About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Ruth0160 contributionsThrills and tranquility! This excursion is a must-do adventure! Our driver was Clive, and he ensured that we had a great experience throughout the trip. His knowledge added an extra layer of depth to the experience. He was attentive and engage, and always ready with helpful tips and recommendations. The Blue Hole was a breathtaking oasis, with its crystal clear waters and stunning natural beauty. Dunn's River Falls was the highlight. Climbing the cascading falls was such a exhilarating experience. This one is not to be missed for anyone travelling to Jamaica!Written 11 January 2025
- iluvoc0 contributionsA Few Things to KnowIf you are on a Viking cruise it’s a 2 hour drive from the port. If you have any ankle or hand issues this is not for you. It may look easy but this is strenuous. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Your guide climbs most of the falls with you and assists those in need. WATER SHOES are a must. Great experience just be careful.Written 11 January 2025
- Viviana W0 contributionsAmazing experience and staff very attentive and caring the whole excursion!Everything from the beginning was wonderful. Guides in the falls were amazing and very attentive. Great experience, definitely highly recommended.Written 4 January 2025
- Christopher B0 contributionsGreat day trip for two families with four kids ranging from 8-14 years old.The YS Falls were beautiful. We enjoyed the rope swings and the tour guides did a great job of making sure we had pictures of our memories. It wasn’t too busy on the Tuesday we went. The lunch at the Black River restaurant was delicious. We grabbed some ice cream for the boat ride and enjoyed the beautiful views. We saw several crocodiles and the tour guide was funny and informative. The tour guide that drove the bus was amazing. He gave us a great history of Jamaica and was very enjoyable to be around. Overall a great trip.Written 4 January 2025
- 122laf0 contributionsFantasticWe stayed alive with Clive!! An absolute legend. Navigated the journey safely with the patience of a saint (I don’t think I’d want to drive these roads). Built a great rapport with and among the group. Very knowledgeable on the outbound journey and let us all chill with a movie (had to be cool runnings) and Bob Marly documentary and latest movie coming back. I will be back to survive with Clive again. One LoveWritten 3 January 2025
- darcym4960 contributionsSo disappointed with the travel- do not go if staying in Montego BayI’ll start with the positives, the tour guide and driver were very kind and good fun and the actual Blue Hole and Dunns river were so cool to experience. However, our 8 hour day turned into 13 hours with 7-8 hours travelling. We were unluckily picked up first and therefore dropped off last. We were picked up at 8am and ended up getting dropped off at 9:30pm! In the morning, it took us 3 hours 40 mins to get to the actual blue hole which is meant to be like a 2 hour drive. This was because it took us an hour just picking up people around Montego Bay, then other hotels on the way, from here they then make us go to a souvenir store for 30 minutes in the middle of nowhere. We were also unlucky with one of the groups of people we were with as they kept asking to stop at a pharmacy then would take ages- this happened throughout the day - constantly waiting for one family. And I know this isn’t exactly the excursions fault but they could have encouraged the group to hurry up for the sake of the rest of us who have also payed. We then went to our lunch spot where the cheapest meal is $20, again in the middle of nowhere but to be fair it was nice food. From here they said it would take 15 mins to Dunns river but it actually took like 35 mins. Once we arrived, Dunns river was packed and hardly enjoyable with all the people trying to barge through up the falls. The tour guides there were great but get annoyed if you go off a little bit. After this long day , it then took 4 hours to get home because of the traffic and we unfortunately had to stop and wait for a driver that bus had broken down. Again not their fault , but it did kind of ruin our trip due to the length of the journey being so long already and there was no form of compensation and not really apologies. So I would recommend doing the Blue Hole and Dunns river only if you’re staying close to Ochos Rios.Written 31 December 2024
- aref_sam0 contributionsExcellent day tour with the best 3 attractionsThe SNL tour of blue hole, secret falls, and Dunn river's falls was excellent. Our tour guide, Clive, was very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you want to do a day tour, look no further. I highly recommend this tour. Make sure to have waterproof phone case with you or buy one when you get there. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Written 30 December 2024

