I did the night time volcano tour. They arrived on time to pick me up and we met up in their van. We went to the crater and we had an option to hike to the top and had a wonderful view of the crater, Managua, the Lake and Granada. Manuel was my guide. He helped me to walk down because I don’t have depth perception. He was so patient! To see the lava at night was truly amazing and powerful as well. He got us to an excellent viewpoint as well. We also had the opportunity to visit the museum as well. I also suggest the coffee tour as I learned a lot about coffee and the harvest process. It was a beautiful region on the mountain. I also saw fauna and held a beautiful frog! What was incredible, Manuel spoke perfect English and gave us so much information and with the scientific names as well. I also signed up for the coffee farm tour and he was also my guide and acted as the translator when the other guide needed assistance. It truly makes a difference to have a guide that is informative, friendly and was warm and caring to all. Danny’s Tours also accommodated my schedule and I was able to take both tours!

I highly recommend Danny for tours, private transportation and advice on where to go and what to check out. He is a great person. Super reliable and fun to talk to. We for sure plan to call him when we go back.

Danny coordinated all of our tours for our Grenada stay.. His English is excellent and he’s a great communicator. He told us exactly what to expect for each tour and transportation was included. We recommend kayaking the isletas rather than the boat tours. We saw birds, bats and a lot of monkeys. Manuel was our tour guide who also spoke English and was very knowledgeable. We did the lava night tour which is great if you are uncomfortable driving in Nicaragua at night. Danny was also able to arrange a custom horseback riding tour, which was not available on his site. We took a boat ride to a farm, learned about cacao processing and visited Hot Springs by horseback. My horse loving dtr was in heaven. The horseback riding tour today was spectacular and well coordinated among many people. So if you want to do something special don’t hesitate to reach out to Danny and he can arrange something for you.

Wonderful afternoon spent with Danny visiting San Juan de Oriente, Catarina, and Masaya market and volcano. The volcano is amazing to visit -not to be missed if you are in the area. Danny is an excellent guide. You will be well taken care of if you book with him.

So glad I stumbled upon Danny’s Tours in one of the blogs I was reading before our trip to Nicaragua. I reached out via WhatsApp and Danny was super responsive. He curated my tentative itinerary to our group (1 adult + 2 kids: 2yo and 5yo) with some things I didn’t even know about when researching Granada area (a chocolate factory - super fun for kids). Manuel, the tour guide, was so accommodating and super nice. Kids wanted to buy something to feed the monkeys - he got fruit. We wanted to stop by a small market on the way bc kids wanted bananas - he got them. His knowledge of the language (both Spanish and English), the city, culture and tender heart made it for a great experience. He helped me order Vigorón with pork vs pork skin 😅 (bougie - I know), knew the monkeys by their names and pointed to the best spots to take pictures and offered to take pictures of us. Great day, great experience and definitely recommend!

I had a fabulous day on Ometepe island with Danny. Visited the butterfly venue, hiked a bit and drove around the island. It’s a beautiful island and definitely worth a day trip

What an amazing activity! We kayaked through very calm waters and saw so many incredible colorful birds, and a few monkeys sleeping in the trees. Our guide Byron was very informative and pointed out all the birds and nature along the way. After the trip ended, we realized we had left behind one of our nice Hydro flask water bottles. Danny took the time to drop it off at our villa, which was incredibly nice of them can’t recommend this to our group enough!

Our trip to the volcano was amazing! Danny gave us a really informative tour, and he made sure we had the best viewing spots to see the incredible lava show once it got dark. We loved this trip 10 out of 10!!

A fun hike through beautiful surroundings to see sloths…what more can you ask for? Having booked a few tours with Danny’s Tours, I asked him if there was anywhere to see sloths in Nicaragua? What a great way to get to know more about Granada! I was booked to stay in Nicaragua for a month based out of Granada and thought taking a tour with Danny would be a great way to get to know my way around. This tour was amazing! I did the Granada Walking Tour (not La Isletas) and found the sites beautiful (many churches), tasty (Bate Bate Chocolate) and found the tour provided interesting insight into the history of Nicaragua and Granada. We stopped for lunch at the market and ate some vigoron. Highly recommend Danny as a guide! As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and also that I’d made a new friend! Gracias Danny!

What an amazing experience to explore the Masaya Market and then on to the stunning Masaya Volcano! Danny was the perfect guide, arriving on time and getting to the volcano to capture gorgeous sunset views and to see Masaya volcano after dark. It really is a must see experience when visiting Nicaragua and booking with Danny is the way to go! He is very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves to share his beautiful country with travelers. Really nice tranquil paddle through some beautiful natural areas. We saw a variety of birds and we saw white faced monkeys. We also got to see and hear howler monkeys. I enjoyed seeing the homes on the islands too. This is a great way to spend a morning in Granada!
