About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Sarah_og320 contributionsOlenka is the best!!Olenka was an amazing tour guide both on the boat (in group) and in the reserve (private in car, driver Jorge was amazing as well. Very clean and comfortable car). Such a fun & informative experience. Thank you Las Adventure!!!Written 23 August 2024
- Excursion222958043740 contributionsHighlight of our 32 day South American cruiseOur guide was waiting inside the ship port and on time. Despite being told by Princess cruises that you would have to take a shuttle all the way to town, and that private tours would not be inside the port, they were incorrect. I received an email the night before to state that they had filled out all paperwork, and that they would be indeed only 14 feet from the gangway. . We left on time, and as soon as we arrived, we were escorted to the large speedboat with a cover as well as life jackets. We saw sea lions, a penguin or two, and multiple island birds. We even saw a whale fan and part of its body out of the water. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and it has been one of the highlights of our trip. We would highly recommend this tour company.Written 25 March 2024
- Q4616ZAmarionw0 contributionsGreat natural experienceA very organised tour. The guides were local and ensured we had full information, views and support. The guide at Tambo Colorado had in-depth knowledge of the site, with his museum background. Very friendly and assistive. We did get some ocean spray crossing to the Ballestas Islands, and that is to be expected. The staff ensured that we stopped t see all the wildlife. We developed a good understanding of the birdlife and sea lions who had recently calved.Written 24 March 2024
- V9375UYdavidc0 contributionsGreat Short ExcursionExcellent short excursion while on a cruise stop. Small group experience with an outstanding guide. This was really good value!Written 27 January 2024
- John W0 contributionsBook your trip with Paracas ExplorerOur cruise ship stopped in Paracas for one day. We wanted to see as much as possible in a short time. We booked the Ballestas Islands boat tour and National Reserve land tour with Paracas Explorer. Our guide, Abigail, on the boat tour was excellent. She knew all about the birds and animals that we saw. Her english was excellent. Manuel, our guide on the land tour, was also excellent. His knowledge of the unique area, its history and role in early cultures made for a fascinating tour. His english was also excellent.Written 16 December 2023
- Evelin9180 contributionsBad experience👎👎👎 Not to recommend! Or at least not with this company. The service is very bad for so much money! I didn't get any information before the tour. After i asked for details i got it on the day before the tour at about 10pm!! Pick up was at 5:35, the bus was about at 6 at my hotel. The bus was in a very bad condition , one part of the seatbelt was missing, the seatpocket was torn, i couldn't turn off the AC above me so it was blowing and blowing and was very cold. The bus was screeching constantly, it was so loud in the rear of the bus that i didn't hear anything (and we spent about 10 hours in the bus), it stank very badly in the bus because of the lavatory. I have no idea what the tourguide told for us during the day. The tourguide told me the breakfast is not included for me, i asked him to check it again... It was included... He asked me what i want for lunch , i tought it is included too because he didn't say anything else. After the meal he just asked if i paid. I was completely confused, it was not expensive but i didn't get any information about it before. Very bad communication!!! The vinetasting was only on english (it is not a vine tasting, only some alkohol in a plastic shot cup) , i asked a lady there why, she told me that the tourguide didn't say that some of us don't understand Spanish.... Thats why i booked the english tour!! I asked the tourguide about it but he didn't care. The boat tour(1 hour 40 minutes) and the buggy tour (1 hour), were nice, the guides there were not from this company. It is a very very high price for a bad service!!! Bad vehicle, bad organization, bad communication, not professional tourguide. I can not recommend this tour and this company.Written 24 September 2023
- Parkerilla0 contributionsWell worth the effortQuite a simple high speed boat ride from Paracas wharf after cruise ship transfer from Porto San Martin (about 30 mins). The cost varies with the. Best price for foreigners $US15 pp. The touts will start at $US35 pp but negotiate as there are plenty of touts hawking tickets. The round trip takes about 2 hours and is very well worth the effort. A cruise ship excursion will cost around $US150 pp. around the wharf area there are plenty of restaurants with superb seafood on offer, plenty of Pisco and the usual tourist gift shops.Written 30 August 2023
