus tour route starts at Fisherman’s Wharf, but you can board at any of the stops. Just exchange your voucher for a ticket, and get ready to explore the City by the Bay.

Highlights include Pier 39, Union Square, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Golden Gate Bridge and Lombard Street. Plan your day’s itinerary based on your own interests. You won’t be stuck in one area—unless you want to.

There are four walking tours included with your pass. Explore Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach, Chinatown, or the Barbary Coast with a guide who knows the must-see highlights of each area. It’s possible to fit all tours into one day if you plan accordingly.

If you’ve upgraded, take a Sausalito tour, and enjoy a one-hour bike rental.

Your experience ends on the day your pass expires. If you have the time, two-day passes are also available.

Joseph Amster – Greatest guide I've had in my life

Such a funny and informed guide, loved him so much! The tech on the bus wasn't the best though... :( BUT Joseph evened that out for me, so full score for that!

Points to Know

Good way to get an overview of San Francisco. Audio guides are good and staff is helpful. It takes 2 1/2 hours for a bus to make a complete circuit in heavy traffic, so plan accordingly. Don't wait at stop #20 first thing in the...More

Second time, still worth it

I took this bus tour a few years ago when I was traveling with my nieces and nephew so I didn't have to try to maneuver through an unknown city with a 17, 16, and 15 year old in the car. Totally worth it then....More

Great way to see SAN Fransisco

We bought a two day ticket which was a great way to see the main attractions of SAN Fransisco. Buses have audio guides which are very informative and you can hop on and off when you wish

Don't waste your money!

Don't bother taking this tour. You can see the sights using other transportation without the expense. We waited 45 minutes to be picked up at the very first stop! There would have been no way to complete the loop around the city and see all...More

I believe you can see the route if you google Big Bus San Francisco. The tour starts and ends near Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. It seemed like a lot of the stops were at regular bus stops so you could take a bus from... More

Yes, the buses I was on were double-decker. I completed the city tour twice and each time was different and lots of fun. The benefit of the double decker includes the ability to head indoors when it gets too cold or windy... More
