The High Roller was great, and would definitely recommend doing it at night when all the lights of the city are on and not during the day. Similar pricing to most other attractions in Vegas, which are a little high (with a captive audience things could be cheaper), but this one is definitely worth it.
Avoid using the kiosk to purchase tickets if you can and the line at the box office isn't too long. The screen is quite dirty and takes a lot to work properly. The online ticket purchases are also confusing to work out if you're trying to purchase both adult and youth tickets.

We had booked tickets in advance which I would recommend as you then jump the entrance queue and go straight through security etc. There is the usual green screen souvenir photo op on the way in which was grossly overpriced with very rigid pricing options hence most people declining to purchase them ($28 dollars for one picture or $60 for five take it or leave it! 🤯🤷🏼‍♂️) Anyway you’ll see what I mean! 🤣🤣

The staff were all friendly and efficient and access to the pod and disembarkation was all very smooth. Our pod had 8 people in it which was perfect for loving about and taking pictures from different angles. I am unsure how many they would squeeze in during very busy periods but I’d say it would comfortably take a dozen guests with tons of access to various windows and vantage points.

The wheel moves comfortably slow and in practice our rotation was all but half an hour. You can take alcoholics drinks on board too as we had vodka slushies to steady the nerves lol 😂

There are various screens for facts and figures and entertaining commentary about what you are looking at. If you’re lucky you’ll also catch the Bellagio fountains display too but it’s pretty distant. The wheel does go very high so if like me you’re not a great lover of heights be prepared with some Dutch courage before you board 🤣

I mean it’s a large observation wheel so it is what it is but it was a fair price overall for admission and it had great views of Vegas and the surrounding area. I liked it, it was fun! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I think the high roller is something everyone has to try once. The views are wonderful and it's something different than what you usually do. However, I would say that it's one of those things that you will probably only do once. While it's cool, it would be hard to justify spending the money for it over and over and over again.

We had pre-purchased our tickets through a travel benefits site. We were told at the time that we would be able to upgrade to the happy half hour when we arrived at the attraction. We found our way up to the platform having asked several people along the way to confirm that we could upgrade our tickets. Once we arrived at the front of the line, we were informed that their tablet was having issues and they would not be able to upgrade us to the happy half hour. We could go downstairs and wait in the entire line to upgrade our tickets there, but we decided to ride without the upgrade instead.

The ride was fine, but we had been talking about the happy half hour for months as we wanted to see If it was possible to get our money's worth. It was a relaxing half hour with some good photo chances, but we were a little let down.

We left here and went to the Strat tower where for a similar price you can get spectacular views as well.

Paid for the inclusive bar for the 30 minute trip. Was a bit worried when about 15 people all wanted serving as soon as we got on, BUT Cheryl was/is AMAZING. I swear to god I’ve never seen anyone take so many drink orders and serve that many drinks in what seemed about 3 minutes.
She was fantastic.

Ever so slight negative, when I’d booked (on Ticketmaster) it wasn’t overly clear that you can just rock up at whatever time you want, TBH at 8pm there wasn’t a queue and there was no worries.
Ace.

My wife and I purchased tickets ahead of time online, which I highly recommend. It likely saved us at least 30 minutes or more in line around 8:30-9:00. The views from the top are also incredible. The problem is that they cram a bunch of people on there with you and now you're subjected to the annoyances of whoever you're with for 30 minutes. For us, they put perhaps the two worst parents in Las Vegas with us while their baby cried the entire time and their toddler threw things around the cabin. Needless to say, our experience was a bit ruined by it all. They should put families in their own cabin to prevent this from happening.

I have to say that my friend and I lucked out, no crowds, no line, easy check-in and we got a whole pod with only one other couple to ourselves (pods are big). I had made reservations well in advanced on a Monday, open time slot (hoping less crowds on a weekday). I did not opt for a bar pod, as I knew we were going right to dinner after.

We wanted to see the sunset. We got there around 7:00 p.m. A little confusing to find the entrance with a prepaid ticket already, but we finally found it, checked in, went to the platform and was directed to a slot to wait for the pods to come down, and the doors to open while still moving and walk on. The trip takes about 1/2 hour and you can see a 360 view of Las Vegas.

It was nice and well worth only because we had no lines/crowds while watching the sunset in practically our own pod.

We ordered our tickets online and decided against the Happy Hour ride since drinks were allowed to be brought on. The difference in cost was equivalent to two drinks per person. I didn't think that would be feasible for a 28 minute ride. It also meant we could decide last minute what time we wanted to go. They sell drinks right before you board so that worked out great. There were only seven of us in the ride and it was very comfortable! We went around 10pm on a Tuesday and it wasn't crowded. Great views of Vegas at night.

Don’t use the outside kiosk for tickets. We attempted to purchase our tickets at the kiosk and it malfunctioned and gave us someone else’s tickets. The employees at the ticket counter were extremely slow to figure out how to get us the tickets we paid for even though the other two couples with the exact same kiosk problem were helped promptly. After waiting for over 30 minutes for the tickets we had already purchased to be printed our entire party was tired, discouraged, upset and so we chose not to go. We were there to celebrate my niece’s birthday, it was an awful customer service nightmare! My whole party was so sad and disappointed tonight I will never recommend this place to anyone.

This is okay to do once while in Vegas but not something you would want to do multiple times. It was a little boring at times for me as an adult and definitely boring for younger children after the first five minutes. We listened to children in our pod constantly ask, how much longer before we can get off?

Do this at night so you can see the lights of Vegas. We purchased our tickets onsite and walked right in. I know you can find discount tickets but all the fine print stated the ticket had to be used between 2pm-7pm. Well before it gets dark! If you purchase a discount ticket, be aware that you have to stand in a separate line to enter. That line wasn't long, (guessing a 15-20 minute wait) but it wasn't walk right on like our ticket allowed.

The inside of the pod was clean but the outside of the pod window was really dirty. It sprinkled earlier in the day and the dirt and residue on the windows made it hard to get a good picture.

I bought tickets from the kiosk prior to opening so that we were ready to go for opening. Unfortunately despite the transaction going through and being confirmed on the screen of the kiosk the tickets and receipt never printed. I took a photo of the screen using my phone including price paid, confirmation number and tickets purchased.

Once open we got in the queue and explained our issue to a member of security who assured us that the Box Office would be able to print off our tickets. We stood in the queue waiting approximately 25-30 mins and when we got to the front of the queue we went to the box office and was told despite having the cpnfirmation number we would have to be refunded and purchase the tickets again. I do not really understand this as I could prove they had been purchased, they could prove they had been purchased as once I provided the last 4 digits of my card they found the tansaction so why could the tickets not be printed???
At this point I was not prepared to pay again as this was no fault of ours so requested a refunded which was processed, I have been advised it will take 7 to 10 business days to hit my account...........incredible!
We have been on the High Roller before on a previous trip and enjoyed it which was why we booked again but won't be doing it on future trips after this fiasco.
