We really enjoyed are 2 hour lunch cruise. The staff was very helpful the food was good and they had a piano player who took request and played pretty decently. Also they had a pretty stocked bar to to order drinks which we did and just had a great time... The only downside was was the drinks and and other additional food appetizers were not included in the cost and we're way over priced but all in all not a bad way to spend the afternoon

The crew was great. We were celebrating a birthday and our waitress even sang a special song. The meal was wonderful. This was a great way to see some views of the city. We also enjoyed going on the top deck after our meal to enjoy the sights and hear some history of the bridges.

It was my birthday and the trip was a present to my sis, niece, and my sis bestie. I traveled from California, They enjoyed it and so did I. The staff was professional, attentive, and acknowledged my birthday, It was a couple of other people's birthday as well. The food was ok too.

Include a fountain drink with the meal. They charge you 70 for the ticket trap you on a boat then inform you everything cost extra including a drink. Also was boring with no live entertainment and staff was overwhelmed.

Hi Ashley, I am very sorry to hear about your negative experience onboard. I have done some research into your specific cruise to make sure this does not happen again, your server was a brand new server, we are going to go through some more training to make sure we maintain our service standards. In comment to the price and additional addons, I would recommend you book directly through us next time as you will save some money. The live entertainment was removed due to covid and will be back as soon as our restrictions are lifted. Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback and we hope you decide to give us a second chance in the future.

Food was not good at all. I had the salmon. Barely touched it. My friend had the chicken. It was tasteless. Service was also bad. We were a party of 2. Staff spent all their time servicing large groups and ignoring us. With that said, the ride was nice. I enjoyed all the waterfront real estate. Great way to spend the day. Wish I could have done the cruise with no meal but it’s not offered until July. Be advised that the ship sails, rain or shine. No cancellation for rain. No refunds. It’s Portland and it always rains. Lol. I wanted to cancel when I realized it was raining all day but the cancellation fee was 100%!

I have to rate this as "average" because of several factors, none having to do with the crew or the boat. The weather pollution the day we took this were very bad due to the ongoing wildfires occurring in Oregon, California (drifting northward) and Washington. All of that combined to make a very foggy, unhealthy atmosphere not only to breathe but to see. The visibility was so low that the captain turned the cruise back before time, and the river views were limited at best. Also, the plated lunch was delightful but not enough. We ordered Steelhead (trout) which was delectable but a very small portion sitting atop a large bed of rice. There were some mixed vegs on the plate. I wanted more fish to eat, and we missed the warm bread altogether so I asked for that and had it after the meal. Any bar drink or soda was extra in price so I enjoyed one draft beer. Dessert was also extra. We did splurge on the $15 photo of the experience though. They billed the cost of the cruise and the bar tab (hubby had a couple) all at once so the preprogrammed tip on the receipt showed $33.00. That looked a little funny. I have honestly had better cruises but again, it's not anything against the crew or the wonderful lady who helped us get to the dock that day, since we were lost on the other side of the city.

The boarding process was easy. The ramp is very steep but there is plenty of help for those who have a hard time walking. Even the captain was out there wheeling a chair down the ramp. The restaurant is very nice. Service was great and I was solo. (Another review said they had bad service as a solo party.) The appetizers and drinks definitely aren’t cheap. My tab was $55 for two drinks and a shrimp cocktail. However, everything was delicious! I loved the pasta and veggies I ordered for my meal (included in the ticket price.) Once I finished eating, I took a coffee cocktail up to the top deck and the weather was fantastic for the cruise. The narration was good. Bridges are interesting. Views are outstanding. My only complaint/surprise was the recommended tip included the ticket price! I didn’t like that. Overall, I highly recommend this lunch cruise! A great way to spend a couple hours on the water, outside, filling your belly.

Such a great and relaxing way to see and learn about Portland. We started the outing with a window table for lunch. Wait service was perfect (thank you Max!!). Lunch was not the greatest, but everything else made up for it. After lunch we headed up to the deck and could hear the narration which was very informative. Highly recommend this outing, although next time I would probably forego the meal and just do the Happy Hour cruise.

Thank you for your detailed review of our 2-hour lunch cruise! We're delighted that you found it to be a great and relaxing way to explore Portland. It's also wonderful to hear that Max provided excellent service, and that you enjoyed the informative narration from the deck. We appreciate your feedback on the food you ordered. While we're glad the other aspects of the cruise made up for it, we'll certainly take your comments into consideration as we continually strive to improve our offerings. If you have any specifics about the entrée you ordered, we would love to hear it as we often make updates to our offerings based on guest feedback. Regarding your interest in trying the Happy Hour cruise next time, we wanted to let you know that we also offer a sightseeing-only option for the full 2-hour cruise when you book direct on our website (portlandspirit.com). The Happy Hour cruise is shorter at 1.5 hours, so the sightseeing-only option on the lunch cruise could be an excellent alternative. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.

We took the cruise on July 3rd. Everything was well organized.Seating was assigned.
They had a beer and wine list you could order from. The food was quite good, did not expect a five star restaurant. Staff was super friendly. The cruise covers more of the upstream part of the river. We saw Downtown only at the end. They can’t sail to the port because they will not raise the bridge for the boat. We would have liked a little bit more commentary and information. Still, we enjoyed the cruise very much and can only recommend it.

Thank you for the wonderful review Martin, I will pass your comment onto the captain. Come back soon! Don't forget to check out the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler in Cascade Locks, Oregon.

Wait staff was excellent, everyone was courteous , the captain met you when you boarded and when you unbordered, piano player was good, food was ok, but… They had the audacity to make the suggested tip amount, predicated on the entire experience. In other words I was going to have to tip the waiter for my boat ride payment. We spent $100 on appetizers and drinks. I tipped 50% on that amount, because I had to consider the meal in addition to that. But really, trying to slip in the $400 for the cost of our boat ride, in the tip consideration, was a bit much.
