He incorporated stories of human interest and interesting facts about Jackson and how it came to be. He was informative and entertaining, full of information that kept the interest of our family of 12 age ranging from 8 to 82. Thank you Jesse for an fabulous adventure.Written 29 December 2024

- jordanak2160 contributionsBehind the Scene of Yellowstone National ParkWonderful guide and experience! Mr. Jesse is an outgoing personality that gives you a wealth of knowledge of Yellowstone and the Tetons! Would highly recommend for any visitor wanting the full experience the moment you step onto the bus. We went with Jackson Hole Bible College, and Mr. Jesse was able to take us on along the story of Yellowstone National Park and engaging our 40+ members in the secrets of the park! He answered all and any questions the students and staff had, giving us the smallest of details and facts he knew just off the top of his brain! Mr. Jesse showed his secured view of God’s handiwork seen throughout all creation, having scientific evidence to support Biblical claims. Make sure to visit Teton National Park with him as well, he will not disappoint from the bus ride talks, the invigorating hikes, and the small facts found in every corner of the parks! He loves what he does and it shows every second.Written 17 November 2024

Jesse is a fantastic tour guide! Not only did he take us to Yellowstone at times that were exceptionally uncrowded, but he took us to the best spots as well and had so much knowledge on all the history of the geological features and the park itself. So much experience as well! Me and my friend wanted to hike teewinot mountain a week later and Jesse being so experienced was able to provide us advice for conquering such a difficult mountain. He is truly a beast !

We had an awesome day with our guide Jesse! He was so knowledgeable and experienced about the land/ parks both Grand Teton and Yellowstone. His knowledge really helped us connect to what we were seeing, feeling and hearing from the surrounding nature. We learned so much.
I would recommend this tour to anyone on their first visit to Yellowstone or Grand Teton. It’s Family friendly, although it was greatly enjoyed by only my spouse and I on this tour.
The land is so massive it put great perspective on what’s really out there, especially if you’ve never been to Wyoming before. We saw wildlife, which is never promised but we got pretty lucky. Saw lots of Bison, quite a few Elk, and some others but no bears or moose. *I recommend a wildlife tour if you want to see more wildlife than the land itself*
This tour also gave us the best perspective on how to handle parking situations or even if we would rather stay directly in Yellowstone during our next visit!
Ultimately, the tour was amazing we stopped as often as we wanted, our guide knew great places to stop for restroom breaks & souvenir shopping! our guide Jesse really helped make the journey seamless as possible. We had lunch at The Old faithful geyser which was fun. Jesse gave us many options on where we could have our lunch. We opted for the short and sweet lunch so that we could see as much as possible!
11hrs is a long day! It honestly flew by.. that’s how astonishing everything that we saw was!! The thermal activity was very interesting to watch throughout the park, the hot springs were a highlight to see.. I love that we choose September, we started with about 35 degree weather @ 7am and cloudy skies, by the end of the tour it was completely sunny and changed the experience which was great. 100% satisfied. Loved the sprinter van transport but if you prefer a window opening opt for an SUV. We preferred the larger windows, and more space.

Jessie was an amazing guide he deftly navigated us through peak visitor season at Yellowstone. His knowledge and service was impeccable several times throughout the day bystanders were entranced by his narrative. He was very well organized and let us help make priorities (canyon/prismatic spring) and helped with our 4 year old who was amazed at the day’s “adventures”. Lunch was great and he had an excellent selection of snacks and drinks to keep everyone going through a long day. I can’t imagine a more knowledgeable or competent guide. 5 stars Thanks!!

First thing first: you can stop scrolling because you won’t find a better tour of Yellowstone. Jesse O’Connor is the best tour guide in Yellowstone and might be the best one in the whole country. While he shows you everything you’d expect and want to see in the park on a private tour (old faithful, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, wildlife etc.) he provides something more akin to a sociology/biology/conservation master class. It’s important to note that he has lived in Jackson, WY for decades, so the lens he presents the park through is invaluable. He presents a case for Jackson Hole and Yellowstone as more than just a tourist destination but as a museum of nature that can’t be missed. Our family had such a meaningful and personal experience that my wife and brother-in-law sought out a walking tour of Jackson the next day at the local historical society. It sounds hard to believe but a full 10+ hour day with Mr. O’Connor left us wanting more!

