- pluethi0 contributionsFantastic time with Muleye in Lalibela and the Danakil DepressionWe spent 4 nights in Lalībela. Muleye showed and explained everything about the rock churches and we also hiked to the nearby monastry. Muleyes knowledge and the passion for the churches is really great and it‘s a pleasure to listen when he explains history and actual behaviors. A real highlight was the cooking evening together with his family. From Lalibela we went to visit Erta Ale and the Danakil Depression. Also here we had a fantastic time with Muleye and enjoyed the unbelievable colors and the active vulcano. We highly recommand Muleye and his company and Hope to come back soon.Written 6 December 2024

- piotrwA7952UU0 contributionsI highly recommendMy wife and I were on an individual trip organized for us by Zagol Ethiopia Tours. We sent them a list of places we wanted to visit and the owner of the office took care of everything. Starting from booking flights to Ethiopia, booking hotels, to airport transfers and professional guides in each of the places we visited. I can safely recommend the services of Zagol E T. Full professionalism, flexibility, and even help in buying valuable souvenirs. We already have plans to repeat the trip to Ethiopia with this office, but to other regions that we did not have time to visit during this trip.Written 1 November 2024

- DubaiDXB0 contributionsUnbelievable Lalibela with expert guideWe spent an amazing few days in Lalībela with Muluye from Zagol Ethiopian Tours during which we were lucky enough to see the absolutely wonderful Timkat ceremonies and the unbelievable rock hewn churches. The 8 rock hewn churches and 2 rock hewn palaces in Lalibela are UNESCO World Heritage sites and Muluye expertly guided us through all the churches and shared his incredible knowledge of these wonders of the world. Our visit was timed to co-incide with Timkat, Ethiopia’s Feast of the Epiphany, which is one of the highest and holiest holidays in the Ethiopian Orthodox Christian calendar. We were able to enjoy the very best of Timkat with Muluye’s thorough knowledge of the ceremonies and the best vantage points to witness the colorful, enthusiastic and awe-inspiring processions of the three day festival. We would highly recommend Muluye and Zagol Ethiopian Tours. We hope to use their services again to see more of Ethiopia in the future.Written 3 February 2024
- FlatusVocis0 contributionsVisit to LalibelaWhen you get Mulie Zagol as a guide, it is like getting a best friend for the next few days. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable about Lalibela, he is a great person to get to know, to talk with and relax with. We hiked together, watched the sunset together, ate together, had coffee together etc. Everything was taken care of by Mulie so the sightseeing was seamless and enjoyable. Next time I come to Ethiopia, I will definitely utilize him for a tour.Written 9 December 2023

- kiviad20220 contributionsGetting to know Lalibela and the Ethiopian cultureA friend and I spent one week in Lalibela during our vacations to relax and get to know a bit of the Ethiopian culture. This beautiful city has a very long history and is surrounded by endless mountains. Muluye was our guide and made us feel at home there. He thoughted us a lot about the traditions of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and took us to amazing hiking tours with breath-taking views and the company of well-behaved baboons. In the end of our stay we also had a cooking class with his wife and learned to prepare delicious Ethiopian food. Last but not least, he supported us during the rest of our stay in Ethiopia by co-organizing a tour for the Danakil desert (another unforgettable experience in this country) and giving us tips on places to visit. If you are looking for a tour agency while visiting Ethiopia, I totally recommend the Zagol Ethiopia Tours.Written 29 May 2023

Hello I would like to recommend the guide services offered by the Zongole agency. The owner is an extremely nice, helpful and well-organized person. I was impressed by his knowledge and knowledge of the history of architecture and monuments in Lalibela. It is very rare to meet such competent people. I hope that I will visit Lalibela again and have the opportunity to listen to stories about this extremely interesting place in the unique country of Ethiopia.

My days in Lalibela were unforgettable. The experience with Zagol tours was perfect. The guide and the planning of my stay were ideal. Visiting the best places in Lalibela together with Muluye, a great guide, experienced, friendly and knowledgeable about all the secrets hidden in the wonderful city of Lalibela. It's a pity I didn't have more days in Lalibela, I would have planned to visit other hundreds of incredible places in this part of the country. I would definitely do it again with Zagol. It was a unique experience.

In Ethiopia we went to Lalibela where Muluye Tsegaw of Zagol Tours was our guide to the magnificent rock churches of the town. Muluye has deep knowledge of the history of the town and of the churches, and he added enormously to our appreciation of the religion and history that inspired these unique churches. Without him our understanding of the significance of the churches would have been so much less. Thank you Muluye.

An unforgetable trip with the best guide, Muluye.
We visited the churches in Lalibela, the Yemrehana Kristos Church and i can say that Muluye is a walking encyclopedia. He knew everything about these churches, even details pertaining the history of the Orthodox Church in Ethiopia.
He did everything in his power to make our stay a wonderful experience. If you have time, visiting the Danakil desert is also a must.
As we were visiting Ethiopia for Easter, we also enjoyed a traditional lunch in Muluye's home, where his beautiful wife performed the coffee ritual.
The accomodation in Lalibela was at the Sora Lodge, a traditional place, clean, with a great scenery and very nice staff.
Thank you for everything!
