About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 878chetanas0 contributionsI will not be recommending Experience Andamans to anyone ever…Experience Andamans claims to be one of the best travel guides in Andaman but I haven’t had that experience! Our trip was for 9 days and we did Diglipur, Port Blair, Baratang, Havelock and Neil. So while talking to the sales exec here in Kolkata she seemed considerate about the locations we wanted to add and explore, this being the first time we were doing a trip in Andaman. We had a certain checklist to see the famous tourist spots and let that know to them beforehand which she said is fine and can be added instantly on site but man oh man the coordinator we got in Port Blair Lakshmi was THE WORST NIGHTMARE any tourist could have. We didn’t explain properly about what we were doing and was so vague about the activities! And adding a destination was such a huge trouble! They literally refused our complimentary shopping trip hotel pickup on the last which she had vehemently promised before saying that she cannot provide a car because of the rush of the light and sound show. My point was why did you say that you’ll arrange it then? Light and sound shows happen everyday same timings not like you were unaware of it before! And we couldn’t but any souvenirs! this is just one way our trip was ruined, she played a few more tricks like cancelling Chidiya Tapu beach at the last moment when we left our hotel at 4AM just for that and withholding the refund for Scuba for our friend who was medically unfit for the dive. She literally ignored our texts for the refund and left us hanging until we called the sales team and sorted on our own. Apart from this, our coordinators at Havelock and Neil were wonderful and made the trip amazing. Very punctual and clear instructions. We didn’t have any headache, and got time to explore the islands on our own too. Also had the worst experience in Nautika booked by Experience Andamans! Everyone aboard the boat as vomiting their guts out and they chose to play loud music instead was helping. If you chose to go with them God only help if Lakshmi is your trip coordinator, she’ll coordinate you all the way to hell.Written 6 February 2025

- debasmitan20180 contributionsA Pleasant VacationThe service was very good. All the staff were helpful. The drivers were punctual and informative. Mr. Raju, our tour coordinator was always available to help and guide us. This was my second trip with Experience Andamans and their quality of service is still the same. The staff helped and guided us for all the water activities. The complimentary activities provided in the package were good. Improvement needed for the following: 1) Mr. Tarak at Havelock could just be a little more tourist friendly. A little bit. 2) I had a difficult time waiting for about 45 minutes for a driver to arrive after returning from Ross Island. That was unnecessary. 15-20 mins of waiting time would be better. 3) I request the staff to please call before making the ferry booking to know about the preference of the customer. I really wanted to get upper quality tickets for the ferry. I got to travel in the basic quality. 4) The customer representative, Mr. Sumit was not communicative. Did not communicate, did not inform, was not available to provide information before the trip. Hence, I could not even request for better ferry tickets.Written 31 January 2025
- Tour486833322650 contributionsExperience Andamans - very bad stay experience in lowest category rooms even on booking the second highest package.I booked the second highest package offered but the person (Ms. Manvi) who co-ordinated with me for bookings gave the lowest category hotel rooms at Andamans,Havelock and Neil. I paid extra for upgradation at Havelock and Neil as the rooms were horrible. the hotels were also average though I was told that all hotels are 4 star category. At Hvelock, the room provided was in a corner with wooden barricading in front to block the generator view and constant sound of generator was heard so we paid extra to get the room upgraded. There was no one to listen to our plight and the charges for the trip were quite high as compared to the packages available. Packed breakfast was given only when we demanded it from hotel (they should have themselves arranged for it) at Andamans since our trip to Havelock was booked by them at 7am and we had to leave from hotel at 6am. Overall a very bad experience on hotel stays. At every touring point, they used to send only the mobile nos. of the drivers who were so bossy that they would not wait even for five mins. Though we were informed that we can take pit stops enroute, but the drivers never halted anywhere nor provided any tourist information / help. Except take us to shopping where they will get a good commission.Written 30 January 2025

