This was our first time traveling to Wyoming and the Wildlife Safari tour was the best experience of the entire trip!

We booked a full day Grand Teton tour and a full day Yellowstone tour (on separate days) and both were amazing! Our safari guide for both tours, because we loved him so much and requested him for the second tour, was Jody, who is extremely outgoing, knowledgeable, and has so much information regarding the parks and wildlife. Not only does he have an answer for every question, but he’s really patient with those who ask a lot of questions.

During the Grand Teton tour, Jody lead us to a bear sighting where we watched a lone black bear casually munching on blackberries. We also saw moose in very close proximity, elk, and lots of bison. At one point we took the road less traveled and observed bison with no other cars or people around. It was awesome!

During the Yellowstone tour, we saw a bear on the way before it disappeared into the woods, and again more elk, deer, moose and a herd of bison with their young traveling towards water. We toured the lower loop, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and watched Old Faithful. It was truly special!

Overall, we had the best time and are already planning our next trip with them! Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris is the best and we highly recommend them as your wildlife tour guide!

I highly recommend this company for a tour of the Grand Tetons. A full day is nearly enough time to hit the highlights (then go back to points of interest and hike them yourself the following day). This company was organized & friendly, very on top of things! We were picked up at our hotel exactly as planned and instantly clicked with our guide Jody, who I’ll mention later. Also, wanted to note that this company has taken all necessary precautions for COVID, wearing masks in the van and utilizing low-contact food items. This didn’t take away from our experience at all and in fact made us feel even more comfortable! We enjoyed getting to know the other couple on our tour. Jody helped us prioritize seeing wildlife in the morning, as that’s when animals are most active. We told him from the get go we wanted to see a moose and he made it happen! We actually saw 4! Along with bison, elk, pronghorn, trout, and a bald eagle. Having the binoculars provided and Jody’s spotting scope was not only a bonus but a necessity. We went to the historic areas of the park, the great lookout points as well as a few beautiful lakes, where we had a picnic lunch. I appreciated that Jody tailored the tour to the groups wishes, taking into account where we had already been on previous days. We rounded out a full exciting day with a drop off back at our hotel. I really have no recommendations on how to improve our tour because it was perfect!

Lastly, I cannot say enough good things about our guide Jody! He truly made the tour and was the highlight of our experience. He was born & raised in Jackson, and his knowledge of the town, the area, the park, the wildlife were endless. He’s the real deal!! There are lots of random wildlife tour companies popping up due to COVID and people flocking to outdoor areas like Jackson, so be sure to do your research and chose a company with seasoned guides. We heard some stories from the other couple we were with who ended up in that situation with a guide who was absolutely clueless and spewing random untrue facts. Not the case here whatsoever!! We went to one of the spots on our tour the day before, but it was a completely different experience with Jody as he pointed out interesting plants, different habitats, and the things an unseasoned outdoorsmen (like myself) would miss! He has a positive upbeat demeanor, is funny & outgoing, knows all the great shots & is an excellent photographer. He took lots of pics for us all day, getting great candid shots of me with my friend & even using the spotting scope to get close ups of the wildlife we saw. He was friendly even to those not on our tour, and his genuine awe and appreciation of the park is remarkable & contagious. Lastly, we followed Jody’s recommendations for the next 2 days of our trip and had an amazing time! Felt like we got some real insider recommendations. Thanks again Jody! Hope to see you again sometime.

What a great day! We saw wildlife from far away to as close as we were allowed to be (25 yards). The Nissan EV3500 was comfortable and high for better viewing. There were only 2 couples, and our guide McKinzie allowing for social distancing. We had such a good day that we asked for McKinzie for our second tour, the Yellowstone Wildlife Safari Tour the next day.
McKinzie took us to all the best wildlife spots and stayed in to touch with other guides to make sure we were successful in seeing elk, a bald eagle, moose and otters. We also saw sunrise, the best views of the Tetons, the Snake River, lakes and other iconic Jackson Hole sights.
Binoculars and a spotting scope were available and McKinzie took pictures and videos through the scope with our cell phones. Breakfast, lunch and snacks were also provided.
We were able to stay as long as we wanted and even turn around if someone saw something that “might” be wildlife. McKinzie happily took our pictures whenever we wanted to pose.
McKinzie tailored the tour to our interests, so she added viewing spots for birds, interesting geology and anything else we asked for. She made sure we never felt hurried, but still got everything in. We learned so much about the animals and the landscape and the conversation was far ranging.

