    What to Expect
Visit: Coral Castle, 28655 S Dixie Hwy, Homestead, FL 33033-1214

A monument dedicated to heartbreak and lost love, Coral Castle is one of the world’s most remarkable accomplishments. During their visit, guests are invited to move on their own through the castle and can expect to see walls consisting of 8-foot-high pieces of stone; an accurate sundial; a Polaris telescope; an obelisk; a barbecue; a water well; a fountain; celestial stars and planets; and numerous pieces of furniture. The furniture pieces include a heart-shaped table, a table in the shape of Florida, twenty-five rocking chairs, chairs resembling crescent moons, a bathtub, beds and a throne. A typical visit takes about 1 to 2 hours.

To this day, no one knows how Edward Leedskalnin created the Coral Castle. Built under the cover of night and in secret, at a time when there were no modern construction conveniences, Ed would only say that he knew "the secret of the pyramids."

Overall a very interesting story and circumstance. The tour guides bring the castle to life and provide compelling information. It is a full 45 minutes, so I feel like you get your money's worth. Super hot, the umbrellas they provided were greatly appreciated!

We already knew the story of Edward Leedskalnin before we visited Coral Castle. The place is truly unique and the tour is informative (great tour guides). Don't expect a huge Disney-type castle though. This is the work of one single lovesick man. The stories behind...More

This is somewhere I'd wanted to visit for years and finally got the opportunity. The place is fascinating, as is the story behind it. It's been shown on multiple TV shows over the years and is so much more impressive in person. The entire structure...More

Let me begin by saying that I can see how this place may be viewed as a tourist trap however, if you are interested in science at all its an interesting stop. Ticket price was $18 each however we found a $2 coupon. The establishment...More
