Our tour guide was amazing with giving the tour! He knew every tiny bits of whatever we were curious about! I went with my cousin and she wanted to know more currents while I wanted to know more of the history of Portland. Anything we ask, he was so knowledgable he would answer all our questions!!! He also prepared water and candies just in case we would need some. Also, he drove really gentle and safely as well and explained about the sights at the same time which I thought he was also an expert with the tour. I would highly recommend who are interested in getting to know of the city, he is the person to find🩷

We booked this tour late on July 4th and when we showed up on the 5th Damon the driver was so friendly and told us we were the only people on his bus, for 12 people. He could have easily cancelled this tour with only 2 people but he took us every where and was so polite and informative. He shared lots of information about the museums and areas in town and locations. We appreciated the time at the Mansion and the Rose garden. We wanted to check out Powell Books so he dropped us off there at end of tour. He added a lot to our time in Portland and made our day special!

Great way to take in Portland! We saw areas of Portland that we didn’t know existed. Eric did a wonderful job leading us throughout the city. It would have been impossible to see as many parts of the city without his expertise. He was entertaining and extremely knowledgeable about Portland’s sights, food options, and the city’s history.
We also enjoyed being able to get off the van a few times throughout the tour to stretch our legs and take in the impressive views – especially from Pittock Mansion.
While we initially thought 3 hours might be too long, Eric kept us engaged and made the tour fun. We recommend grabbing lunch at Southpark Seafood, a block away, before going on the tour, as the food and service were amazing. It was a great way to spend an afternoon!

Damon offered us an incredible tour of Portland in the perfect amount of time. We were looking for something short and concise, which would give us a good overview of the city. This tour was the perfect choice. Nice pace, relaxing and friendly. Damon was so knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the “off script” commentary which added nice color to the facts. Much more interesting. We liked it so much, we’ve booked a waterfalls tour for the next day (will offer separate review)!

This was our first visit to Portland and this tour was a perfect overview to the city. Erik was a terrific guide. The tour was so great because it was a small group and included some great stops as well as covering so much of the city in such a short period of time.

We drove around with Craig and saw some cool neighborhoods and streets in Portland, but I was hoping to hear a bit more history about the town and how it was founded. For example, he knew some info about the Pittock mansion and it's owners, but didn't share any history about the rose garden's origins or the city Rosarians. Where does the name slabtown come from? Why is it called the Pearl district? Where did the name City of Roses come from? Also, the itinerary was a little different than what was listed, although I don't think that's a big deal: we didn't go to Mt. Tabor Park on the east side. Instead, we went to North Portland and visited Cathedral Park to look at the St. John's bridge after having driven over it (and it is the prettiest bridge in Portland, but unfortunately the drive up there is just looking at the shipping yards and containers of the industrial piers). You spoke a little bit about the wine, but what about the breweries and coffee shops? Why are donuts a thing in Portland? Did you wanna talk about the Simpsons? Overall, it was a fine afternoon with beautiful views of Washington Park, the rose gardens, and some cool streets, but I was hoping for more commentary and information about Portland's history. If you haven't been to Portland before, I think you'll still enjoy this tour. You just might want to do a little digging around on Wikipedia before or after to enrich the experience.

I'm sorry to hear that your curiosities were not satisfied. I will give your feedback to the tour guide. Each guide has their own style and perspective to share. The route may change due to traffic, construction, and closures that may not be apparent to visitors. We are required to provide an itinerary and if we cannot give the exact itinerary, we do our best to provide an equivalent tour experience. Portland has a lot of beautiful sights to see! We care about customer experience, and each review is very impactful to our small business, so please know we will make changes based on your feedback.

My husband and I were the only two on this tour, and we had Damon's undivided attention and kindness. He has a wealth of interesting info at his fingertips and gives a seamless and compelling narration, along with answering questions and making conversation.
We are thoroughly pleased to have chosen Peak Tours as our way of getting to see and know about Portland. We recommend this tour and this tour guide very highly.

Damon was awesome. We thought we had chosen the walking tour but our mistake turned out to be the best tour we have taken. Damon’s wit combined with his knowledge of Portland and beyond entertained us for over 2 hours. We saw the river, bridges, architecture, parks and views of the city and surrounding area. We highly recommend!

Nice time. Eric showed us various parts of the city and also pointed out many of the food and beverage areas. Beautiful views and the weather cooperated so Mount Hood was visible.
