Meet your guide at your hotel in the downtown Portland area prior to a 2 p.m. departure (exact time to be advised upon reconfirmation). Board your vehicle with a group of at most 14 people on this small-group tour and head to the Historic Columbia River Highway Scenic Byway.
Wind past grand basalt cliffs and lush groves of evergreens en route to waterfalls like Multnomah Falls and Horsetail Falls. Stop to catch a panoramic view of the Columbia River from Crown Point Vista, the most popular scenic lookout along the highway, and then continue to Latourell Falls, notable for the bright yellow lichen shrouding the rock behind the 249-foot (75-meter) cascade. Return to the car for a short drive to Bridal Veil Falls, and then stretch your legs on a half-mile (.8 kilometer) hike to the base of this double fall, which is rarely visited by tourists.
Following an adventure-packed afternoon, return to Portland, where you will be dropped off at the Portland Spirit for a 2-hour dinner cruise on the Willamette River. See the city lights sparkle along the riverfront and enjoy live music and performances as you indulge in a locally sourced meal freshly prepared on board. Your dinner will include your selected entrée in addition to a house salad, bread, and a beverage, followed by dessert served with coffee or tea.
After dinner transportation to hotel not included.