- 715frederiqueb0 contributionsCool but expensive when your not planning on it .The tour itself was pretty good and the lines where fantastic but there was a few hidden fee we didn't know about considering we thought we had everything paid for in advance.Written 26 August 2023
- rachanaj20230 contributionsGreat tour with great guide! Our guide Olenka was amazing! Knowledgeable and passionate about Paracas, we learned a lot and saw some amazing views!! Had a great time, it was easy to coordinate, communicate, and enjoy. I recommend taking the time to see the unique Paracas National Reserve.Written 6 August 2023
- 876khaminc0 contributionsHorribleTerrible experience. Buggy broke down over 6 times went through 3 different buggys and the route was not the one pictured. Advertised was a costal beach side buggy ride but we never drove on the beach at all just beside a cliff close to the ocean. 3 stops at 15 minutes each to “site see” so really the buggy riding was only about an hour not 2. Would not go again and would not advise. Also we were not the only couple whose buggy broke down and when someone’s buggy broke down the whole group had to wait which made what should have been a 2hour tour close to 4hrs. Las Adventure won’t give our money back so I would stay away from this! Hopefully TripAdvisor will make things right with us!Written 4 January 2023
- GrassValleyMe0 contributionsSo worth the killer regime!(Through Holland America). Of course Machu Picchu is awesome, beautiful, inspiring. Worth the pain! First, Callao is the pits, too bad snarled traffic showcases it. After the flight to Cusco, the city tour was very interesting. Great colonial buildings, and remains of the old Inca capital. Lack of oxygen (12,000 ft) slowed me down. Loved the alpaca farm, and special Peruvian dinner at hotel with folk dancers. Breakfast at 3.45am was a shock but good. Bus and train ride to Aguas C. was very beautiful. "Easy" tour of Machu P. nearly killed me - uneven stone steps, no handrails - but that's what ya gotta do!. Long journey back to Cusco. 4am breakfast next day (ugh) to fly to Lima and then 5hr bus ride down Peru's arid coastline to rejoin the ship at Pisco/ S. Martin. Expensive trip but the only way to see this Andean marvel from a cruise ship.Written 14 December 2022
- WAJean0 contributionsBallestra and ParacasThe tour was originally only to Paracas National Park. Added on Ballestra Islands upon arrival. The arrangements seemed a bit disorganized before the boat tour. However, both the boat tour and Paracas tour turned out to be good. Sorry I forgot the guide name. It started with an O and sounded something like Oleana. She was a good guide and was knowledge about both areas.Written 2 December 2022
- Markus R0 contributionsnot the best experiencepicked up 40mins late just to let us wait 2hrs on the airport without any explanation about the lines. the flight itself was nice till someone had to puke and the whole plane - without AC which was really hot - smelled accordingly.Written 15 November 2022
- junemJ1811HJ0 contributionsGrand scale desert mysteryThe Nazca lines themselves are a wonderous site but a long flight in a small hot noisy plane with NO info from the crew until we were literally right above the lines and the3n very hard to hear. The pilot banked the plane side to side at each site so everyone on either side could see these gigantic primitive 'drawings'. Regret being the second couple in as we were next to the wing struts which made viewing tricky. It is a bit of a journey to get to this empty airport and 90 minutes in flight for about 20 minutes of amazement... If you have any tendency toward air sickness this might not be for you!Written 7 November 2022
- no_b5170 contributionsA great start for discovering PerouThe whole experience was great. My favorite parts were the desert and all the amazing animals (Dolphins, sea lions, pélicans...) we saw. But the chandelier geoglyph and the red beach were also magical. We had amazing food for lunch. A great expérience all around that would not have been the same without our amazing guide, Eduardo, who took the time to explain a lot to the 4 of us. The variety of landscape and the whole day was really worth it. Make sure you have sunscreen for the boat. I recommend.Written 9 October 2022

Thank you to Alexander for a wonderful tour fron San Martin port to Tambo Colorado. My friend and I spoke to Alexander at the Port on the morning of our excursion. The tour was everything he promised. Alexander is very knowledgeable in his area's ancient history and speaks English fluently. He is a very personable young man and I could not fault any of the day.
Afterwards he dropped us in Paracas where we had a lovely meal at one of the restaurants that he suggested. From there we got our ships shuttle back to the port.
Tambo Colorado is a must do when you are in the area