- reyanshr20250 contributionsFull team of Local Islanders Best teamNever had such a planned and professional trip with a tour operator as with these people. They had planned and booked everything in advance. All pick up and drops happened on time as discussed the previous day. They usually brief you in the evening about evrything that is being planned for you for the next day so that you are mentally prepared for the upcoming trip. Also, their customer care takes feedback on the experience and issues if any, every alternate day, which is very important. Full team is from local population, hence they went overboard in helping us in getting good and trustworthy tour guides wherever necessary. The company has a proper hierarchy of professionals with which they operate and their team is so big that they can smoothly manage 150 around parties together just in Port Blair. Kudos to team for their good and efficient work and would definitely recommend them to everyone around. Best of luck!Written 24 January 2025
- C4270MHtanyas0 contributionsMesmerizing experience at AndamansThe best travel company for Andaman tour. We booked our honeymoon tour with them and everything was taken care of, starting from cab service to cruise booking to entry tickets. We just enjoyed the pristine beauty of the beautiful islands. They arranged it so perfectly it can't be described by words, everything was absolutely on time. Thanks to Sarath who was our tour coordinator at Port Blair. Baratang limestone caves is an interesting piece of nature. It’s a ferry ride away from the PB island.
Start early as 4 AM to reach the Jirtikang checkpoint ;
The check post is open four times a day but to make a visit to limestone caves and then return back, be at the check post by 5.45 where the vehicles are queued up for the clearance.
From there to a ferry point followed by a speed boat to Baratang caves
*There are two like stone caves not one. Please be sure to check the second cave too. Guide who accompanies you from the speed boat will not take you to the second cave*
Speed boat Carrie’s ten people and make sure to inform them that there are two caves and you are interested in going to the second cave too
Enroute can see mangrove forest by the side walking over the wooden bridge
Beautiful artifact of nature. Must visit place

Baratang Island, located about 100 km from Port Blair in the Andaman Islands, is a hidden gem known for its natural beauty and adventure. It offers a blend of unique attractions that make it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts.
One of the main highlights is the Limestone Caves, which feature stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations. A boat ride through dense mangrove creeks and a short trek lead you to these caves. Another natural wonder on the island is the Mud Volcano, the only active one in India. Although not as dramatic as lava volcanoes, it offers a fascinating glimpse into Earth's geological processes.
A visit to Parrot Island near Baratang is perfect for bird lovers. At sunset, thousands of parrots flock to the island, creating a breathtaking spectacle. The journey to Baratang itself is an adventure, as it passes through the Jarwa Tribal Reserve, home to the indigenous Jarwa tribe. While interaction with the tribe is restricted, the journey offers a glimpse of their protected territory.
The island’s mangrove creeks offer scenic boat rides, with lush greenery surrounding narrow waterways. These trips provide a tranquil experience, showcasing the island’s rich biodiversity. Baratang’s relatively untouched beaches and dense forests make it an ideal escape for those seeking peace and connection with nature.
Overall, Baratang Island is perfect for eco-tourists and those looking for an offbeat adventure away from the more popular Andaman destinations.

Ticket cost was Rs 900/ person for the public ferry on verification proof of Aadhar card or equivalent identity card.Boarding of speedboat was at a different section of Nilambar Jetty through a floating pontoon .The speedboat journey from " Nilambar Jetty " in Baratang to " Limestone Cave Jetty " in Baratang is a distance of 9km by boat. " Limestone Cave Jetty" in situated in midst of beautiful mangrove forests. From this jetty it is a 1.2 Km walk to Limestone caves. The walk through the countryside is beautiful and a birdwatcher's paradise of birds endemic to Andaman islands. On reaching the entrance it was pitch dark inside the Limestone cave crowded with tourists and a torch is essential for viewing the Stalagtites/Stalagmites and various formations inside this underground Limestone cave as it is totally dark inside with just a streak of sunlight emerging from two openings on the ceiling of this enclosed underground cave.