- warrenz20160 contributionsFun, Scenic, and Well-Organized Day TripI want to clarify upfront that this review is for the Dunn River Falls, Blue Hole, and Secret Falls tour, as the operator kindly rebooked me from the YS Falls and Black River Safari tour at no extra charge due to low interest in the latter. This thoughtful accommodation allowed me to join a group traveling on Christmas Day, which was greatly appreciated. — Transportation & Group Dynamics: The transport did take some time due to multiple pickups and stops, but the driver more than made up for it with humor and a welcoming attitude. He engaged everyone with jokes and even hosted a fun trivia game, which helped pass the time and set a positive tone for the day. The operators ensured there were opportunities for bathroom breaks, refreshment purchases, and even souvenir shopping, making the journey feel well-paced. — Destination 1: Dunn River Falls Experience Upon arrival, there was a bit of a wait due to the popularity of the site, but once we started, the experience was truly enjoyable. The falls were beautiful, and the activity itself was well-organized and fun. However, at the end of this portion, the guides became a bit pushy when requesting tips. While I felt somewhat guilted into tipping more than I intended (due to limited local currency on hand), I understand this isn't reflective of the tour operator but something for future travelers to be aware of. — Destination 2: Blue Hole and Secret Falls At the next stop, participants were given the freedom to engage at their comfort level—whether diving, rope swinging, or simply observing. I personally participated and found the activities thrilling and the scenery breathtaking. The camaraderie among the group of strangers was a delightful bonus, making the experience even more memorable. — Return Journey & Final Impressions: The return trip was straightforward and scenic, though understandably long. Overall, it was a fantastic way to spend a day. — Tips for Future Travelers A couple of takeaways: 1. Be mindful of tipping—it's always helpful to have smaller denominations in local currency to avoid overextending. 2. Expect some delays during transport and at popular sites, but rest assured the experience is worth it. In summary, this was a well-organized and thoroughly enjoyable excursion. The operator’s efforts to create a friendly, fun, and flexible experience were evident, making it a memorable day for all involved.Written 28 December 2024
- mutiuo20200 contributionsNice day outThe whole experience was awesome. Our driver arrived on time and was very patient with us. The original plan was to go to Secret falls and Blue hole first but he anticipated that the Dunn’s would be packed if we go later. So, we hit the Dunn’s first. Amazing stuff. The climb was very good and physical. My whole family loved it. We then proceeded to the falls and Blue hole after having a nice lunch at a nice restaurant. I would recommend this booking to anyone interested.Written 27 December 2024
- debs1500 contributionsBrilliant trip but very long driveAbsolutely brilliant trip. If you are travelling from Montego Bay then make note it’s over 2hour drive and 3/4 of it is up a windy steep narrow road, so if you get travel sick I would t recommend.Written 26 December 2024
- akhil r0 contributionsExcellent way to spend the day outside the resortWe departed the resort around 8:40 AM and picked up other passengers from the other major resorts in Montego Bay. After this, we went straight to a shopping area to pick up some snacks and quick bathroom break. We then proceeded to the Dunn’s river Falls. Our driver, Marlon did a great job organizing guides for us who help to climb the falls regardless of ability. After this was a short lunch break. Lunch could’ve been better. It would have been best to go to a nicer restaurant since we were paying for lunch ourselves. The food was average for non-vegetarians with jerk chicken, jerk pork and curried goat, however, options for vegetarians were limited tosteamed vegetables. After this, we proceeded to go to the Secret Falls & blue hole. This was amazing. It was great to jump off 10 foot and then 30 foot height into a beautiful limestone lined blue hole . All throughout this trip I did not feel rushed or hurried at all. It was a perfect Jamaican vibe. Ya mon! YWritten 25 December 2024
- Climber449971216900 contributionsBlue Hole, Secret Falls and Dunns River FallFirst of all, our driver Copele was on time, professional, knowledgeable, courteous and very funny! As a Jamaican, this was my first time to Mobay, and I learned a lot from him. Our time in St Ann at the Blue Hole, Secret Falls and Dunns River falls was nothing short of amazing. Please book this tour, you will not regret it.Written 19 December 2024
- Sightseer094038064540 contributionsDon't book excursion with your driverOur driver told us if we wanted to book an excursion we had to pay him cash because the company only uses licensed guides. We were uncomfortable and felt pressed to book. We ended up going on a glass bottom boat. It was a complete scam. We had to meet the boat out in the water up to our hips and the guides were two teenagers. While talking to them we found out the driver charged us twice what they were paid to take us. There is no way this was legit!!Written 17 December 2024

Although a very long drive from Negril, our driver Clyve (not sure how to spell) made it as entertaining as possible. YS falls and the property it sits on is absolutely stunning. Our guide at the falls took our camera without asking and took beautiful photos of our family. He refused to give it back until the end, he wanted and did capture each moment, it was so appreciated. Lunch at Black River was good, workers were very friendly. Our boat ride on the river was great, saw a huge well known croc and we had a great guide who educated us on the Black Rivers history. Highly recommend for families.

We have 6 teenagers and they all agree the excursion was worth the 2-hour drive from our Negril resort. We hadn't expected the drive to be that long that day, but it was a good way to see more of Jamaica. The falls were beautiful and our family enjoyed swinging and jumping in. The only hiccup was that we didn't bring water shoes which may have been recommended in the info but we didn't catch that detail if it was. All 8 of us had to purchase the $10 water shoes (which could have been worse) at the gift shop before going in. We could have elected not to, but we were glad we did in the end because of the rocks. As an FYI (because I like to know these things), there's a gift shop, restaurant, and convenience snacks and drinks at YS Falls if needed. There's also a changing area and restrooms of course. The second half of the excursion was the Black River safari starting with lunch. Our kids really liked the food. The boat safari was wonderful. There were several huge crocodiles, one of which was 75 years old and 18 feet long. It was massive. I just wanted to denote that because we've been on other crocodile excursions in the states and we were disappointed by only seeing a few really small ones. The driver was nice and the shuttle was comfortable. All in all I would recommend this trip, but be prepared for a long day that's half driving. We left at 8am and were back to our Negril resort at 4:30pm.

