      Great tour
The whole experience was great. Our tour guide was so informative. The boat ride to the island felt like we were on a special expedition.

      Great lighthouse tour
Knowledgeable guides in a small boat which gave a more personal experience. Drinks provided on the boat was a nice addition.

Would take this your again and again!
Could not have had a better trip with Captain Austin and Luke. Water was calm, amazing facts and stories about Casco Bay and the shoreline, and the beer was great. They gave us info on history, fishing, birds...you name it, they knew it. Only had 16 people on our cruise, the boat was comfortable, and the sights were stunning. Seriously couldn't recommend this experience enough. Our only complaint was that they pronounced their "R's". Would have felt more authentic if they dropped a few here and there.

      Bay cruise
Captain Pete and first mate, Danny, made it a fun and informative cruise. The included drink and scenery certainly added to the experience.

      Lovely time on Casco Bay
We spent a lovely few hours on the water. It was reasonably priced and my sister and I had the boat all to ourselves. We got plenty of personal attention which was very nice. Our captain and guide were wonderful.

      No Scavenger Hunt for Kids
The tour advertised a kids scavenger hunt on their website, which is one of the reasons we booked. We traveled with four kids and they were excited about the scavenger hunt but that wasn't real. None of the employees were even aware of any scavenger hunt. The tour was good but our kids lost interest and were disappointed they didn't get to do the scavenger hunt.

Friendly, knowledgeable, super cool fort and awesome experience. Would go again with others.
Nothing but good things to say. Check in at Portland Beer Hub. I did the 10:30 AM. They opened for check-in at 10 AM that day, so don't expect someone there prior. Text communication was fantastic. Very responsive. The tour was excellent from the water time to the fort exploration. Only tour allowed on the island - friends of the owner of it. General public not allowed, so this tour is your way. It is also in the best shape of all the ones in the area that I saw. Free (one) alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink of your choice for free. More for purchase. Ask questions - they seem to know so much. Very friendly. Awesome time. Just so it! Also, while you are here, bring or rent a kayak and paddle to Fort Gorges. I brought my own (whitewater with a spray skirt). Sit on top or other very stable kayak recommended in the event you flip. Cross from East End Beach straight across (safest to avoid big boat channels and being in someone's way). Probably about a 1.5 mile paddle.

So fun and informative! The tour guy was amazing! It was really cool to take a boat to the island and hear about all of the history of the fort

      Unique and fun!
The boat ride was comfortable and not crowded. Crew was very knowledgeable about the area and were able to answer all our questions. The tour of the private island and historic fort was fun and informative. My husband is a real history buff and was captivated. One of his favorite activities on our trip so far! Highly recommend!!

      Great tour, highly recommended.
Great tour. Guide was excellent, fort was very interesting. Wonderful views from boat and island/fort. Be aware that there is walking on uneven surfaces, stairs, and ramps.

      So relaxing!
What a great day exploring! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, narrating along the way in a friendly manner. We saw some beautiful homes along the coast along with lighthouses and forts. The beverages were tasty too! We will definitely take another cruise with SeaPortland!!

Great tour of Casco Bay - Where did the time go?
We loved our time on the water ! Saw some amazing views of Cacso Bay, not just the lighthouses that are advertised. Guide was informative about the sites but also kept quiet at times to let us enjoy and appreciate what we were seeing. We heard about the history of many of the sites and why they were important (at least at one time) to the Bay. Highlight was the Portland Head Light lighthouse. We covered a lot of ground and was surprised how fast the time went. Must have taken about a hundred photos on my phone. Would definitely recommend this to others.

I want to start off by saying the captain and host were really nice, the gal giving the information was a doll. Unfortunately she had to jump from one side of the boat to the other to give us all information. I wish she had a headset, mic and speaker so we could all hear at the same time. We booked this sunset tour to see the most famous lighthouse Portland headlight, they told us the waters were too unstable to go. That was a major let down, we understand and never want our safety to be put at risk but that was the main reason we booked this tour.

Both the captain and the tour guide were very friendly and personable. It was inconvenient that the guide had to speak to the people in the boat into shifts front to back as opposed to having a small PA system that everyone could hear all at once. I thought it was very much over priced for what was offered; it was 25% higher than the four hour whale watch we participated in earlier in the day!
It also would be helpful to passengers not familiar with the area for this company to have an agreement with a nearby local establishment for people to quickly use the restroom, for example, Gilbert’s chowder House.

Even with the cocktails, I would put the value of this tour no more than $50-$60.

Cruising through the port was fun. Felt safe with the captain. I liked learning history about the area. The one thing I’d change is adding a PA system. Our guide went from front to back of the vessel with commentary - he’d talk about one site in front of boat and another site in back. I was expecting to see more lighthouses up close or at all as the ad described. I also hoped to see a bright illumination of the city of Portland but it wasn’t dark enough for the city to appear lit-up. Learned some cool history on this event!

This is not a sunset cruise with two cocktails. This is a boat ride with a beer cooler on board around the same time the sun goes down. The crew was good, and I apologize for not tipping them because it is the financers of this rip off that should be punished.

Hard to find where to board. Canned refreshments on board. Small boat. We saw another company had a much cheaper price for a similar trip. May have been size of the vessel. Staff was nice and informative about area and history. Good view of Portland Head Lighthouse from the water

Intimate boating experience- very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had a cloudy night and I think the tour was still beautiful. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it was hard to get the story behind the lighthouses/forts because our guide was walking between the back and front of the boat.

The contacts and crew were great but the weather was poor cloudy windy with rain spitting so no chance to see a sunset. The boat was very dark and I would have preferred they cancelled the cruise. We were practically the only boat out that night. It was kind of scary.

I’m so glad I booked this trip! The lighthouses and forts were beautiful and the history (as told by our incredibly knowledgeable guide Sam, who is also very handsome!) was fascinating! The Captain obviously knew what he was doing as the ride was smooth and relaxing! The sunset on the way back was magical. I highly recommend this experience!

This was a gorgeous cap on a great visit to Portland. The weather was lovely and both guys on the boat were friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

We were nervous at first as we saw a gaggle of already drinking guys gather to get on a boat but fortunately there's was another experience. This was low key and really worth it!

The SeaPortland team was great to work with. They helped us craft exactly the event we were looking for. They were professional, responsive, and courteous throughout the process. The cruise itself was very enjoyable. The staff was helpful and informative when needed but also allowed us to enjoy the trip. Highly recommend!
