We all have our must visit places and well like most places the Grand Canyon was on my list.
I'm so glad I booked this tour. With this being a long journey you get a short drop off at the Hoover Dam and another smallish town. I'd recommend paying the little extra for the guided tour, this way you find the best spots to take the photos and all your questions answered.
The staff were both brilliant. They gave all the visitors clear instructions of where and when to meet for the travel back. One visitor did go missing, how ever the tour guide really went out of her way, acting professionally and calmly find the missing person. While this did delay the trip by a while it was not at all the driver or tour guides fault who took every possible action to find where the missing person was.

Never been to Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon so it was nice to see them both in a day. For much less than you would spend in the casino in a couple hours you can visit these sites and get some fresh air while doing so. This is a top notch operation and they truly care about the customer experience and the quality of their product. For $125 we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, we received a breakfast snack, box lunch, bottled water, park pass, and a guided tour. It was great riding in the bus as you had a view that you would not have from your car, and you don’t have to drive! The only negative is that it is a VERY long day, so be prepared.

My husband and I have wanted to see the Grand Canyon since we were children and decided to book this tour when were visiting Vegas. First, a huge shout out to Renee, our tour guide, and George our bus driver! They were phenomenal and very organized! They made the very long day interesting and worth the long drive. Our first stop was at Lake Mead just for bathroom and pictures. The lake is gorgeous! Next, we drove through the Hoover Dam and stopped at a scenic overlook to take pictures. Renee was full of information about the Dam and was very informative! The Dam is very impressive and quite a sight to see! George even took the time to slow down and let us see it in all its grandeur at night on the way back to Vegas! Next up we stop in a small town on route 66 with really cool things to see! We were served a delicious box sandwich lunch on the bus for the remainer of the ride. Also, Renee put in informational DVD on the TV to learn about the Dam, Route 66, and The Grand Canyon which was really nice because we got a lot more history of the places! Upon arrival you could decide to walk about 2.5 miles along the rim (with the guide for an additional $20), by yourself or simply go to the South Rim and explore by the Bright Angel Lounge. We decided to skip the walk and went to the South Rim. It was breathtaking! Words can not describe how it looks in person instead of on TV. It is absolutely a must see if you can manage it! We had about 3 hours to just explore the area and we were never bored! There is a restaurant to grab drinks and food if you want and a small museum to look around. After leaving we stopped about 90 minutes from Vegas to grab dinner. You could choose In N Out Burger or Chipotle to eat on the bus. The day was long (6:30 am pick up and 9 pm drop off) but very worth it to see this beautiful place made by mother nature! Renee even played funny movies on the way back which was a bonus on a long ride to have some entertainment. We really think that Renee and George made the trip because I could see how having a guide who didn't do a great job could make your trip miserable! So if you can request Renee she was amazing! We've been on tours all over the world and she was top notch!
TIPS: If it is between October and March take at the very least a sweatshirt or two or maybe a jacket and gloves. It is very chilly up there! Pack a few snacks so you don't get hungry! Sit towards the front of the bus as you get off first (we were in the very first seat and loved the views). Take cash for tipping as the driver and guide deserved it for their work!

Fabulous once in a lifetime experience with a well experienced company only let down by the comfort of the transport. Our guide and driver both did their upmost to make the day enjoyable, ensuring all stops were informative and memorable.
We stopped off on route to Grand Canyon at Hoover Damm and Seligman on Route 66, each a short 15 minute stop, giving us chance to take in the sights (however not allowing enough time to purchase items from the gift shop - a little longer would have been great!) On the return journey we stopped at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant, where we were able to purchase an enjoyable meal. Throughout the day we were provided with food including a breakfast pastry, sandwich lunch box, nutrigrain bars and bottles of water which although under normal circumstances would be sufficient but due to the early start and length of day i was grateful for the american sized breakfast pecan pastry and chocolate bar i had also taken with me!
Overall the day was an unforgettable experience with the pinnacle of the day being the unbelievable views of the Grand Canyon. My only complaint would be the lack of room on the coach. I class myself as not being particularly short or tall, being a 5'7" lady, but i was unable to sit comfortably due to seats on the coach being so close together and the added foot rests which folded upwards and therefore encroached on the space available. Unfortunately this did make the day less enjoyable as the 6 hours it took to get to Grand Canyon and 4 hours it took for the return journey were most uncomfortable.

