It was my kids first time on a double decker open top bus. We live in Las Vegas but the kids (ages 3, 6, 8, and 9) have never been to the Las Vegas Strip nor are they familiar with all of the historical landmark so the tour was worth every penny. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and quite funny with some of the fun facts. My husband and I really enjoyed the calm and peaceful entertainment on the strip. We started at the Mob Museum, did a short break at Mgm grand for about 45 minutes then returned back to Mob Museum. Total trip was about 2 hours. Kids are still talking about their fun adventure!

Great live narrated tour. We had the Go City pass and had to jump through a few hoops to get the tour secured but here are some tips so you’ll have less of a hassle and a better experience.

For the day tour you’ll have to have your go city pass scanned and turned into a ticket near 3791 S Las Vegas Blvd, The Aerie Store (a division of American Eagle). The Big Bus employee is not IN that location. He is ON the side street just south of that address wearing a Big Bus uniform.

This is the first stop for the day tour and they leave promptly at 10am. (Ours left at 9:58am) so I suggest you come early. I also HIGHLY Recommend that you load up at this stop because it’s the only way to guarantee a top seat. They will load passengers at numerous other stops and the bus will fill up to capacity and you will be siting downstairs or not riding at all.

The tour guide is informative and funny and provides fun facts about the strip properties and what’s is development. The entire tour lasts about 2 hours.

The tour DOES NOT stop at the Famous Las Vegas sign but does drive by slowly so you can get pictures or video.

My son and I took the entire tour to get a feel for the strip and then got off at the Mob Museum. I’m told the wait to hop back on is 45 minutes. We chose not to do that and just did the deuce or ride share for the rest of the day.

Oh, and unless you’re in Vegas in the summer, bring a hoodie for the top because it will get windy and cold.

I would definitely recommend this for first timers or for someone who hasn’t been to Vegas in 26 years.

This is supposed to go every 40 mins at the stops starting at 10am from the Linq. So we arrived at 1030 expecting to see a bus in the next 10-15 mins. 45 mins later one showed up, by which point us and the other 20 or so people who were waiting for it were gassed with the heat. I should also mention that before the bus arrived, a guy from Big Bus appeared and said he needed to print tickets for everyone, despite us all having either digital tickets or print offs. He then scanned our QR code which printed a ticket with another QR code on it for the driver to scan. Completely crazy, and this took about 15 or 20 mins to get through everyone too so there was a huge delay for the folks already on the bus who were cooking in the sun. The position of the buses on the app didn't seem to be accurate at all either unfortunately.
It's a good way to see the strip and safely get to Fremont, and the guides were great too.

It does sound like the schedule was off on the morning you're referring to. Many apologies for this. For the scanning of the QR, this is how we identify which customer show up internally. If we didn't do this we would have no idea if you sent your QR to another person or printed out extra paper tickets.

Due to our flight being cancelled the day of our tour, until we got to Vegas there was not enough time left in the day to be able to use our tickets. We had ordered & paid in advance. There was no way we were able to give 24hrs notice, so they would NOT refund our payment for 6 people.

Dreadful experience. Booked tickets then waited 30 mins for the bus with the app constantly changing the positions of the buses on the "live" map. Bus eventually arrived and we were told it was only doing 3 stops and then finishing for the day, despite the app saying we had 90 mins from when we got tickets. The conductor suggested we phoned for a refund then activated our tickets anyway. Made the phone call and the office was closed despite it bring 2.5 hrs before the closing time noted on their answerphone message. Contacted them online to be told that because the conductor had activated the ticket we couldn't get a refund. So we appear to have lost $100 in Vegas but not in a casino. Avoid this company!

A $59.00 tour up and down the Strip with 45 minute waits in between buses is not a great deal. The narration was just ok, but not great. I don't recommend this service, when compared to many other Hop On and Hop Off services in the US and overseas.