We enjoyed the experience. The sightseeing and being in the YS falls was just creare. I beleave the could be some improvements to the stair and gangways for safety. Otherwise, the service crew team was great. The other part of the tour to black river include a meal, but we found that the restaurant location and restaurant facility needs some basic improvements: no working restroom, stay dogs walking around the restaurant, the quality of the meal protein was bad, uncontril flies/bugs and most fan were not working.

Note: if coming from Negril expect the trip to take an hour and a half each way so come prepared.
Black River Safari was slow and not very exciting. Good views from river. Gators are fed from boats so they will swim up looking for food. I could easily skip this tour next time.
YS falls are well worth the trip. You get a tour guide to walk you through the falls and take pictures and videos. We got the opportunity to use the rope swing as well. Our tour got cut short due to rain/lightening but I would still go back.

We loved YS Falls. We had a great guide who took great pictures for us. Very beautiful. Two boys 11 and 14 used rope swing to jump in several times. We also enjoyed the mineral pool. We had a great guide down the Black River. Saw crocodiles and guide provided lots of information. It was a long drive - about 2 and 1/2 hours. Our guide on the way there was informative about Jamaica. Our trip back with him was unpleasant. It seemed like something happened; but not sure what. He stopped at roadside and grabbed a corn on the cob snack for himself. He ate while driving, texted and talked on phone while driving. Drove very fast. It was uncomfortable.

Black River safari was fun and informative. Lots of crocs in the water. YS falls was beautiful cool fresh water. We got lots of photos there, courtesy of Rick (THANKS MAN). Our favorite part was the zipline. Marquis and Torry took excellent care of us as we've never done it before. Those guys are the best. We highly recommend it. We went down 5 lines through the treetops and over the falls. Our driver Peter was very knowledgeable of the history of the area and one heck of a driver. If you've ever been to Jamaica, you know what I mean!!!

Very happy with the whole day and would recommend it. Initially, quite a long drive (from Negril) but it gave us chance to see some of the countryside.
The boat trip up the river was interesting with the chance to see the various crocodiles in their natural habitat. They are clearly quite use to seeing all of the boats on the river and seemed quite docile but definitely would not risk a dip in the water with them. The pilot/guide on the boat was very informative and entertaining, with a lunch at the end of the trip which was more than adequate.
After lunch we were then taken to the falls which was very pleasant. Due to my wife not walking very well, we did not walk fully up the falls or swim in the pools. Nevertheless, all the other guests there seeming to be fully enjoying themselves, including a rope swing and some paid extra for the zipline. Everyone on our minibus back to Negril said they had a good time but I would warn everyone that the standard of driving in Jamaica leaves a lot to be desired and that included our driver, to a lesser degree.

The River Safari was alot of fun and the Guide provided lots of interesting facts about the ecosystem of the river. Yes we saw huge crocodiles! Also many different bird ans mangrove forests. Trip was about 45 minutes at a relaxed pace.
YS Falls were beautiful and it was nice to drive up into the mountains and through small towns and see how the average Jamaican lives. Lunch (jerk chicken) was included and the falls did not disappoint. Our guide kept our phones dry for us and took lots of pictures, they are very careful and make the activity as safe as possible. Highly recommend this activity!

Absolutely brilliant trip.
There was another couple on the trip and they were great.
Our driver Clyero was amazing. He was friendly, informative and was responsive to our needs and requests.
From Negril this is a long trip, but totally worth it.
The Falls are stunning. Guides lead you through the falls and take loads of pictures on your own phone. A tip is much appreciated for this.
Then a short drive on to Black River and lunch. This was very tasty and loads of it. Boarded the boat here for a ride on the river and to see the Crocodiles. Staff are very knowledgeable and I would think guaranteed to see a croc or 2!!!
Not sure the YS Falls bit would be suitable for younger children as they are deep.

Brilliant day trip visiting this wonderful part of Jamaica . The YS falls are beautiful and the guides that take you across the rocks are fantastic and will take all your photos for you . The black river boat trip was great getting up real close to the crocs and very educational too if you love the wildlife. Our guide was giving us all the history of Jamaica and life on the island on the drive down which from Montego Bay is around 2 hours so be prepared for a bouncy ride as the roads are worse than the uk ( if that’s even possible) but well worth the travel time for such a great experience.
