Great experience of a rich culture and delicious food!
May 2021 • Couples
Ashley was very engaging and has a passion for sharing history and culture. The food was fantastic and I learned a lot from the background of the recipes/ingredient. Everything was carefully picked to bring Havana to life! I enjoyed delicious empanadas, cuban sandwich, mojito, coffee, charros, juices, and a very unique ice cream! The portions were generous and history is very rich.

Highly recommended
We had an absolute blast! Our guide was Faruk, and he was very knowledgeable and patient! The walk wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated - we made many stops - sampled a variety of foods and drinks. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Miami.

Wonderful Day!!
May 2021
I can not say enough about this tour...Our tour guide was the absolute best!!! He was so personable it was as if he had been knowing us for years and didn't feel like a tour felt more like I was hang out with an old friend...I'm so glad I choice this tour instead of the other because watching the others their tour guide was too formal. Even after our tour was over he stood around and chatted with us and told us to let him know if we ever return to the area for another experience and another part of town!

What the ???
Booked a week in advance and at 12:39AM on the day of the 11:30AM tour received an email cancelling the tour. No explanation. Too late for us to book another tour on that day. Oh yeah, we did get a full refund, not good enough. If we had cancelled with less than 12 hours notice we would not have received any refund. Doesn’t seem right, does it?

Just not Good
Mar 2021
We've been on several food tours and this was by far the worst. Most of the food was of such low quality that it ended up in the trash. Our guide, Faruk, commented that "most people hate this one" and (looking at the overflowing garbage with our tossed food), "Everyone is too full to eat the Cuban?". We were not full. The food was not good. Politics should have been avoided by everyone on a tour yet Faruk managed to tell each guset what was wrong with their home city/state, and repeatedly brought up inflamatory (and sometimes bizzare) opinions regarding local, state and national politics, and the legitimacy of COVID. When not sharing his political views he shared "facts" like, "Elian Gonzalas was kidnapped by the people of Little Havana and they wanted to impress all the camera crews that came to the area so that is how the tourist area of Little Havana came to be". Two group members walked away from the tour before it was even over. It was three gruelling hours trying to be polite to an offensive man. The only edible items were the Cuban coffee and tiny cup of sugarcane water.

WoW, WoW, WoW.
I first want to say that in not even one percent any of this review is true. If I didn't guide the tour I would maybe believe that some of the other guides really did something wrong.
Luckily there is always an option for the other side of the story to be told and there are other two groups on the same day who left an excellent review and said all was perfect.
First, I want to say that politics was spoken on the tour, but only in a historical context, and the influence Cuban American politics had so the Little Havana communities were formed.
Elian Gonzales's so-called "Kidnapping" was mentioned, but only in a way that the Castros government was trying to portray it as such. We are all proud of the community's efforts to ensure a much better future for him.
There were no camera crew impressing mentioned. BS.
Little Havana existed way before that historical event and it will for long after.
I said it's the city that decided to invest more in the area to have a central place for community events, like Viernes Culturales or other events that promote local culture and I even introduced everyone to the lady that organizes the community events. Those two stories are not connected at all, whatsoever.
As far as for Covid19 talk, I only speak about it before the tour when I ask people if they had any symptoms or share the recommended info from CDC on mask mandates.
My whole family had the COVID19 and I ended up in a hospital because of it. I have no clue what you are talking about. Completely.
As far as the food, each one of the places is selected so to try tastings of their best food. This is the first time I ever hear someone complain. Some of these restaurants are world famous.
The Cuban sandwich tasting spot is one of the staples of our community and we will continue to work together in the future.
I just feel bitterness and anger in your review and hopefully, you will find your peace, but it's not nice to lie and slander.
I will take this criticism and hope to do better every day and maybe make sure your next Miami visit will be more pleasant.

Best Way to End Our Trip
We booked the Authentic Little Havana Food and Culture Walking Tour for the last day of our Miami getaway, and we were not disappointed. Faruk was an amazing guide! He’s lived all over, hailing from Macedonia originally, but has called Miami home for the past few years. It was just my husband and myself on the tour, so that was an added bonus. Come hungry because you will leave stuffed. The food was incredible, and we loved the easy pace of the tour. Every owner/staff at the restaurants and shops we stopped in greeted us with such kind hospitality, we didn’t feel like tourists and felt we could blend in. We saw another tour where the guide was wearing a headset and I had to laugh because that’s no way to be guided around town. Faruk took the time to ask about our backgrounds and find out a bit about us before we headed out on the route, and it was so refreshing to just go with the flow. We enjoyed learning the history and the different cultures that influenced what we know today as Little Havana. We highly recommend this tour if you’re looking to get a glimpse of something other than South Beach. Thank you, Faruk!

Lovely Tour with a Fantastic Guide!
Mar 2021 • Friends
Feruk was fantastic! The mix of historical facts, food, and personal touch were perfect!
We really appreciated Feruk’s connection with the local shops, giving us a personal tour and making us feel like we were part of the local crowd. None of those silly headsets.
Highly recommend!!

walking tour down SW 8th ST
Mar 2021
Enjoyable laid-back walking tour across SW 8th Street stopping along the way at various points of interests and discussing Cuban-American history with regards to the neighborhood. The guide was. not Cuban but he grew up here and takes a personal interest in it's history and culture. No pressure as far as shopping but allowed time for any purchases, but encouraged people to come back afterwards if they wish to shop. Visited a cigar factory, guayaberas shirt store, viewed a Cuban art gallery, visited Domino park, drank sugar cane juice and snacked at various Cuban and Central American eateries. Not physically strenuous, nor rushed and your free to ask any questions. The food and the Cuban coffee was simply put delicious. Good guide. I noticed that compared to the competition, this tour seemed more comprehensive. Exceptions are made for any dietary requirements.

You do walk a couple of miles by the time the tour is done. There are several stops for food and drink so lots of rests in between.
