- Storyteller5713260 contributionsExcellent tour of the GorgeExcellent tour with the perfect tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the many waterfalls along the Columbia River with its beautiful landscape. Pete explained the history of the Gorge with funny entertaining stories. - C1886RLolgal0 contributionsAvoid This Company – Unresponsive and DishonestI booked a tour with Oregon Tour Co. as a gift for my friend’s birthday. To confirm the details, I tried reaching out multiple times, but after receiving no response, I decided to cancel. I wasn’t comfortable giving a gift from a company that wouldn’t even acknowledge the booking. Before canceling, I attempted to contact them in multiple ways—through their website, by leaving a voicemail, and via email—but never received a response. Since I couldn’t reach them and had no confirmation of my cancellation, I initiated a refund request through my bank. They finally responded a day before the tour, falsely claiming they had never received any of my messages and refusing to issue a refund, despite clear evidence that I attempted to cancel within their stated 48-hour policy. This company is unreliable, unresponsive, and unwilling to honor its own policies. If you value good customer service and honest business practices, I strongly recommend avoiding Oregon Tour Co.Written 14 February 2025

- johnpB6039DD0 contributions5/5 - Trust Peter for a Good Tour of Portland's BreweriesMy friends and I went on a tour of local breweries with Peter this weekend. We had a fantastic time and I highly recommend checking out this company if you're in the area. Peter was very knowledgeable, charismatic, and accommodating. We (theoretically) could have figured out our own route through the city, what breweries to go to, and all the beers to try on our own, but I think we would have ended up with a worse experience. Peter shared a lot of local history and brewing facts with us while we traveled and when we visited the breweries and that significantly enhanced the experience. Having a sober driver we could trust was a huge bonus, too. Peter felt like another member of our friend group; he's very friendly. If I ever want to do another tour in or around Portland, I'll be looking here first. Thanks for the great time, Peter!Written 18 November 2024
- christophercJ8506LW0 contributionsBest Brewery Tour in PortlandWe went on a tour of Portland's Top 3 Breweries, and it was the best thing about the trip. We had Peter as our guide, and he was amazing! He gave the deal about the different areas in Portland. Gave us great recommendations for the different beers and food to drink. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this group, and definitely ask for Peter.Written 18 November 2024

We did the Oregon Coast Tour from Portland by Oregon Tour Co. on May 31, 2024, a full day tour. It was an incredible and insightful experience. Our tour guide Mr. Peter knows his craft, really knowledgeable, my husband and I like him, friendly, he knows how to entertain the folks that visiting his place.
Regarding this tour "Oregon Coast Tour" - Trip to the northern Oregon beaches, this gives us the chance to:
1. Explore the beach and majestic Haystack Rock, the Haystack Rock is loaded with different seabirds, we loved it!
2. Have lunch in Cannon Beach and browse in the many quaint stores and shops.
3. Pass through a preserved old-growth forest on the way to Ecola state park and hike out to view the sea lions and seabirds.
4. Mr. Peter will bring you to the overlooking sight of the Pacific Ocean-what a view!
My husband and I did two full day tours with this company. Their tour package is also more competitive than the other tour company. Really recommended!

What a lovely experience! There were only 2 of us booked on the trip & Peter took us anyway (other places might have cancelled)! The day was drizzly, foggy, overcast so views were limited; Peter was very flexible about stopping where we wanted & even took us to Tillamook for an indoor activity: cheese-making tour (& cheese samples & ice cream)! He was so knowledgeable about 'everything': local history, nature, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our day!

Peter was awesome!!! We didn't have a car during our trip to Portland so this tour combined with the Columbia River Gorge tour gave us a really convenient way to get out of the city and see all the must-see sights. I think one of the best parts of the tour was definitely Peter's INSANE amount of knowledge on everything we saw on the tours from geography to history to botany to food science just to name a few. The tours brought back memories of going on school field trips in the best way possible especially the way he answered all our questions and had us hooked on his awesome storytelling skills. Not to mention his epic driving and parking skills navigating through all the tight highways and parking spaces. I would 100% recommend these tours to anyone visiting Portland whether its their first time trip or they're coming back and looking for a more in depth glimpse into all the area has to offer!

Oregon coast tour is a must if you are visiting Portland. We visited all the must-see viewpoints, and each one was even more beautiful than the last. The scenery was truly magical!
But what really made the trip special was our guide. Peter was friendly, flexible, and incredibly knowledgeable about the entire coast. You could tell he was passionate about the area and sharing its beauty with visitors. He made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Perfect day with a perfect guide - Peter was a consument host and guide acquainting us with the Oregon Coast. This tour is not just "see the coast and rush back" instead, we stopped at a local farmer's stand on the way to the coast and in the late afternoon we stopped at Tillamook Creamery to watch the cheese making process and treat ourselves to ice cream before the drive back to Portland. Peter has a great voice that makes it easy to hear even if sitting the back of the tour van. His narration offers great information about the landscape/wildlife, the history of the area, and tips for making the most of our lunch stop in Cannon Beach. He is attentive to guest needs and has an easy way of engaging with others but also gives time for folks to be by themselves. He is more than willing to take great photos so you are not stuck with just selfies. The van is super clean and comfortable. In addition to the Oregon Coast Tour we also booked the Willamette valley Winery tour and Peter explained the wine tour was the 1st fully booked tour since March 2020 (pre-pandemic) so as travel picks up in this beautiful part of the country - book now before they reach capacity!

We had a wonderful day! Even though the weather was not the best, Peter made the tour great. He is so knowledgeable about the history, area and culture of Portland and the coastal cities. We came from Florida not knowing much about Portland and are leaving with a deep appreciation of the region. Thank you Peter for a wonderful and enriching experience.

My girlfriends and I visited Portland, Oregon in May it was our first time. We booked our trip with Oregon Tour Co because we read all the positive reviews. Well, everybody was right. Peter was an excellent host. We lucked out because it was only us three on the tour, we felt pretty special :). Peter was attentive and well informed. He expressed his passion for his city and helped us view Oregon for all the beauty that it is. Thank you Peter for educating three NYC women about the wonders of Portland, Oregon.

Pete was fantastic! He spent extra time showing us some additional spots along the coast, including a historical site that my mom was particularly interested in. He was fun, full of interesting knowledge about the area, and flexible with our interests and abilities. This was a great way to learn more about the area beyond the city and see some beautiful natural areas.

Our 'fathers and Sons' trip to the coast was Amazing. Peter was an outstanding guide, knew everything about the area and showed us the great regional coast of Orgeon. After going on many trips and tours our family has never experienced something so remarkable as this tour. Again, our guide, Peter was a true 10/10. He hit all major spots on the coast some having breathtaking views. Even the smaller details such as lunch was quite delicious. Peter answered possibly every question that was thrown at him, was a safe driver and gave our family something to remember for a lifetime.

It's fun to do a tour when your guests are involved and ask well thought out questions. It lets me know I'm doing my job. All four of you were enthusiastic guests that added to the fun. I especially enjoyed your son's. Bright, conscientious gentlemen.