We started the day with much excitment. The tour bus and guide arrived late and didn't message us for a heads up. Once they arrived they quickly boarded us but the guide did not follow any covid protocol as the site mentioned it would. She did not check for vaccines or proof of negative test. This was upsetting as it was one of my reasons for choosing the tour they seemed like they were doing their due diligence to keep everyone safe. After we boarded our guide requested that people keep in their masks, then quickly explained the days plan and we discovered that we were not visiting the caverns as stated on the site. There was no explanation for this change though I suspected covid regulations. Our guide did not enforce masks not once on the bus trip- to or from. People were coughing loudly and while she her self didn't take her mask down she did not remind people or stress the issue. A total of 10 hours on a bus people did not have on masks. Additionally we were emailed a promotion to upgrade to a live tour guide and we're told morning of that that information sent was false. Everyone was given an option to upgrade for the live guide for a lesser price than stated online which some guests expressed to be weird that some people paid more for the same experience. Ultimately the Grand Canyon South Rim was stunning, weather was gorgeous, our drivers got us to and from safely and our guide was kind. Logistically the tour lacked and it violated my trust in them as tour providers. Specifically the lack of enforcement of what was promised regarding covid and transparency in logistical changes. I do not feel confident in booking this company again and hope everyone apart of the tour were covid free.

At first I was a little skeptical of booking a 15 hour excursion but it was the perfect amount of time for the distance we had to travel. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is about 4 1/2 hours from Vegas. We stopped briefly at the Hoover Dam to take a few pictures then were on our way. Also a brief stop on RT66 to pick up lunch and take a few pictures. It was good to get out and stretch our legs. Our driver and guide were very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to hike about 2.5 miles on a paved trail at the Grand Canyon. The total time at the Grand Canyon was 3 hours. The hike was about 2 hours and then we had time to enjoy a beverage an appetizer at the lodge. Afterwards, we stopped at In-Out Burger and Chipotle-This was a little crazy but both places were very efficient in getting our orders out. We arrived back at the Vegas strip around 9pm and took another shuttle to our hotel. Overall, I would recommend this trip and know that it's a full day of adventure.

My partner and I had the best time on this tour! It can be hard to get up at 6am when you’ve been running around Vegas aha, but I would definitely recommend kicking on through the day and sleeping on the bus in the night as the sites/landscapes are beautiful and can’t really be seen in the dark, you might miss it if you sleep during the day. I would also recommend bringing something comfortable like a neck pillow or jumper to rest on because you are going to be on the bus for a long time. The stop offs are great with nice views and gift shops, also good for using the bathroom if you don’t really like going on the bus. The tour itself gives you an option to order food ahead of time so you don’t have to worry about waiting for it. It took a while to get there so I would recommend bringing some snacks with you if you don’t want to order food, they also give you snacks like a sandwich, cookies, breakfast bars throughout the day on the bus. We had Steven as a guide and he was great at keeping accountable for everyone on the bus and looking for people who had strayed off so you don’t have to worry about being left behind anywhere. If you haven’t been to the Grand Canyon before or aren’t familiar with it I would definitely recommend the guided tour. Steven was amazing as a guide, he gave 110% the entire time! He was so informative and you could tell he really took the time to learn everything to make it a wonderful experience for everyone involved. Steven was patient and happy to take photos for anyone even if there were more than a few wanting one, which as really handy for couples wanting a good picture (even encouraging people to embrace/kiss for pics which was nice to see as some couples were clearly a bit shy to do it without the encouragement)! He knew the best spots and really took the time to let everyone absorb just what a spectacular place they were visiting. There are heaps of gift shops at the Canyon too so lots of variety to choose from and also places to grab a bite/meal. Hopefully while you’re there you get to see some of the wildlife too! All in all I couldn’t recommend this tour enough and mostly having Steven as a guide! If you get him as a guide you should consider yourself lucky as he got to know everyone and was so friendly/patient plus really brought the energy up (which is hard when you’re dealing with a bus full of tired people), honestly made the whole experience that much better over someone just doing the bare minimum. 10 out of 10 tour!

