Overview
See Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, two of the most popular Black Hill monuments in a day on a private tour in an open-top vehicle. Tour the South Dakota monuments before driving out to see them from afar and exploring the rest of the region. Go at your own pace with your private guide and make stops for photos throughout the day.
What to Expect
Your tour begins with pickup at your Rapid City or Keystone hotel at 9am. Hop in the open-top vehicle and Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse for a 1-hour tour of each site. Next you cruise down Iron Mountain Road in your open-top vehicle where you stop to take photos.
Next, visit Mount Coolidge Lookout to see Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and the Needles from afar. Take a drive down Needles Highway and stop at Needle’s Eye and Cathedral Spires lookouts. Then, stop at Tunnel No. 5 to look for wildlife.
Make a midday stop at Sylvan Lake for a picnic lunch (included) before driving to Custer State Park, the state’s largest. Drive the 19-mile Wildlife Loop and look for prairie dogs, deer, elk, antelope, wild burros, and some of the park’s more than 1,400 buffalo.
Visit State Game Lodge and Custer Park visitor center before being dropped back at your hotel at 6pm.

Excellent tour - couldn't have seen so much if driving on our own, especially the one doing the driving! Larry was our driver, and answered any and all questions. He did not make us feel rushed. The open top made it a great way to...More

Our tour guide was Larry. While he seems like a nice person, he chews and spits chewing tobacco the entire 10-hour tour. It is absolutely disgusting to see over and over again. As some who is directly interfacing with the public, this seems horrendous to...More
