I have seen numerous Cirque Du Soleil performances and copycat productions as they toured the country and performed in a city near my home but had never seen a performance in a theatre designed specifically for Cirque Du Soleil. I actually hesitated to purchase tickets, thinking that I had seen acrobatic performances before, and I might be better off seeing a different type of theatre production while visiting Vegas. We stayed in Vegas, four nights and saw a different type of production each night, Mystere had the largest “WOW” factor of any of the performances (also the most expensive)

I usually try to get tickets in the highest price range (closest to the stage). By the time I purchased the tickets, this price range was no longer available. After seeing the show, I would still probably abide by this philosophy but having tickets further away from the stage for Mystere has advantages. You have performers descending from the ceiling, actually behind the expensive seats. In addition the first aerial performance has two performers swinging on ropes far above the audience (and way past the expensive seats) in graceful arcs. Being further back provide a great sight line of the side walls where performers scaled down the vertical face before they reached the stage for another act.

All of the acts were remarkable and it would be very challenging or impossible to select an act as being the best. The transitions between acts were fast and smooth.

Perhaps the factor that made this performance special when compared to previous shows that I had witnessed was the stage. Different sections of the stage can rise and fall, while the front portion of the stage has two areas that rotate.

Note – I had wanted to see Cirque Du Soleil “O” due to the unique water feature of the show, but “O” was not performing during our stay and we were both very happy with the entertainment and WOW supplied by Mystere.

Our third Cirque du Soleil show, and it did not disappoint on the performance level or acrobatics. The stage settings were very dynamic and surprisingly good. Costumes, an A+++++++. The character of the Professor provided great comic relief, and we thoroughly enjoyed his antics. The band - well, kudos to them; they went non-stop through the entire performance and were phenomenal. Fantastic job!
So, you ask why is my rating one star short? We listened to coos and gasps and grunts for quite a while before the show began, and the only thing to tell us that babies were involved were the two strollers on stage. Without them we'd have thought the mic was active in a private room in the strip parlor down the street. The babies did lead into the story line, although it was very muddied at times during the show.
Would I go see the show again? Absolutely.

This show never ceases to amaze. An absolutely brilliant performance and a joy to watch despite its long running history at Treasure Island. Somehow they still manage to make it look fresh and new. Other shows on the strip, old or new, could take some lessons from this group. I highly recommend this show to anyone wanting to see a show, even if it’s been seen before.

My husband and I really wanted to see a Cirque du Soleil show and booked a last minute one. There are so many that you do rely on reviews! This seemed to have quite a lot of good reviews and had tickets available for the next day. First of all, all seats are good seats. The stage is so big and performers all over that you can sit anywhere and enjoy. We paid $86 pp and with fees it ended up being around €100pp. This is A LOT of money and so you expect the show to be the best thing ever. The acrobats are amazing to watch and did not disappoint, however the storyline (which I have read in other reviews and kinda ignored) was awful…. Well there wasn’t a story line! It was random and weird and not in English and actually made the show so boring! We actually feel ripped off for paying so much money and coming away wishing we had maybe paid more money for a different show. It’s such a shame because the aspect of the show you go for is the acrobats but my review has been tainted by how boring and odd the rest of it was.

I've seen 4 Cirque du Soleil shows: Ka, Zumanity, Mystere, and Love. Ka was by far the best; Love the worst (lots of drunken baby boomers singing along off key). This was my second time seeing Mystere and the performance didn't let me down. The theater is small, so there's not a bad seat in the house. Other reviewers have complained about the lack of story, but that doesn't bother me. I appreciate the eye-catching costumes and amazing acrobatics. The big baby is a funny diversion along with the guy who pretends to show people to their seats and balances popcorn containers on guests' heads. But they don't seem all that essential to the show. The aerial feats are simply astounding and worth the price of admission.

The only downside was the lax enforcement of the audience requirement to mask up (per state of Nevada policy). Nearly all the performers wore masks as well as all of the staff. Too many (I'd estimate 20-25%) of the audience wore their masks into the theater and then promptly took them off as soon as they sat down (including the couple seated in front of us, who also spent at least half the show recording the performance on their phones instead of actually watching it). I asked one of the staff about it and she told me they only said something if an audience member complained. With the delta variant driving up infection rates, Treasure Island should enforce the state's requirement to wear a mask in indoor public spaces.

The show was fantastic & had some amazing acts especially 2 performers who do a balancing act. The "baby" (clown) was so funny. We bought our tickets the day of the show at the Treasure Island box office & were able to get a military discount plus pick out our seats. So glad we could do that.

We bought tickets for the show because behind LOVE (which we already saw), Mystere was rated very highly for the acrobatics. After viewing the show, it was apparent that the acrobatics was only a small sliver of the overall performance. Most of the show was either silly opening antics to pass time or random creatures dancing around in a circle. The pre-show with the guy with the popcorn was most entertaining. The show opening with the “baby” was awkward and uncomfortable and didn’t relate to the overall theme. We kept waiting for the acrobatics to begin instead of watching 10 min of “baby” antics. This is not what we thought we signed up to see. My favorite act was the 2 incredibly strong women and the couple that was flying over our head. We really liked those 2 acts but the rest wasn’t worth the $72 ticket (each) we paid.

Having seen different Cirque du Soleil shows in London, we looked forward to this. The Treasure Island hotel website was offering 50% off tickets for shows during February which made it more affordable.

Now for all the moaning reviews, this is a silly story with the focus on the skilled acrobats. My kids and I personally found the warm up 20 mins before the show started hilarious, what's not to love, laughing at other guests interacting with a clown playing pranks on them. Lighten up a little people, it's only popcorn and everyone was laughing and clapping.

This is not a show that you want seats at the front or you will miss acrobats up above and behind you. We were in the middle, half way back, perfect.

The theme is bonkers but funny. No real story, but I have seen Ovo and Totem and there is no story there either. We loved all the skill mixes. We did no see anyone walk out, people stood at the end to clap. It was a great way to spend an evening at a lot cheaper price than many other Vegas shows.

My kids loved it. You can take your own drink and food in. You do not need to arrive super early and queue to get in, like many did. Doors opened at 6.30pm for the 7pm show and the warm up started soon after we were seated.

There is a lovely frozen yoghurt and ice cream parlour next to the theatre doors for a treat before or afterwards.

Over the last two decades, we have seen about 10 different Cirque du Soleil productions. We first saw Mystere 23 years ago and, during this quick trip to Las Vegas, we decided it was time to revisit it.
To my surprise, I enjoyed it even more than the first time. Some of the acts are updated and they feel fresh and full of energy. The entire show is a burst of color, energy, and positive vibes. If you have never seen it, you should. If you saw it in the past, maybe you should see it again.

The show was good, but I feel that it was a bit outdated. The tricks were amazing (especially the acrobats and tricks on the pole). The costumes were really interesting and added a bit of illusion to the story. I have to say, I have seen a Cirque years ago (about 10 years ago) and it was good, but now it is surprising that they have not updated it since (the baby story line is just annoying in all honesty and doesn't work in 2021).
Kids of all ages are ok to see it, but the hefty price tag is not really warranted until they update the show.