Being a team of 7 ladies we felt confident and comfortabthe with the Experience Andamans team. In the initial part of planning Ms. Reena understood all our requirements and helped us with the itinerary, she accommodated every change we asked for. Team coordinators were available at all locations and we were briefed before each trip which was very convenient for us.
Overall we had a wonderful experience with everything except for one at Corbyn's beach where in we had to wait for the cab for longer than expected, which put us in pressure to reach for the dinner cruise. Also booking in advance for the water activities didn't give a great experience. We were pushed to decide on costly water activities one day ahead which caused confusion as we were unaware about the beauty of island beaches before reaching there.

The have good coverage of cabs , drivers and helping agents who are spread throughout the Andaman. They assign a tour operator post landing who manages everything and a phone call away . Must visir place. As the journey itself (that starts from 2/3am ) is very unique and adventurous and memorable! The path is through a highly guarded 'jarawas' checkpost where you are allowed only in a convoy, at fixed timings - 3 timea a day. So if you miss one, you have to go in the next convoy after 3 hours-sane while coming back. The jarawas jungle is a natural, dense jungle and if you're lucky, can spot the actual jarawas....we saw a family, compelte with their bow and arrow crossing...you are strictly not allowed to click pictures or videos, or stop your car or make any loud sounds, or offer anything to them. Then omce you cross this area you go via a ferry, and then a small baot via a dense Mangrove forest area! This journey itself is unique and magical. You then trek around 15 minutes through the jungle and open village farms via a rough footpath. Limestone caves are in the open, sort of , I have seem bigger ones at Chhattisgarh, Jagdalpur. But these are nice too. The mud volcanos are not too big but a unique thing to see. It is going to be very hot so make sure you carry hats, cover your sleeves/prepare for sunburn

We went to Andaman with not much expectations but the place turned out to be one of the best spots for vacation in India. I had booked our hotels and flights in advance but realised that travelling will be a problem if we go all by ourselves. Thus decided to book Experience Andaman and they were very Swift with their pick up and drops.I would specially like to thank Mr.Anish for helping us plan the whole trip and help us with everything and also a very special thanks to Aman who personally took special care of us in Neil Island and planned two days as per the weather.
Was slightly disappointed with them on our second day of the trip in Havelock as they did not call us and update us that due to bad weather the elephant beach got closed.Nevertheless we got the refund for the same after returning back.
Overall a great experience with the team.

The limestone caves and mangroves are no doubt splendid but reaching the place from Port Blair is a pain. Mud volcanoes are not worth at all and can be skipped. The journey to Baratang needs to be started midnight around 3 as you need to get passage from the administration to cross the prohibited area inhabited by Jarawa tribes. There’s a queue of vehicles to get the pass and you need to be there asap. Beyond this point the vehicles go in the form of a convoy as overtaking is not allowed. Then comes the ferry point where a government ferry takes you to the other side of the backwaters. This ferry will also carry public transport buses, cars and everything that needs passage and you will be a part of this mixed crowd. Then comes the boat ride to the limestone caves followed by 1.5 km trek. Mud volcanoes is just a huge sand hill at least that’s what I found in Baratang. So visit this place if you are prepared for this long rugged haul. Else move to Havelock.

We visited Andaman in August. I must say that it was a memorable trip as Andaman is very tourist friendly place. As soon as we reach Portblair, we met Pankaj ( 9679521593 )who became our guide and drove us around whenever we needed . We visited Havelock, Baratang ,Ross, Neils . Earlier I used to think that beaches are beautiful only outside India but Andaman has changed this perception. Andaman trip was enriching, a perfect family vacation.

I booked a 3 days trip with them. Though it is a short trip they made a customized plan specifically based on my expectations. I want to thank Ms.Pavitra for making this plan.
The trip was memorable. We covered Port Blair, Ross, Havelock, Baratang islands.
Our tour coordinator is Mr.Harshu. I want to thank him for arranging daily commute in a safely and timely manner. He explained all our daily plans in detail the day before and made us comfortable. I want to thank all the drivers, agents who made our daily trip hassle free and memorable.
I highly recommend Experience Andamans if you are looking for a Andaman trip.
