Even though I have been coming to the Island for 20 years, there was so much I didn't know about the history of Galveston. This tour is a nice mix of history, mansions, churches, a trip through the port and wharves and the driver was quite entertaining.

We enjoyed the tour of the city and learning of it's history. However, we had to wait for the bus as the tour was delayed 90 minutes which was very frustrating.

Kathy, so glad you enjoyed the tour - we've had excellent reviews of this new tour - what day did you take this? I am not aware of any tour delays other than a 15 minute delay on our Ghost Bus Tour on Friday 27 Sep as we were delayed in putting all new tires on the bus. We are extremely proud of this tour as even the ladies who work at the Galveston Island Visitor Center (departure point for Historic tour) each commented how impressed they were and that each of them learned something on the tour. You should have my direct contact information on your reservation, I would like to learn more about this delay. Thanks again for your comments and enjoy your stay on the Island!

Thanks for the review - it IS a great way to get introduced to Galveston. In fact, we've had many LOCALS go on the tour and they told us there was much they learned about the city they never knew even having lived on the Island for many years. Do check back for some of our new tour offerings!
