Overview
Travel back in time to discover one of America’s most historic cities — Charleston, South Carolina — on this guided, 2-hour, small-group walking tour. Explore some of the city’s most historic neighborhoods on Charleston’s most beautiful walk. Visit the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon, a colonial building with a 300-year history; Rainbow Row, the longest cluster of Georgian row houses in the United States; plus the private gardens along Tradd Street; White Point Garden at the tip of the peninsula; the mansions along East Battery Street; mysterious Stoll’s Alley and many more.
What to Expect
This guided, narrated, educational tour of historic Charleston, South Carolina begins at the north side of the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon, a colonial building with a 300-year history featuring pirates, patriots and presidents alike, located at 122 East Bay Street.

Visit points of interest like Rainbow Row, the longest cluster of Georgian row houses in the United States. See the mansions along East Battery and the Villa Margherita, an Italian Renaissance house at 4 South Battery. Walkalong Church Street, featuring the Thomas Rose House, a National Register property, the Dubose Heyward House and Cabbage (or Catfish) Row, the Heyward-Washington House museum and much more.

There’s also Tradd Street, with its private gardens; White Point Garden, the southern terminus for the Battery, a defensive seawall and promenade; the stately homes of Stoll’s Alley and plenty more on this relaxing stroll.
