Horrible. After I purchased the tour the park has been closed all winter. But tour shouldn’t have allow me to purchase the tour.

The self-guided tour was great. It provided both overview information and specific stops on Yellowstone and Grand Teton parks. It was like being on a guided bus tour without the bus and people. Plus, we could go to many stops where a bus could not go because of its size. It was fairly easy to use and play back different information / stops. As noted, the parks have inconsistent internet connection.

We downloaded it when we were on WiFi, as directed. They said it would then work when we did not have cell coverage. I would say that is partially true. It sometimes did not work until we got to a spot with cell coverage. When it did, we enjoyed the information. I liked the way you could navigate it from any direction of the parks, and the fact that it knew where you were via GPS.

This tour was absolutely fantastic and a great value for the money. We did Grand Teton and Yellowstone, as well as the bonus tours of West Thumb, Prismatic Spring, and Old Faithful. We loved the historical context and fun facts about the parks and attractions. We saw several things we would have missed entirely without this tour because they were off the beaten path. It was very easy to customize to your own preferences, mobility, and schedule. The offline functionality was especially helpful because there is no service in many areas of Yellowstone. I strongly recommend downloading everything before you leave. I will definitely consider other Action Tours in the future.

App worked as described. I downloaded content in advance, and had full coverage even without WiFi or cell service. GPS map automatically tracked our travel through the tour.

We learned a lot along the way. Very descriptive and informative. Wish it would’ve went on into Yellowstone, the title is a little misleading

This was a complete waste of money. I downloaded the app and the park maps just as it directed and it did not work in the parks.

The best way to enjoy touring the Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and surrounding area with a self timed tour full of interesting trivia, and a pleasant virtual guide! The various touring and starting point options are very useful to plan the visit in multiple angles. The guidance of reviewing the tour plan and instructions for downloading ALL the tours beforehand is extremely important as there is no signal once you enter the area. I strongly recommend downloading the Apple and/or Google maps of the entire park area from the hotel locations (from all adjacent states - Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana) as it offers a great parallel back up (and peace of mind) for navigational guidance. The tour points (from their starting points) are nicely timed with the speed limits and the narrations automatically come up as you approach the location. The moving blue dot on the map is very useful to know if you are on track. It would be great once the App is capable of displaying as a map on CarPlay. However, it worked well with its audio coupled with my downloaded Apple map directions. I was then able to see the Blue dot on the App on my phone while seeing the GPS directions and App audio on the CarPlay. It became very beneficial when occasionally (rare) there was a time mis-match in the Blue Dot vs actual location. The various historical references and anecdotes are very entertaining and useful - not only for learning about the park, but also for a great company as you are driving a row this vast area. We didn’t even realize how much and how long we had driven as the various tour stops and associated narration kept us very engaged, along with the incredible wonder of nature around us. The suggested tour stop points and optional detours are excellent in seeing all great things in the area. I would strongly recommend this Self-Guided tour to fully enjoy the park at your own pace!!!

Views were great and lots of memories made! The voices were very suitable for the trip and it was nice to learn more about the place than what we knew on our own.

So pleased we purchased this App. Worth every cent! It was informative and gave us a good guide around the Parks. The narrator was easy and pleasant to listen to. Would highly recommend people purchase these self drive audio guides.

We had high hopes for this self guided tour. However, never could seem to get it to work as it was described. We were in Yellowstone, poor cell service and no internet are a given in this park so we downloaded this ap and all of the access locations as well before we even arrived. As stated in the instructions, it's best to open the different tracks before you need them to make certain that they would work. We did this before we left home and all was fine. Until we entered the Park areas and were not able to access them unless we already had started the track when we did have cell service. Very difficult to do in this particular area I guess. The point of downloading them ahead of time was to use without the need for cell service at all I thought. We didn't contact the customer service because- no cell service. We were able to use a few of the tours and when we had them we enjoyed the stories. They were informative but at times felt them to be very basic and simplified.

The concept is great, but execution needs to be improved. Information is delayed by at least a minute or two, so missed the recommended sites to stop over! It's hard to go drive back since there were many cars behind me!!

This was very helpful for our trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. We enjoyed having an audio tour for the car to give us the information about the area.

All in all a very good and easy to use app with the Yellowstone tours generally "better". The Yellowstone tours had directions from each entrance of the park and proceeding along the park roads in either a clockwise or counter clockwise direction. This allows you to start along an interior road in one direction getting tips as you drive and then if you want to turn around, perhaps heading back to your lodging, simply close the tour you are on and then load a tour going in the opposite direction. It will be repetitive because it will play the same tips you heard before you turned around but good because it gives you the information at the proper time for your location. (Information is given as you approach destinations so you can make turns or look for turnouts) Grand Teton on the other hand only lays out tour in a given direction, one entering from north and second from the south so the flexibility in the route you would like to follow is not as good. Good and interesting information in both. It is critical that you download not just the app but each individual drive you may want to follow to your phone before you head out. Availability of cell service or WiFi may be very spotty once you get to the parks and if drives are not downloaded you may not be able to open a drive.

The app was a little challenging to get started but once it was set up, it was very informative and flawless the remainder of our trip into the park. I would highly recommend the app over the expensive tours.