We achieved the goal of seeing the Grand Canyon, and it was breathtaking; everything else was awful.
1. We found out Thursday via text that our tour for Sunday was canceled due to “vehicle maintenance.” We were “generously” given the option to choose from a Saturday or Monday tour. We ultimately choose the Saturday tour. We were given lackluster directions for the meet-up location.
2. When we got on the bus, we found out our first stop was a breakfast one for those who prepaid ( we were never given that option when we chose this new tour day). When we explained this to our guide Stephen (Zeus), he responded with a monotone, “that sucks.” I should also add that when we pulled into the restaurant, the bus got stuck because the driver could not lift the bus. After 20 minutes, we got off; the driver decided that would be a good time to back up and almost hit a passenger that had previously exited and those currently exiting. It took several passengers, including the guide to get the driver to stop moving the bus until people were safely off and a reasonable distance away from the direction he was driving the vehicle.
3. Whenever we got on the bus, the guide would tell us to “look forward, besides, and behind” to make sure our tour mates were accounted for. He never physically checked that people were accounted for; he said it was up to us.
4. Stops were rushed and unorganized.
5. About an hour to the Grand Canyon, our guide told us we could pay $20 to go on a walking tour he gave us or be dropped off at Mathers Point and have to walk 3 miles to join the rest of the group at Bright Angels Lodge by 3:10. The guide told us to pay attention to the map because he would not be coming to pick up stragglers and they’d need to find their own way back to Las Vegas. My friend and I decided to do the $20 walking tour after the casual threat of possibly being left behind and paying a $1200 fine if we got lost.
6. The walking tour should have been free because he only took us half a mile ( if that) and gave facts that could have been read off of the display. I will hand it to him though he did take everyone’s photo who wanted one.
7. The final stop was at the place where some of us got breakfast. The woman’s restroom had no soap again, and there were dead flies all over the sink. This was the serving us a prepaid dinner…I hope no one got sick.
Some final thoughts: please bring cash ( we were not told to, don’t take the walking tour, do your research before booking.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your detailed review of your Grand Canyon Tour with us. We're sorry to know that you were not satisfied with our service. We really appreciate you for bringing this to our attention and for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns.
We apologize for the cancellation of the tour on the date you originally booked. Unfortunately, this is out of our control, and we prioritize our passengers' safety, so we offered alternative dates to make sure you'd still be able to visit the Grand Canyon.
The complete pickup details were sent out around 4PM and pickup reminders were sent out as early as 4AM to make sure that passengers would be at the pickup location on time as the bus has to follow a pickup schedule.
We're sorry to know that you were not able to order breakfast. The breakfast options were sent out to everyone via email and text around 2PM.
The Guided Walking Tour is only optional due to some passengers prefer to explore the Grand Canyon by themselves and walking at the Grand Canyon from one viewpoint to another is also optional since there is a shuttle bus that visitors can ride for free.
We apologize if the tour guide's reminder was confused to be a threat since it is very important to be at the meeting point on time for the Tour Bus can make its way back to the Grand Canyon.
We will surely take note of the events that occurred on your tour and address them to improve our service.

