      Memphis Bus Tour
Larry was a fun and informative tour guide! Lunch at Central BBQ was included and the best BBQ this Texan had in Memphis! Highly recommend.

      Sounded great, incredibly disappointing!
We did Graceland, City and Sun Studios tours too. All these others had well informed guides, great stories, easy to follow and very fun. This crime tour was the exact opposite. Facts not believable, stories all over the place and made no sense, not well prepared and overall awful experience. You could tell 15 minutes into the tour this was going to be the longest two hours ever spent on a tour. Not only the worst tour we did in Memphis, this was the worse tour we’ve ever done and I’ve been to all 50 states.

      Interesting History of Memphis crime.
We opted for a crime tour after enjoying one in Seattle. I wish it wasn’t raining during the tour. We definitely didn’t don’t get the full experience. We enjoyed the stories and learned a lot. Taylor was great.

      Nice fun.
Taylor was high energy even with the rain. The storytelling kept us intrigued beyond the bus. 10/10 recommendation doing this if you are in the area.

Fun way to learn about the dark side of Memphis!
Such a fun tour! Our tour guide, Taylor Nicole, had a great way of telling stories, and we learned a lot! The cocktail break was an added bonus! Such a neat way to learn more about Memphis!

      Memphis History Tour
The tour guide Nicole Taylor, and Michael, the driver were very polite and courteous. Although, Nicole said she hadn’t given the tour in a while she did a great job. This was our first time visiting Memphis. It was a bit too cold for what we’re used to but look forward to coming back in warmer weather.

Great fun for true crime junkies.
We had a great time. Taylor Nicole and Princess were great. We learned about some of Memphis’ notorious crimes. Some of the stories were shocking and some were less so almost comical. I would definitely recommend Back Beat tours, everyone was super friendly, knowledgeable and fun to hang with for a few hours. We hope to do the cemetery ghost tour on our next visit.

      Getting our Memphis mojo on.
We enjoyed our tour. Our musical guide Davy Ray was a talented singer, guitarist, and raconteur. Our tour was on a charming old school city bus. We hit all the historic music hotspots and came away quite satisfied. Not to be missed!

      Spooky!
Went for a bachelorette party with my two friends, maid of honor and bride. Daniel was our tour guide and he was great. We felt safe at night and had a good time learning about the ghosts and history along side them. He was very honest with his information and was really welcoming to any questions or stops for photos. He spoke about Memphis with a lot of passion and care and the ghosts he spoke of were almost like friends of the city (some, some not) but overall with a sense of empathy. He was so cool and real. So happy he was our tour guide!

Our guide,Michael, was very personal and very informative and since he grew up in Memphis and lived here his entire life he gave us some great history on the City and on Beale Street going back to the early 1800's.Since I am a disabled Marine Veteran he slowed down to my pace and we took several breaks under shade trees while he explained the different aspects of the unique parts of Memphis and Beale Street. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.

Easy to book. Tour met as advertised, on time. Guide Charlie was interactive and made us feel like we were living life on Beale Street during it's hey-day. He mixed historical facts with a few scandals, the group was riveted to what he was saying. Easy walk, about 5 blocks, bring your camera and a few dollars to tip you're guide. You won't be sorry. Highly recommend!

This was a fantastic tour and went into detail about the building and the people who had an impact on Beale St. The tour guide was informative and knowledgeable and was good about asking if we have questions. Even though the tour is only an hour and covers a few blocks, it was well worth the time and money. I highly recommend the tour for any out-of-town visitors.

I have been a Memphian for over 20 years and took my family on this Beale St tour, so glad I did!
Shannon was an AMAZING tour guide. I have been on a lot of tours in every city I go to, but never one in my own home town. Wish I’d done it sooner!
The tour was so informative, she was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and seemed passionate about our wonderful city. Would highly recommend for visitors and natives of Memphis!

Enjoyed the Beale Street tour and our guide Renae was great. It was a hot day and she was able to stop us inside a couple of places to break up the time in the heat. She was very informative and enthusiastic about the area. When asked for a suggestion of an evening music venue she provided a couple and that night we went to one—Rum Boogie Cafe, where we loved listening to Freeworld!

We took this tour on a Saturday. A great time to do it.

We met our guide, Michael, at the appointed time and place. He is a younger man. But he knew all about the area, it's history and personalities. He was especially able to relate Beale Street's influence on modern music and black heritage.

    Making history fun.

We had had such a great time with Shannon on the historic walking tour of Memphis that we booked this tour for the next day. We learned about the history of many of the building and where the voodoo store was. Take this tour if only to get a local's recommendations for where to go for the best blues bands.

I learned a ton about Beale Street history, and also history of Memphis in general as well. It was a fascinating walking tour and lasted over one hour. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us time to ask questions when we wanted to. Overall, I would highly recommend this walking tour of Beale Street.
