About
Neer Gaddu Waterfall is a famous waterfall located near a small trek. The natural rocky cliffs from which the water flows temptNeergaddu waterfall is a wonderful spot, with two bridges and a few resting stops. To get to Neergaddu waterfall, it's a mix of ascent treks and trails along the bank of the Ganges. After enjoying the crystal clear waterfalls, you climb up more to visit a village and see the local lifestyle and Himalayan culture. - Tourist636026583810 contributionsBeatles Ashram: A Journey Beyond ExpectationsI'm so glad I opted for the guided tour of the Beatles Ashram—it truly exceeded my expectations! The tour was not only fascinating but incredibly well-organized, with a guide who was both informative and deeply knowledgeable. We learned so much, not just about the Beatles' connection to the ashram, but also about its rich religious and cultural background. The guide’s depth of knowledge about the history and significance of the ashram really brought the experience to life. He took the time to explain the details behind the various buildings and their associations with the Beatles, offering insights that we would have easily missed on our own. What really stood out was how generous the guide was with his time, making sure we had a thorough understanding of everything we saw. I highly recommend investing in a guided tour if you're visiting. It's worth every penny—you’ll walk away with a much deeper appreciation and understanding of this incredible place. Thank you for making my visit so memorable!Written 4 October 2024
- Tourist636026583810 contributionsNourishing the Soul with Healthy Ayurvedic FoodI loved this class! We learned so much about Indian cooking and the healing powers of spices—such amazing knowledge! Besides learning the recipes, we also got lots of tips and tricks for making food that’s not only delicious but also healthy and Ayurvedic. Our host, Anju, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. It wasn’t just a regular cooking class—she included some Ayurvedic principles too, and explained everything in great details.Written 4 October 2024

- TheotherLondon0 contributionsAnju's cooking class: love and expertise produce diverse mealsI had the privilege of attending Miss Anju's cooking classes while a guest at Om Homestay. Anju loves cooking, it is her passion and she proudly passes on her extensive knowledge of vegetarian recipes and meals. Her knowledge of herbs and spices is second to none and she patiently explains how to turn ordinary ingredients into mouth watering, varied dishes. She also makes a variety of breads and chapati as well as delicious sweets. I have no hesitation in recommending her sattvic traditional cooking classes.Written 23 September 2024
- danielmN5901JZ0 contributionsBrilliant Beatles tourThe tour of the Beatles ashram was absolutely excellent, and the guide was informative and knowledgeable. We learnt a great deal about the religious background of the ashram as well as the buildings associated with the Beatles. The guide was really generous with his time, and I am so glad I paid for this rather than going round not knowing what I was looking at. Thank you very much!Written 11 August 2024
- A1836FTsallym0 contributionsDelicious!Anju was absolutely beautiful. She was very welcoming, informative and thorough. We made daal, paneer butter, chapati and rice. It was more of a demonstration but we did get to roll chapati! It was a great experience and I would highly recommend :)Written 17 June 2024
- Andrew L0 contributionsA spiritual experience and return to 1968 😎Thank you Om for a most interesting and informative morning. I was privileged to have you to myself and will think about the many things you said. The book I showed you, ‘ Before Abbey Road there was Teme Street’ was all about the way in which following a pop group in England sixty years ago led me to many new experiences and enriched my knowledge on a very wide range of subjects. Today was the latest. All I need is love!Written 28 February 2024
- lauralZ2570EO0 contributionsDelicious in every wayAnju shared her skills in making muttar paneer, tadka dal, fresh chapatis, and more, for the most delicious meal of my trip. She is so gracious and cooks with love, and she very kindly accommodated by allergies. The Homestay is at the top of some steep and narrow lanes which gave my hotel’s SUV driver some challenges, but it was very manageable by scooter (or on foot for someone more fit) and totally worth the effort! Would 100% recommend, especially for foodies, cooks, people interested in sustainable foodways, and people who like meeting the best people they can wherever they go.Written 19 February 2024
- irisodds0 contributionsAn amazing evening in Anju’s kitchen. Everything made with love and purity in mind.We just came home from an amazing evening with Anju🙏🏼 She is a true gem with the most beautiful smile and genuine heart. She taught us how to make delicius malak paneer, yellow dahl and chabati. She made everything look so simple and it tasted absoloutly delicious. Everything is sattvik and made with purity in mind. Not only does she make her own milk, paneer, butter and ghee. She also makes her own flour. We are honored that she invited us to her home.Written 22 June 2023
- Shabadatma90 contributionsModerns Day Peaceful Beatles GuideOur guide Om was so peaceful and informative. We went at a great pace and he knew the best spots for us to spend time. It was the perfect experience blending the Beatles with spirituality, current Rishikesh vibes and peacefulness through the tour.Written 2 June 2023
- Lyndall L0 contributionsBeautiful morning trek (single female traveler)Tushita was a great guide, she met me at the hotel and walked with me over the bridge to the taxi. Watched the sunrise from the temple and had a little breakfast. Hike down was steep and slippy, you needed a stick to help with balance and not falling over. Route took a winding small single track between villages with very few other people around. Definitely not a tourist route and not on any maps. Stunning views on the way down. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to escape the city for the morning and see the countryside. For the price it should come with a simple breakfast and snack, as well as return transport to your hotel at the end (these you pay for yourself).Written 22 May 2023

- annamW406NL0 contributionsReally great day trip from RishikeshI booked this trip to get out of Rishikesh for the day and get a glimpse of the higher Himalayas, and it was really great and very well organised. I was collected at 5.30am and we got to the temple in time for a beautiful sunrise and view of the snow capped Himalayas and source of the Ganga. And then the trek down was wonderful, a really peaceful walk through small, friendly villages, and not too challenging! The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. I’d highly recommend this trip.Written 15 February 2020
