Overview
Paddle with dolphins and go kayaking with the experts on a Byron Bay sea kayak tour. See bottlenose dolphins and look out for whales and turtles as you paddle through Cape Byron Marine Park. Learn about the local environment from local sea and surf experts, and enjoy morning or afternoon tea with Tim Tam chocolate biscuits on the beach. All safety gear is included, and your kayaking with dolphins tour suits beginner and expert kayakers alike.
Highlights
  • Kayak alongside bottlenose dolphins in Byron Bay—no experience required
  • Choose either a morning or afternoon tour, to suit your schedule
  • Includes all gear (including wetsuits upon request), tea, and light snacks
  • Dolphin sightings guaranteed—if you miss them, do the tour again for free
What to Expect
After meeting your guide in Byron Bay, get outfitted with a paddle, safety vest, and a two-person sea kayak that’s designed for ease and stability. Then, following your guide, head out into Cape Byron Marine Park. As you paddle, see the historic Cape Byron Light—Australia’s most powerful lighthouse—and learn about the area’s cultural and Aboriginal history from your guide. Navigate toward the local pod of more than 300 dolphins that inhabit the area, and enjoy an amazingly up-close experience with these smart, playful marine mammals in their natural habitat. Spot other marine life such as sea turtles and migrating humpback whales (which appear from May to November) as well. Before returning to Byron Bay, stop at a lovely beach for tea with light snacks. Note that on the off-chance that you don’t encounter any dolphins, you can take the tour again on another day free of charge.

Incredible experience. We were lucky enough to see 5 humpback whales!! Such an amazing experience and Noah, Jacko and the boys were fantastic at guiding the group and giving information about Byron Bay. Definitely would recommend.
