The tour with Don was the highlight of our stay in Monument Valley. A knowledgeable and witty guide who customized the tour according to our wishes. He showed us the best places to take photos and pointed out many things that we could easily have missed. His wealth of knowledge about the history of his people, the landscape, geology and political situations made the tour something special. There was also no shortage of personal stories and anectodes. The tour was definitely worth the investment. Don is a sweetheart and we had so much fun.

My Wife and I booked the private sunset tour with Monument Valley Safari on 10/03/24. Let me say that it was nothing short of amazing. Our tour guide, Don Mose, was incredible. In addition to showing us the very best sights, he taught us some Navajo words, told Navajo stories, explained the meanings of the Petroglyphs that we saw and gave a full history of Monument Valley as well as the Navajo people in general. The tour was visually stunning while also culturally deepening. Don took us to some places where the regular tours don't go and even helped us adjust our camera settings for maximum image capture. If you are planning on visiting Monument Valley, look no further than Monument Valley Safari. If he's available, ask for Don Mose - it will be an experience you do not forget.

Don did an excellent job as a tour guide. This was the highlight of our trip. Would highly recommend him for an authentic Navajo tour. Don’s stories were great.

Wonderful trip, had the whole mesa to ourselves. Pleasant guide who took care of everything. He had great knowledge of the area and shared that information, but also gave us our space to enjoy the wonderful spot.

My brother and I took our father to monument valley for his 87th birthday. The private tour we took with Don Mose was the definite highlight of our trip. He is a remarkable man with so many amazing stories. He takes the time to educate about Navajo culture and history which we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. It is well worth the extra cost to experience monument valley in a small group with Don Mose. He knows the best photo spots to help you bring back awesome memories. He made our dad's birthday very special. Be sure to ask him about his work preserving the Navajo language and his trip to Moscow and Siberia.

Excellent service. Amazing people. Highly recommended. Would definitely do this again. 3hrs totally worth it, whether with a private tour or a group safari.

3.5 hour morning tour. This tour was an absolute highlight. Bobby our Navajo guide was outstanding and gave us a special insight into the landscape and the wildlife and people who live within it. We appreciated the small size of the tour party (6 of us) which made for a more personalised approach. Bobby was talented in his photo taking and took time with each of the couples. We were treated to a visit to a hogan/family home and demonstration of traditional spinning and samples of weaving from a Navajo female who also shared her philosophy of life. We saw petroglyphs, tracked a coyote and visited rock windows, but the real highlight was Bobby's flute playing at Big Hogan Rock. Totally evocative.

We did a two week/4 state trip and this was by far the biggest highlight of our trip. Our guide was wonderful and informative. The entire experience was transformative. I recommend this wholeheartedly.

It was a beautiful view of the valley and sunrise. Riding up to the Mesa was half the fun. It’s an adventure we will never forget! We enjoyed our guide Ty very much.

Don Mose was outstanding. We three on his private tour were all very impressed. Don used a SUV. Perfect quiet and dust free. Our goal was to learn the Navajo culture, what the petroglyphs meant, and how the Navajo migrated to Monument Vally. Don made sketches on paper and gave each of us a flat stone inscribed with symbols we later saw viewing the petroglyphs. Awesome tour. Highly recommended. John, Gail, Laura.
