Great value for money West Island Tour
Overall great value for money, get to see lots of the West side of the island in one trip.

However the itinerary details a small levada walk, unfortunately I wouldn’t count this as even a small levada walk it’s just a 2 minute walk to a viewing point.

Cannot fault the value for money or the knowledge of our guide very much enjoyed!

Great introduction to the island

I would definitely recommend the excursion as one of the first activities to do if you are there for a short time, to get to see the main landmarks and the diversity of this beautiful island.
We were very lucky to be in a small group of 4 and seemed to be getting to the places just before the big crowds in bigger vans (not sure if it is the company doing smaller groups or just lucky we happened to have a small group). As it is mentioned in other reviews, we stopped in more places than anticipated which made up for the caves that are currently closed indefinitely due to coronavirus.
Some of the highlights were probably Camara dos Lobos (a lovely fishing village) and the natural pools of Porto Moniz (bring your swimsuit with you and a towel as one of the people in the group hadn't and missed out on the 2hrs swim in these beautiful pools (if it is not your thing there is also an aquarium you can visit or just enjoy the views without getting in the water)).
Finally, the service was great as they went above and beyond when I told them I forgot my flip-flops in the van to get them back to me (make sure you don't leave anything behind like me).
To sum up, great experience, would definitely recommend to do at the beginning of your stay.

We had a fantastic day exploring the west coast, Madeira is absolutely stunningly beautiful and a must see! The tour guide was knowledgeable. The trip advertises a short levada walk which did not happen and was not mentioned - we have booked a separate levada walk so were not massively upset by this however could have been if we hadn’t booked the other trip! Finally, it is suggested that you have lunch at a recommended restaurant in Porto Moniz - we chose not to as we wished to have longer exploring the beautiful natural rock pools (take a swimming costume so you can swim!). We did feel as if it was perhaps expected to eat in the recommended restaurant and this definitely wouldn’t have given us enough time to see Porto moniz properly. Overall, we would recommend this tour due to the beautiful places we visited!

Fantastic West Coast Tour with very knowledgeable guide and breathtaking views.
We thoroughly enjoyed our West Coast tour. There was certainly a lot packed into the 8 hours and our guide was very knowledgeable and took great care of everyone in the minibus. We stopped at some really beautiful places, first stop was at Cabo Girao for the sky platform - not for the faint hearted if you have a fear of heights! The views up in the mountains were absolutely breathtaking and probably my favourite. We also had a quick walk in some levadas which was lovely. In Porto Moniz we opted to have food as opposed to going for a swim, there wasn't enough time to do both even though we were there for 1.5 hours. On the return leg of the journey we stopped at the waterfalls before finishing off at Camara de Lobos. I would highly recommend this tour to other families looking to experience what the West has to offer.

Wonderful day trip with brilliant tour guide.

The trip was absolutely brilliant! Truthful to the title, we saw many waterfalls and claimed up the highest peaks. The minibus was comfortable and everybody had enough space.
Carlos our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information. He drove very safe too on those scary roads, and stopped for our requests, when we wanted to take pictures.
I will recommend your trip to everybody!
It worth the price and we had such a great day!

Pack your own lunch
Great experience but was really brief in many places for example at the rock pools you have a choice between going for a dip or going to eat.

Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. 2 stops before the rock pools we were asked if we were interested in lunch as the guide knows a place and can call ahead. despite this when we arrived there was a 30min wait for the food which meant we couldn't explore Porto Moniz.

Highlights of the West packed together
Starts with an on time and easy pickup.
Our guide/driver gave great commentary and advice throughout the tour.
The mini van that we were travelling in wasn't full, so everyone was comfortable.
We had enough time at each stop to see the sights.
At the natural pools, we wanted to be in the water so we decided to pack our lunch based on the advice from other reviews.
The pools were definitely the highlight of the tour and we really enjoyed it.
Ended with on time drop off at our apartment.
Overall, very well structured itinerary and excellent guide.

West Madeira
Rui was a fantastic tour guide. The tour was excellent and he provided the group with lots of interesting facts about the island along the way. We went to several different locations, with plenty of great photo opportunities, and the atmosphere of the tour was very friendly. We would recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the different parts of Madeira.

Great way to see Madeira
The driver was really friendly and caring towards my elderly parents in assisting them in and out of the minibus and letting my Dad sit in the front for extra leg room.

Trip was very informative and we visited many of our must see places on the one trip. The pools were beautiful - a touch on the ‘refreshing’ side!! A great trip for all ages. Thank you

Good value for the money
A good trip to get to see other parts of the island. It’s nice that it is a small group. Our driver was very informative about each place. We had a lovely lunch organised by the driver, exceptional good value for money. Unfortunately it was very cloudy and raining at the top of the mountains so we couldn’t appreciate the views which was a shame but just one of those things. We had a good group of people that all arrived back on the minibus at the exact time so no hanging around for stragglers.
The trip was good value for money.
