Definitely this the the best tour company if interested on off site excursions, just went to a raft tour of the Hoover Dam on the Colorado river, highly recommend it, they also provide bottle water, snacks, fruits.Written 11 November 2024
- 691melak0 contributionsGreat TourA very well planned tour with more than enough time to see everything. Milton, our driver, was wonderful. He shared so many tidbits of information regarding the dam, canyon and Native Americans. Milton was a fantastic tour guide with a great sense of humor. I gave the trip a 4 only due to the fact our bus broke down at the edge of the city. We were fortunate to find an Uber to get back to our car but this added time and expense to the overall outing. This is in no way reflective of Milton. Overall, well priced and we will use this company again!Written 11 November 2024

We used National Park Express for a tour of the Hoover Dam in April and were terribly disappointed. We were dropped off at the main Hoover Dam site and told "YOU HAVE 20 MINUTES". Not enough time to look in the gift shop or even use the restrooms if you wanted to see the actual Hoover Dam. And then, we were supposed to be able to sightsee in Boulder City but the bus driver simply stopped and then asked if we wanted to just go back to the strip..and of course, a few of the riders spoke up and yelled to just go back to the strip (which of course, is what the bus driver did). WORST tour ever. I would think that since this was a Hoover Dam tour that you would at least get to spend some time at the Hoover Dam. I would not recommend this tour to anybody, unless you are happy with paying for a tour that gives you 20 minutes at the main part of the Dam just to be rushed back to the strip.

We booked our reservation for the Hoover Dam Highlights tour with our Go Pass. I did this tour in 2019 and had such an amazing experience however, this time around our tour was average at best and that is being generous. In 2019, we were able to get out and walk across the dam and even grab lunch. This time, we got out to see the Hoover Dam from the Patt-Tillman Bridge for 30 minutes. We then were given just a couple of minutes to snap a couple of pictures of the Hoover Damn from the Arizona side. Our tour guide, Ronnie, then drove us back to Lake Mead visitor center to use the bathroom before dropping us back off at our hotel. The silence as we drove past the visitor center was deafening through the entire jam packed bus. We asked him why we were not allowed to enter the Hoover Dam Museum as it was included in our tour and he stated that the Hoover Dam was closed due to Covid despite the doors being wide open to the cafe with people coming and going. He then came back and said that this was more of a “helicopter tour” of the Hoover Dam. He was obviously bothered that we questioned him on why he didn’t stop at the actual Hoover Dam museum and very smug about showing us some “icing on the cake” which turned out to be back big horned rams… would not recommend. We spent more time picking people up and dropping him off than visiting the Hoover Dam. We had to rent a car to come back and actually visit the Hoover Dam. Maybe the description of what’s actually included in this tour should be updated so it doesn’t disappoint anyone else.

The dam is impressive, but the tour guide was very difficult to hear over the loud bus engine and difficult understand with a thick accent and broken English, so the entire ride was a frustrating exercise in trying to decipher what he was saying. So... not so much a "tour" as a noisy bus ride. It would have been much cheaper, and far more informative, to rent a car and simply read a book about the history of Hoover Dam. Further, at each stop, he "held us hostage" on the bus, blathering on about who knows what, so that our time at each stop (especially Boulder City and the first stop at the dam itself) was frustratingly short (barely 15 minutes when we were expecting 30). To top it all off, we left Vegas half an hour late, so our stops were cut even shorter. Really disappointing.

Through GoCity, we did not have the detailed schedule, but we thought we'd be back in Las Vegas around 2:00. We got back to the first hotel stop at 3:00, which was not our original stop, but we were desperate to get off the bus. Our tour driver was rude and full of herself. My friend and I were speaking quietly to each other when the tour began and were chastised for speaking while she was speaking. She freely expressed her opinion about non-tour related topics over the speaker system and put down some celebrities while pointing out their supposed houses. She also claimed the bridge was about 600 MILES long (she gave a more "exact" number like 597), when it is about 600 METERS long. Our ride was full of her spouting off information--only some of which was correct (we started googling what she was saying). We were not allowed to converse with each other and we didn't want to listen to her constant prattle, so we put in headphones and read books. We know we may have missed something important, but we didn't trust what the driver was saying enough to worry about missing information.
On a final note, the bus was hot; when we asked to turn the air up, she said it was as cool as she could make it. It was only in the 50s outside, but we were sweating in the bus.
It could have been a better tour with a different driver and having known the full schedule. We also were disappointed to not be able to spend time at the actual dam. We didn't feel we had enough time anywhere to learn anything.

Pasquale is an EXCELLENT guide!!! He took us to see the Hoover Dam and Lake Meade, stopped for us to have a great lunch and tour the Dam museum. He then stopped for us to see the Big horn sheep that roam the park near Lake Meade!!! Pasquale took pictures of everyone at the Dam with their phones. All of the little extras made the trip so worth it!!! I'd definitely recommend going if he's your guide!!

Tony did a great job of explaining the Hoover Dam and surrounding area’s history. The tour is longer (about 4.5 hours), so be prepared with plenty of snacks or a meal. They did offer water for the trip & provided spots to stop & get snacks. Highly recommend as part of the Go City pass!

Our tour guide Pasquale, was excellent! Very insightful, funny, and a great personality! Very personable and easy to talk to. He also volunteers to take an amazing photo op on the bridge of the Hoover Dam! 100/100 recommend! The trip itself is breathtaking from all the views you see along the way and Boulder City is a cool area. You appreciate its history and meaning after watching the documentary provided on the way to the Dam.

We felt so lucky to have Tony as our tour guide. He’s knowledgeable about all things in this area; he is a great leader and very friendly.
He made extra stops on our tour because, as he put it, we deserved to see everything. Yes, the tour took 45 minutes longer than expected, but we were grateful.
We stopped at the bridge, the lake, the Hoover Dam gift shop in Arizona, the visitor’s center and national park gift shop, and again in the city of Boulder to see the museum and look around the local shops.
He told us all what time to be back on the bus and off we went! We really appreciated the extra experiences he made time for. Tony takes great pride in his job & you will be in good hands on his bus.
Please note: this tour does not include a stop to walk out onto the dam. We drove through it to take photos and then drove back through the opposite way. So be prepared for many many beautiful photo ops, but know that you won’t get a photo of you standing on the dam.

Our driver, Judy was pleasant, and got us there and back safely. We opted for the tour of the dam and highly recommend it. Judy did not tell us when to return to the bus after the tour, so many of us waited near the parking area for over an hour, afraid of missing the bus. We did not stop in Boulder City, and there was little tour guiding throughout the trip. We were not offered water or a granola bar.