It was a memorable and amazing experience from start to finish!!!
We did the bus tour of the Grand Canyon South Rim with stopping at the Route 66 gift shop.
The tour was very organized and very well operated, and we had plenty of time at each stop for short breaks and even some sightseeing and photo opportunities.
Thanks to our driver Milton, the long distance bus ride was very smooth and comfortable. We had a light breakfast snack, and Milton handed us the delicious deli sandwich and cookies for lunch, and plenty of icy cold water.
The entire tour was full of fun and I would say the best of all we were so fortunate to have LAILA as our tour guide for the day!
5 stars isn't enough to review her quality service and hospitality. She is entertaining, knowledgeable and incredibly nice and kind.
Grand Canyon South Rim was breathtaking and spectacular itself but walking tour with Laila is truly a great value and enhanced the experience with layer of joy. She took us to walk down in the Canyon on the Native American original trail (Bright Angel Trail). We were thrilled to see ancient Petroglyphs left by the original Native American population, a stunning rock tunnel and fantastic views of the Canyon.
The guided walking tour was an optional but we were so glad to take the fabulous opportunity.
We had a family emergency during the tour and Laila really worried about the situation and took great care of us by offering the constant supports on the way back to Las Vegas. She gave us run down of the valuable information for the family and they truly helped a big time.
I highly recommend the company and if you have Laila, wow! you are very lucky, too!

Long day but worth it. We were picked up at 6:15 am and dropped of at 10:30 pm. Interesting drive through Henderson Nevada, Hoover Dam, Route 66 and Kingman Arizona and then the Grand Canyon. The terrain is very inhospitable to anything but sage brush until you get closer to the National Park. Layla was informative, pleasant and personable and made the experience at the Grand Canyon a good one. There is no stop at the Hoover Dam because of Covid but there is a video played on the bus with information about the Dam. There is a stop at a gift shop on Route 66 and also video on the bus about Route 66. We arrived at the Grand Canyon around noon and we were there about 4 hours. It was approximately 3 hours back to Kingman where we stopped for dinner at a fast food restaurant and then 2 hours more to Las Vegas. The drop off of passengers with the traffic took more than two hours!
Spectacular views of the canyon and if you don’t want to do as much walking and want lots of information take the $20 walking tour with your guide from the bus.

The South Rim Grand Canyon is Beautiful! Unfortunately the bus trip with GC Tours was not acceptable. Upon communications with them, they are happy with what they offered.

I AM NOT happy with their $20 rebate. I believe that for a 3 hr delay, a Seron when you are trapped on the bus and scaring individuals about walking 3miles in 35deg heat when some people are elderly / health issues from drop zone 1 to take the "optional" tour is definitely not worth it! People should have been transported to drop zone 2 and then the tour, which would have made more sense. Over all, a lot of grief and very little recognition. Very disappointed!

For how much time the bus stops at the Grand Canyon National Park and at the South Rim?
Written 21 May 2023
Hi there! It's a long trip to go and back, so like 1 hours to see the Canyon and more like 45 minutes into Bright Angel Lodge, that is pretty close and you can see the Canyon also. You are going to have stops to have lunch and snacks also during the trip.

Is the Stop Hoover Dam as written in the Description back in the Tour? Because a Person wrote there is no stop. Question is for the Year 2022? Thank you.

There is no stop at the Hoover Dam. We drove past it slowly and if you’re on the 2nd floor of the bus you can see it but you can’t see anything from the bottom seats. Hope that helps!

When at Mather Point, would I have time to stop at the National Park Visitor Center?

A short time but you’ll have time at the gift shop at Bright Angel

6am. We didn’t get back until around 10-11 pm, but we were late because of a sand storm.

We were staying at the Strat and got pickup up at Treasure Island. We took the Deuce (local bus) that picked us up right in front of the Strat and dropped us off in front of Treasure Island. The Deuce pass is $8 per person and you can use it for 24hrs. Very convenient wish we would have used the Deuce in previous stays.

What time would pick up be at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino? And would a picture on my phone of my Vaccine Card work for proof?

Your statement says that CDC guidelines require proof of immunization. That is no longer in effect. Are you still requiring this or negative covid test?