Worst company ever. So me and my wife went. The crew seemed nice at first. We got off at Excalibur for lunch and had a nice time. We then got back on bus and had the same crew. The woman sounded like a robot but nice. She asked where next and we were thinking mob museum, rebar, or freemont st. She said oh that's nice. We got to mgm stop and she said everyone off the bus, they were on lunch for thirty minutes. So we had to wait at that location for thirty minutes plus travel time to our destination. After we got back on the bus we got to the area where we were thinking of going but with heat and all, we decided to go back to the hotel and relax for a bit. When we didn't get off, the employee asked what happened and we said we were tired. Just going back to the flamingo. She said she understands. Again we got to mgm spot, and were told to get off because they had a break for 45 minutes. Worst part of it is there were others that asked if there were any other buses and she said of course, he will be pulling away just as we get there. We asked if she could stop him so we could get on, she laughed and said I can't tell him what to do. We were pissed and waited to just go a few minutes away to our hotel. I will never do this again. The company has reached out to try and solve the problem. Apparently, they scan your To Go passes and print out tickets. So they asked for proof. I sent pictures of us on the trip, I sent my to-go passes, screenshots, and gave them the exact date. Well after over ten emails and having to find only one printed out ticket, he sends me to another level supposedly that can resolve this. That person then says I need the other ticket to resolve that one. Again a lot of back and forth, and was told without a ticket I can only do a refund of $25 for one ticket. First of all, even with to-go pass; I paid over 30 for this. Second of all, I sent enough proof that I had two of us on the bus. Third of all and not least, they even apologize and treat people like garbage. Who keeps all their receipts to all places and keep each one for every person.

We got tickets from Scott Nelson earlier in the day. Very helpful, knowledgeable and highly recommended to go look for him to purchase tickets and organize other tickets as well.

Then, when we got on the bus, our tour guide/driver combination was Amy and Randy. Amy drove managing to drive that two decker bus as if it was a small sedan while Randy kept us entertained with family-friendly jokes and a lot of helpful or interesting information regarding the casinos, neighborhoods, future Las Vegas plans and how to save some money while in the city.

So, if you decide to go into this bus tour, which is generally worth it for moving around Las Vegas easily, look for Scott, Amy and Randy.

We couldn't help but compare this to hop on-hop off tours we have taken in othet cities. This one proved it has room to grow and improve.
Pros: There are stops at parts of the city not accessible to the monorail, such as The Mob Museum and Stratosphere. The tour guides were informative and personable. However, their jokes often sounded like they had said them so often, even they didn't find them funny anymore.
Cons: There are only a few buses, so if you just miss one, it is a 35-45 minute wait for the next one. There is quite a distance between the stops. Unfortunately, one of the sights we wanted to see was exactly in the middle of 2 stops, so required quite a bit of walking.

Four of us went to Vegas for a getaway and quickly found out that having a rental car would not be very helpful. It's fairly difficult to travel around the strip and various locations and finding places to park.

We opted to take the Big Red Bus Hop-On Hop-Off tour bus which turned out to be a great idea. We opted for the premium ticket that gave us not only two full days of traveling around Vegas, but also included the open bus night time tour as well as a bonus to take the "High Roller" which is a massive ferris wheel that takes almost an hour to make a full revolution. But back to the bus....

We picked up the bus almost directly across the street from the Park MGM Hotel and rode all over Vegas. We even traveled down to the old strip where Freemont Street is located. You don't want to miss that either. During the tour, we had a number of tour guides each with a great attitude and quickly offered tips and pointers of things to do while in Vegas.

While it would have been nice if the tour had more stops than it did, (there were nine in total), but even this provided a way to move around and save wear and tear on the feet. One word of caution however. Busses run approximately every 45 minutes and pick you up where you are dropped off. Be there when they arrive, otherwise you will have to wait for the next bus to show up. Likewise one or two of the stops are in a questionable part of town so keep this in mind when getting off. Our guide did mention this to everyone so you are aware prior to getting off.

Bottom line is the bus was a little pricey, but the value you get is there if you use all of the items provided. Also keep in mind, that it's hot out there. We were on the upper deck of the bus and you could feel yourself being cooked. The bussed did have a sun screen over the majority of the seating but the front of the bus is uncovered. You have been warned!

Have some fun and take the bus.