This was my first time to Yellowstone, and I could not of asked for a better guide. Jesse O’Conner was a really enthusiastic and kind down to earth guy. He was very knowledgeable. Pretty much the entire time he was spitting out interesting facts, or telling a cool story. Thanks so much Jesse!

We took a tour with extended family, 85 year old grandparents to teens. Our guide Mike was absolutely wonderful. Knowledgeable, great communication, warm, thoughtful on how to make our trip comfortable for our grandparents who aren’t the most mobile. The range of stops was great for getting a variety of experiences in one day. The vehicle was also comfortable for our group of 8. Highly recommend.

Benji gave us the gift of a beautiful day at Yellowstone seeing major highlights such as old faithful & other geyers, beautiful waterfalls, history of the mountains & description of the volcanic activity & its impact. Benji was great with the 5 year old & both of our teenagers-he kept everyone happy! Highly recommend Benji!

Jesse, our inexplicably amazing tour guide:
Bar none, the best tour guide we’ve ever had. You must be ready to receive a beautiful cascade of knowledge that interconnects American history and natural history. Jesse nailed it. He is detail oriented and enthusiastic to no end. If you are excited about your travels to Yellowstone, you will deeply engage with Jesse and his leadership across the 11 hour tour. 11 hours of unrelenting enthusiasm and beautiful conversation. I recommend everyone go through Yellowstone with Jesse’s guidance. He puts 110% into this full day and gives you so much to look forward to, for the rest of your trip.
The van, a complicated start:
At the beginning of our trip, our tour was plagued with water pouring out from the AC capture in the van ceiling. This issue was NOT Jesse’s fault and was certainly not something he could fix. We were lucky to be only 5 passengers, but had we filled all 11 seats, 6 passengers would’ve been in an egregious splash zone. For the amount of money paid for this vehicle, it should have been seamless. I had to remove the AC cover, I spent the first 30 minutes of my trip catching water before it soaked our other passengers. I ended up using Jesse’s duct tape to create a water hammock packed with 2 microfiber towels and heaps of paper towels. This may have been a problem localized to rain, but was an unacceptable oversight. Jesse’s performance and service through the day supplemented this concern, but in the future, this service MUST fix this problem.

The tour was amazing. Our guide Jessie was wonderful. His knowledge of the parks history, the animals and even the science behind what helps the park survive was worth more than what we paid. His love of nature left a lasting impression on our family. We’re already talking about coming back to Yellowstone during the winter! He was very patient and kind to our girls (6 and 7). They had a lot of questions and were a little rambunctious towards the end of the 12 hour trip. Jessie’s many tips and tricks on avoiding getting stuck in parking lots and the best views of the sites made sightseeing easy and enjoyable. The tour exceeded our expectations in so many ways! Book the private tour and you won’t be disappointed!

On past vacations I had done a ton of planning and tried to do self-guided tours. This tour has changed me forever. Our tour guide Mike did a fantastic job of taking us to the right places at the right time. From bison to bears and mind-blowing geological features Mike made 12 hours fly by. I would highly recommend this tour and Mike as a tour guide.

Hello. We are looking for a private tour from West Yellowstone area as we are staying in Island Park. Do you offer anything from there? Do you have the same or near-same itinerary? Any room for Fri 30 August if so?
Written 23 July 2021
Sorry I didn’t see your question until now. On rare occasion I’ll drive up to West to begin a tour there. It happened once last year and I met two other parties within the park. Itinerary is the same minus enjoying the Tetons on the way. Because you’re so close, the day is shorter as well.
Written 3 February 2022
We have 12 people total. Six adults, Four 14 year olds and two twelve year olds. Is there any way you can accommodate us for a private tour leaving out of West Yellowstone August 16th?
Written 9 July 2021
