Our guide Shinas Shabana provided my wife and me with an in depth tour of Fort Cochi. Shinas is an affable chap, presentable and accompanied by a fine sense of humour. Sporting the ubiquitous Indian moustache and fine attire, Shinas, unprompted and generously, suggested a new hair style and fashion dress code for me. I will port the suggestions back to the UK and consider a new me. Thank you. As to the tour its self, it helps to have an interest in temples and churches. My wife fortunately does. There was no need to air dirty laundry at the visit to the hand washing laundrette, just a wonder why there are no washing machines. The tour is rounded off with a visit to a shop owned by Shinas father/uncle/mother/brother/friend/wife/son/daughter (delete which ever is not applicable) but there was no pressure to buy unwanted items. Thank you Shinas for spending time with us.

Shinas was a really pleasant and informative guide. He waited patiently whilst we took our time having breakfast, and visiting sights at our leisure. He made suggestions as to what to visit. He suggested a Kathakali show for later that evening, driving us to buy tickets. We hadnt got enough rupees on us so he lent us the money. Later that evening upon seeing us he gave us a free short lift to where we were going. Very pleasant fellow.

Shina was a really lovely tour guide . He had some interesting reccomendations but also took into account the things we wanted to see and do . He was cheerful and very friendly and we really enjoyed our couple of days with him . Would very highly recommend.

We had excellent Tuk Tuk tour around the Mattancherry area of Fort Kochi. Our driver was RIYAS he was a fantastic guide very informative and knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Answered all our questions and stopped whenever we wanted to take random photos. A great morning at a excellent price. Highly recommended 5 star .

Our driver Chemi picked us up from our homestay and drove us around the beautiful old sites of Kochi. We stopped at a very old Portuguese Church, a Syrian Orthodox Church and a couple of Hindu temples, one of which we were allowed inside and even fed the birds. Chemi was most relaxed and flexible to showing us only the sites we wanted to see. We went to the Mattancherry Dutch Palace, a wonderful building that had the most exquisite fresco paintings and interesting artefacts from all the eras of Kochi’s long history. Our driver then took us to a great spice market shop and at our request, took us to the Liquor shop on the way back. He was even kind enough to carry the bottles up to our room at the homestay, what a nice guy!

We had an amazing tour with Riyas who took us all around Cochi! He was so incredibly kind, attentive and funny and was very knowledgeable about the area and helped us see the real India! Our family had an amazing TukTuk tour around Fort Kochi! Our guide/drivers were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they assisted my Mum in and out of the TukTuk and up and down stairs. On our tour we went to all the key spots on the island while learning about the fascinating colonial history and local stories. The ride was smooth, with natural air conditioning (!) and we got to explore places we wouldn’t have found on our own. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Fort Kochi—it’s a fantastic way to experience the charm of this wonderful city.

Cochin Royal Tuk-Tuk Tours We spent four hours touring around Fort Kochi and Mattancherry with Mr K. M. Shameer in his rickshaw. We didn’t have much time in Fort Kochi and it turned out that this was an awesome way to see lots of highlights. It can feel very hot in Kochi and there are lots of interesting things to see which are beyond walking distance. Even if you enjoy exploring by yourself, it’s a good option to take this kind of tour. We weren’t rushed. Everything was cool. He will take you to any place you want or, if you don’t mind either way, he has a list of suggestions. When our kids got hungry he found the perfect place for a snack. Overall, we have a really great time and we were super happy with the service. We recommend Cochin Royal Tuk-Tuk Tours as a relaxed and hassle-free option.

Nice relaxed guide and driver. Good explanations. Long enough to get info. Short enough not to get bored. Nice stops and enough time to explore the site on your own. Drank good coffee at a nice local café/restaurant.