We really enjoyed our tour with Jeffrey Meehan in July 2022 touring all of Grand Teton National Park. He picked us up bright and early and provided snacks and lunch throughout the day. Jeffrey was an amazing guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the park and made sure we had the opportunity to see as many animals as possible (elk, bison, birds, pronghorn, beavers, and more). Jeffrey was very patient and took us on as many stops as possible. Our family really enjoyed hearing the history and geography of the region as well, which Jeffrey seemed to be an expert on. We highly recommend Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris and Jeffrey Meehan as a guide.

Duane was our guide for our full day Grand Teton Wildlife Safari and he was great. He really knew the area and the animals. He also regaled us with his personal stories of his life in the park and just kept the stories flowing. He picked us up at 6:30 at our Inn. There was a family of three also on our tour. Breakfast was included consisting of a big, delicious muffin and coffee. Also stocked in the van were snacks and drinks. We stopped at many sites and one was more gorgeous than the other. The site of The Grand Tetons is unbelievable. Absolutely gorgeous. You could stare at them all day. We passed all kind of picturesque landscapes and the most beautifully clear lakes.

We had a nice lunch of sandwiches, chips and chocolate chip cookies. The best part was that we ate at tables and benches at the shore of the beautiful Jenny Lake. Just indescribably gorgeous.

I mentioned to Duane how I love the adorable pronghorns and he made sure to find them. We also saw buffalo and deer. We didn’t see as many of a variety of animals this day as we did in Yellowstone. He had scopes and binoculars to use to get a better look at the animals that we saw in the distance.

We all were given a souvenir Jackson Hole Wildlife Safari water bottle.

This was a fabulous way to spend the day and see the magnificent Grand Tetons. The Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris are A #1.

Lee was our tour guide for the day and we learned so much about Yellowstone and Grand Tetons wildlife! We saw Elk, Deer, pronghorn, a HUGE beaver, a ton of bison, dabbler and diver ducks, a blue Heron and a Momma black bear with 3 cubs. I was really concerned doing this tour because of COVID but Lee was so thorough with sanitizing and wearing masks that I felt completely comfortable! There were only 5 of us on the tour - 6 including Lee. They provided some breakfast snacks and drinks and our picnic lunch was delicious! It was a very fun and lively tour because Lee was so animated when he talked it keep me entertained! There was plenty of room in the van and the windows were clean along with the binoculars we used. I loved Lee's stories and even his dad jokes! ha ha It was awesome that he had a telescope so when we did see wildlife he set it up so we could see them even closer. He communicated with other drivers if they saw any activity in the area and we were able to decide if we wanted to go see that animal. We never felt rushed! Thank you Lee for an awesome tour!

Our guide Brett was very knowledgeable with Grand Teton and also had a strong knowledge of the park, animals, fauna and flora. We were able to see black bear, a pair of moose, coyote, pronghorns, bison, and a marten! After he learned I bird-watched he then began pointing out birds....just for me!

We visited many points of interest also including Mormon Row for the iconic Moulton Barns, Scwabacker's Landing, Oxbow Bend, String Lake, Jenny Lake, and Coulter Bay at Jackson Lake.

Surprise of all was the blue checkered tablecloth on a picnic table at String Lake for lunch...we felt like royalty!

We had the most incredible tour with Jeffrey as our guide. We started the day by telling him we just wanted to see a moose and he gave us that and more. We saw 11 moose on our tour with him and elk, battering rams and bison!! He was knowledgeable and entertaining and we had the most amazing day exploring the Tetons and surrounding areas!

Lee was an amazing guide with tons of interesting and funny information. Breakfast was from a sandwich shop that made to order what you picked - that was very good. Juice and snacks were also provided. Metal water bottles full of water were also included for us to take home. We saw a bald eagle, moose without antlers, bison, big horn sheep, black tail deer, blue heron, trumpeter swans and other water fowl. Of course the elk refuge sleigh ride with Jack and Jill pulling the sleigh with the guide reining them the correct way and telling her informative information about the Elk and the refuge. It was very cold on the sleigh with the wind. But we were prepared and blankets were provided. The museum was cool. We didn’t spend much time there so they gave us a pass to come back so we could spend longer. We did have our lunch there at the Palate and it was very good. It was a little different from what I am used to eating. But we were all pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the burgers and trout. Lee got out the spotting scope every time so we could see up close. It was a very nice tour!!
