    Very Enjoyable!
We enjoyed the Ithaca is for foodies’ tour…very pleasurable. Our tour had an educational component on the sense of taste. Pace was relaxed. Company pleasant. The staff at each stop was friendly and knowledgeable. Tour guide as well versed in the subject manner. We hope to enjoy another tour in future.

    Delicious and Informative tour!
Our tour guide, Sara, was very knowledgeable on the area, and the food scene in Ithaca. She also taught us about the science of taste vs flavor and what molecules actually cause this taste to occur. It was a very informative tour and it included samples of food from 5 different restaurants. We tried foods that we may not have tried other wise, but ended up loving! Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend.

    First timers, 2 thumbs up!
My hubby and I were celebrating our anniversary and wanted something unique and our of the ordinary to do. Our group consisted of 13 people from all over the country, and a very knowledgeable tour guide, Kathy. It was a pleasant and educational way to spend an afternoon and we both thought the food was very good. Our favs were the hand pies (small, flaky and comforting) and the cheese cake with port wine at the end. We highly recommend :)

Good selection of local eateries and excellent local guide.
Our group consisted of 4 Ithacans and 3 Floridians. The food stops were varied and enjoyable. Our guide Kathy was knowledgeable about the local history and land marks. Well done.

nice door but food selection could be better
we've now attended several food tours with Ithaca being the latest. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable of local history. I was a little disappointed in the overall selections of restaurants to highlight. While one of the advantages of these food tours is to sample cuisine you might not normally experience(for example on this tour Etheopion and Vegan), other food tours still maintained a balance with some traditional American cuisine. Also, while this was similar to another food tour we took, I dont think stopping at an Oil and Vinegar shop should really be counted as a food tasting stop. However, the stop to sample "hand pies" was amazing!

Had a nice tour of downtown Ithaca with pleasant guide(thanks Cathy!) Moosewood highlights: mushroom spinach soup with Chardonnay! Momma Said Hand Pies genius! F Oliver’s oil and balsamic: different, delicious and dreamy new tastes! Ten Forward Cafe: shake and sandwich taste like nothing else! Delicious and guilt free! Hawi new different and oh so good Ethiopian food! Last but certainly not least Monks on the Common cheese cake and port. A touch of heaven!

    A-PLUS!
While trying to duplicate a shake today that I had on the Ithaca Is Foodies tour last week, I realized that I had neglected to post a review, so here it is. We signed up for our first ever food tour in Ithaca. We expected tastings in restaurants, but we were surprised and pleased at the added history and other tips and tidbits about the city that we received along the way from our gracious native guide, Sarah. ALL of the food was good to great and I would definitely recommend this tour to locals and tourists alike. Bon appetit!

    Compliments to the Chef!
Food tours are a good way to experience a new city and eat like a local. Sarah was a great guide and gave us interesting facts about the city, its murals, and restaurants. The tour gave me an opportunity to try foods that I normally don't eat (vegan, Ethiopian), and I genuinely liked everything that I ate.

    Highlight of Weekend Stay!
My cousin and I took the Ithaca Downtown Foodie Tour on Saturday, August 10th with Sarah. It was amazing, we loved all the places we visited. Something to please everyone (meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans). Sarah also gave a lot of interesting facts about Ithaca along the way. She was a wonderful guide. This tour was definitely a highlight of our stay in Ithaca! We even went back to some of the restaurants on the tour such as Moosewood. They even give you discount coupons for use after the tour!

    Great tour!
Our family really enjoyed the experience. Sarah did a good job balancing interesting facts about Ithaca and great tasting food. The mixture of food types (including tasty vegan) was excellent.

    Wealth of Knowledge
Cathy was our guide for the Ithaca Food Tour. We enjoyed many cuisines that we have been wanting to try, like Ethiopian. Cathy was quite knowledgeable about the different historic sites around Ithaca, delving into both art and architecture. All participants in the group were treated to scrumptious foods and tastes we had not experienced before. The host restaurant owners were eager to answer questions, and were delighted to accommodate our group. We highly recommend this tour to others visiting Ithaca!

    Fun times for locals too!
We received a gift certificate for the Science of Food tour. Even though we live locally, we had not been to some of the establishments. We learned, we ate, we drank, we walked and had a very enjoyable afternoon. Highly recommend the food tours as something different to do- with or without out-of-town visitors.

This is a fun tour and great way to get to know a little more about Ithaca. We live here in Ithaca and we’re still introduced to a couple new and unique restaurants and learned some fun history about our city.

Sarah is sweet and full of info on the history of craft beer, cocktails and the Ithaca restaurant and bar scene. I was visiting with my daughter who is attending vet school here and we discovered some new little gems we had not been to before. We had a fun afternoon and look forward to trying one of the other tours they offer next time.
